ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING, EXTERIOR LIGHTING
The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Kicks. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the headlights became extremely dim before the failure was self-corrected. The failure was intermittent. Occasionally, the contact had to restart the vehicle for the headlights to illuminate properly. The contact stated that after the initial start-up, the vehicle hesitated, and there was an extensive amount of time before the transmission shifted into 2nd gear. There was also an extended amount of time before the vehicle shifted into 1st gear while the vehicle was idling. While driving uphill and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle decelerated and lost motive power. The failure became a persistent failure. The contact stated that on one occasion, while driving at an undisclosed speed, while the transmission was shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, a loud boom came from the vehicle, and the vehicle lost power. The contact was able to push the vehicle, with assistance, to a nearby parking lot. There was a mechanic shop nearby, and a certified mechanic inspected the vehicle. The mechanic determined that the transmission fluid was leaking from the driver's side CV axle. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was made aware that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) and 25V508000 (Exterior Lighting, Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000. The VIN was not available.

While driving the car seems to be stalling, slowing down while I’m driving. The car feels like it doesn’t want to go up to a fast speed on the highway. I feel uncomfortable and unsafe that the car will stop instantly on the highway and cause me to crash. So that is why I’m reporting this because it’s unsafe. Secondly the left driver side window goes up in down while I’m driving. This also makes me feel uncomfortable while driving.

STEERING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
I went to have car checked and mechanic said it was a recall and the problem is an unstable electrical connection within the sensor that measures the force the driver applies to the steering wheel during turns and can result in the power steering feature being disabled. I can have inspection done at any time. I drive my family to work and my infant grandson around. I don’t want to have an accident or put my family at risk. Other vehicles that were of the same yr and make have been recalled but mine was made in a different country so it has not been recalled as of yet but I need answers due to the risk factor of driving this vehicle.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS
The emergency braking systems will randomly brake without anything in front of the car. When backing into a parking spot, if the car senses a parking block it will emergency brake. When driving, there has been a person walking on a sidewalk, not in the road or crossing the road, and the car emergency braked. Other times it has emergency braked randomly when driving for no known reason. I have taken the car in to get serviced and was informed the sensors are fine and it is simply the location of the sensors causing the issue. I was informed that no recalls are present and there is nothing they can do to fix it. This presents a safety hazard to myself and those around me, as I do not know when it will emergency brake, potentially causing an accident. There are varying days and times of incidents and the vehicle had less than 10,000 miles.

The contact's daughter owns a 2022 Nissan Kicks. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving approximately 70 MPH, the hood inadvertently flew open, shattering the windshield. The vehicle was steered over to the side of the road and a rope was used to securely close the hood. The vehicle was then taken to the residence. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that unknown parts needed to be replaced. The contact was informed to contact the Insurance Company for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact believed that the failure was associated with an unknown recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.

AIR BAGS
The vehcile was in a munor accicent. There was a rock in the road on a roundabout. The rock popped the front left tire causing vehichle to go out of control. There was some undercarriage damage to the control arms. There was no body damage. No rollover. No other vehicle involved. There was some wheel damage on the right side due to the curbing. This for seemingly no reason caused the passabger side curtain airbags to depoly. There was nobody in the passanger seat.

I’ve been going in the dealership a lot regarding this car since I’ve purchase the car On 10/09 I was charged 165.00 to get diagnosed test done on car After diagnosed Service informed me to get electrical intake valve and EMC Unit, EMC Bracket and Audio unit replaced from Nissan Service In Grand Blanc Michigan, Dealership quoted me close to $5,561 to all this electrical work fixed, General Manager King in grand blanc Michigan , called the police on me at his dealership yesterday ,after I tried to explain this to him. He only offered me to call customer service and $500 off I am Army Veteran who pays her car payment on time every month which is a $534.00 a month these people are very , unprofessional, inconsiderate and rude , my radio has not work since 08/2023, due to electrical and wiring issues EMC Unit EMC Bracket , I purchase the car in [XXX], my payoff balance is $22,000 please HELP car battery is draining almost everyday because of these electrical issues every six months Im replacing battery due to electrical issues, have to take portable battery jump in my car just to in case car shuts down. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving 50-55 MPH and merging to the right lane, the vehicle continued pulling to the right, unintendedly even though the driver had straightened the steering wheel to drive straight. The contact stated that the passenger's side of the vehicle crashed into a guardrail, and the vehicle stopped. It was unknown whether the brakes were inoperable at the time of the incident. It was unknown whether a warning light was illuminated before of after the crash. The passenger's side roof rail air bags deployed. The contact stated that the axle and the front passenger's side tire were bent. No police report was filed. There was no injury sustained. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was then towed to an auto body repair shop. The insurance company declared the vehicle a total loss. The dealer was not notified of the failure. Drivers side door lock will not function properly. The remote will successfully lock/unlock all of the other doors. If the drivers door is locked with the key it will remain locked despite the other doors unlocking with the remote. This problem has been widely reported on Nissan online forums, there are no indicator/warning lights associated with this issue. This issue provides the illusion of a securely locked car when then drivers door remains unlocked, providing an opportunity for theft or worse while parked. This has been an ongoing issue since purchasing the vehicle.

