My GLA250 Instrument Cluster had been glitching out. The turn signals indicators would go off when the turn signal lights are initiated. The Check engine light, high beam light, and other warning lights come on for no reason, or dim or no backlight, inaccurate gauge readings, erratic gauge needle movement, and even a completely dead cluster. I took the car to the dealership and they said the instrument cluster was faulty and needed to be replace. The car is still at the dealership because they haven't figured out how to program it right. Since the instrument cluster is a vital component of the vehicles safety feature, this should be a recall. I have spent $3500.00 to fix an issue that should not have occurred since the car is only 6 years old. There are several online forums that discuss this very same issue that Mercedes is having with their instrument clusters.

There was a gas smell that would seep into the driving cabin from the engine. It was intermittent however when it did occur, the smell was strong enough to cause light headedness to the occupants of the vehicle. I took the car to my personal mechanic who told me that this was a common issue with these cars; however, Mercedes had not issued a recall. I my mechanic fix the issue since they had already diagnosed the problem. I did some research and discovered that there is class action law suit regarding this same issue. (Please see link below:). I am respectfully requesting NHTSA conduct an investigation into this matter as this is definitely a safety hazard as the gas smell could impair the driver to the point of not being able to drive the vehicle safely. Stearing wheel began to make a clicking sound and would hardly turn. The Front Left Malfunction Service required light came on and when I took it to the dealership they informed me that the clock spring and airbag are broken and need to be replaced. He stated the vehicale is drivable but the airbag does not work. In 2017/2018 there was a recall for this exact issue and it shows my car was impacted and the recall repair was completed but that was prior to me purchasing the vehicle. Because the recall has been closed they will not honor repairing it and the vehicle now does not have a airbag that works properly.

Same part had been recalled from all other models but not my model. It's the same part being used across Mercedes and they won't sale the valve and force customers like me there are thousands other to spent $2700 plus to replace whole system. Should have been recalled since it's same valve that may be using across all vehicles. Failed the emission test which is a big problem they should have addressed.

Check engine light received a diagnosis from Mercedes dealership that the crankcase ventilator line is malfunctioning and it’s a very common issue with this model. The transmission stalls during driving, the gears do not jump properly and the car cannot reverse, extremely dangerous at intersections and on the highway. Car needs to be turned off, cooled and restarted. This issue first appeared within a month of owning the vehicle from a certified Mercedes dealership. Refused to help during COVID, and by the time they were taking appointments again (two to three months after warranty expiration), warranty expired, would not honor and refusing to offer any help currently, expensive repair.

They had recall of this part which is valve in all other models except for this one. My vehicle failed VEIP test due to faulty valve and required assistance from the dealer but they refused to provide solutions and asked to pay $2700 and $230 diagnosis fee when we already had code which showed which part and which is recalled in all other Mercedes vehicles with 150000 milage warranty. We cannot just replace valve they are forcing to replace whole assembly causing problems for many owners like me. My vehicle has only 36k milage. If same valve is faulty which creates environmental hazard that should be recalled in all models from same manufacturer Instead of forcing ripping customers with high cost and environmental risk.

The engine light comes on constantly. The 1st incident happened 05/2024. I have reported this to the dealership and was told it was ok to drive. Then it kept happening, on 11/05/24 I took the vehicle in for repair. It was returned 11/08/24 and ilthe engine light turned on again. I was told to take the car to the dealership on 11/13/24 and the vehicle has been at the dealership until now 12/11/24. The vehicle stalled on an occasion while in motion. I had to press the start button to continue driving the car. Another occasion the dashboard turned off completely yet the engine light was on. I have voiced to the dealership that I don’t feel safe in the vehicle. On 12/06/25 the dealership notified me a part was ordered to resolve the issue with the engine. Again, I don’t feel safe driving this car. I have voiced this numerous times to the dealership and customer service. I’m waiting on obtaining the documentation from the dealership to provide to you.

I was driving on the freeway and the transmission shifted into neutral and the car lost power. The Red malfunction lights came on and said transmission malfunction, DO NOT SHIFT, STOP driving immediately, contact dealer. There is a class action lawsuit and a RECALL on the 2019 GLA 250 transmission of this car (mine is 2018 GLA 250) Mercedes customer service is telling me that my VIN is not included and I would like it to be included The NHTSA recall number for the 2019 cars is #21V033000 I was told by Mercedes that for this to be considered as part of the recall i would need an NHTSA inspector to see the car BEFORE i have any repair work done
