The contact's daughter owns a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLA250. The contact stated while driving 15 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that the crankcase ventilation system had failed. The dealer determined that the engine oil separator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to an unknown Extended Warranty Coverage. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 88,180.

Rear differential has failed/malfunctioned. The vehicle is available upon request. It is a road safety issue as it will stall/ hesitate when accelerating and has a jerking effect. It has been confirmed by an independent service center. It had not been inspected by anyone, other than an independent service center mechanic. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure.

The contact owns a 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA250. While the contact’s daughter was driving approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle lost automotive power and stalled. The vehicle was eventually restarted and driven to the local dealer who diagnosed that the transmission valve body and conductor plate had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 47,749.

My 2015 Mercedes Benz GLA check engine light came on for error P052E Positive Crankcase ventilation assembly. This is a $2,000 dollar repair because you need to buy the whole assembly and you can’t just buy the valve like other cars. This part has a recall on other models but not the GLA. For example the metrics uses the same part and is covered by a recall but not the GLA. We need to included in this recall. This design flaw renders my 2015 useless and virtually has no value. Please compel Mercedes to recall this defective part and design flaw that requires 6-8 hours of labor for a simple part that is easily accessible on all other cars.

The contact owns a 2016 Mercedes Benz GLA. The contact stated that the check engine light had appeared on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where a diagnostic was performed. The dealer determined that the crankcase ventilation valve had malfunctioned which blocked the actuator. As a result, both the fuel and the oil had started to mix inside the engine which caused the ventilation valve to not close as intended. The contact was given an estimate for repair. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.

My vehicle has two separate tire inflation placards. There is a placard inside the drivers door recommending 43 PSI (cold) all tires, and another placard inside the fuel door recommending 38 PSI front and 34 PSI rear (cold). Two different tire service centers have confirmed that my tires are wearing out prematurely because of overinflation. My telephone calls to Mercedes USA have been handled poorly because their representatives are poorly training and do not understand the nature of my issue.

My Car's warranty expired in Dec 2022 and a few months later the engine light came on. It stayed on for a few weeks than was turned off by itself. In Dec 2023, the engine light came back on again. I also noted jerks when driving slow (10 miles/h). Upon checking with Mercedes Benz of Tri Cities-Richland, WA, spending $400 on diagnostics, the staff quoted me $3500 for Crank Case Ventilation replacement. This is a really expensive part/labor and it is ridiculous that Mercedes does a poor job! A quick online search proved that this issue is pretty common in MBenz models, there should definitely be a recall. This is inconvenient and appropriate actions should be undertaken against this.

The engine light is one and the related code for the engine light is P052E-71. The valve for Crankcase ventilation has a malfunction. There is recall for the code for other Mercedes Benz car model varies from 2015 to 2019. I believe this code on for GLA 250 is the same manufacture malfunction parts and should be recalled for free replacement for safety reason.

Following regular maintenance of my 2016 GLA 250 with my mechanic for the car repeatedly stalling, the mechanic discovered there is a fuel leak causing the fuel injectors and fuel rall to not get proper fuel injection. The mechanic found a manufacturer’s recall for the make, model, and year of my car. My car’s VIN# says this particular car is not affected. However, the exact issue is presenting in my car, which can cause significant engine damage. It’s believed my car, with the same make, model& year, is indeed impacted by this issue. My VIN should be considered to be included to have this recall.

The contact owns a 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLA250. The contact stated that while the vehicle was at the dealer for a routine oil change, the contact was informed that the differential was fractured. The dealer provided a cost for the repair however, the vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to a used car dealer and to an independent mechanic, where the same assessment was made. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was referred to the manufacturer for assistance in repairing the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.

All MB GLA and CLA 2015 cars have a common issue "CRANKCASE VENTILATION VALVE" which should be replaced a few times for the cars. Each service will cost at least $2000.00. Please ask MB to recall their cars and fix this issue.

The contact owns a 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLA250. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission inadvertently shifted into neutral(N). No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V033000 (Power Train) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.

While driving the vehicle a message is constantly required to acknowledge an SOS inoperable system which can be dangerous while driving. Mercedes ME Brace no longer supports the system due to being an obsolete system 3g network. The dealership requires the system to be disabled by deleting the software or removing the component to fix the issue of SOS being inoperable at a cost to the customer.

While driving the vehicle the system shows SOS as inoperable and requires constant acknowledgment by the driver while the car is in motion. This is a safety issue especially when driving and the driver loses focus on the road, it removes the digital speedometer and has to acknowledge the system error and potentially can be in an accident when not focusing on the road. Mercedes mbrace no longer supports the system due to an obsolete 3g system that is utilized causing the system to show an error as SOS inoperable. There is no software service patch to fix the issue of lost connectivity that is no longer supported by Mercedes. The dealer ship recommendation is to troubleshoot and repair that cost the customer to pay out of pocket even though this is not supported and no longer can be used as a system. Or to completely rip out the system