I was driving at a speed of 32 no other cars around. All of a sudden I hear some buzzing and feel vibration, and I see a hazard icon in the dash flashing. It was a white triangle outlined in red with a red exclamation mark inside of the triangle. The car slowed dramatically almost stopping as the alarm or buzzing sounded. Then all at once the alarm stopped and the car resumed speed.

My car has repeatedly stalled while in motion. •No warning lights appear on the dashboard before or after stalling. •The most recent incident occurred in front of a moving car, putting you and your family at risk. •Luckily, no one was injured, but this continues to be a serious safety hazard. •This problem has happened before, meaning it is a recurring mechanical defect. I’ve reported this issue to Nissan, but they are refusing to acknowledge it. •You have not received any recall notices despite this being a major safety concern. •Nissan has not provided a fix or meaningful response regarding the stalling issue. The vehicle has a sensor in the front that will auto brake if it thinks I will crash into something . However many times it’s braked there’s been nothing in front of the car. I’ll have great distance between my car and the one in front of me. There have been at least 4 incidents since I’ve owned the car (1 year). There’s no active recalls, and the light will flash that I’m going to hit something until I shut off the car. Once I turn it back on the warning collision light is gone.

The contact owned a 2021 Nissan Kicks. The contact stated that his wife was stopped in traffic when suddenly a rear vehicle crashed into the entire rear at 25 MPH. There was no property damage, and the vehicles came to a stop upon impact. The air bags did not deploy however the other driver did have a air bag deployment. Both vehicles were attached to each other due to the impact and were able to be separated. The vehicle did not need to be towed. The brake system, tire pressure monitoring system, check engine, and warning lights were illuminated. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed by the insurance company. The contact's wife sustained a headache and pain in her left hand. that required medical treatment. No other injuries were reported. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 83,015.

VISIBILITY/WIPER
On the morning of February 24, 2025, I went to the doctor's office because I was really sick. Their protocol is to check in then go wait in the vehicle since you might be contagious to other patients. My mom had gone with me, and was inside checking me in. I am sitting in my parked vehicle at 7:35am when there was a VERY loud pop that scared the heck out of me! My mom said she heard it from inside the building, as did other patients sitting in the lobby! I waited a moment and looked around. There was nothing unusual so I exited the vehicle and walked around. I got to the back and found the whole back window was completely cracked, although still intact, and there were big areas on the sides and bottom, where there was more breaking of the glass to the frame. The temperature at the time was in the low 40s, and I had used the heater from the house to the clinic, which is about a mile away. The car was on, as was the heater, which I have done on many occasions with no incident.

Something or Power steering seems to be affected, especially more so during rainy or snowy seasons. Wheel needs no assistance to turn and turn very easily as I turned/spun it to one side and other. Seems to go passed its lock point. Especially noticeable during reverse and park/when parking.

I have had several incidents where my vehicle malfunctioned. The most recent one that I was concerned about my safety was that I was driving 55 mph where my car applied the automatic emergency feature and suddenly started breaking without reason. I was not able to accelerate due to the malfunction of the car breaking on its own and when the car reached about 30 mph that’s when i was able to accelerate again. The other incidents is when the car’s crashing system warning lights and beeping would come up constantly even when no cars are around. As well as when I am going in reverse. My car will start beeping and warning me that I am going to hit something while everything is clear.
