Car has been sent to dealership service center multiple times since we bought it in June 2024 for a sound created by rear camera. Dealership acknowledged sound made by camera. Last thing shop did was place a “foam padding” to help reduce sound. But it did not help with the noise. They claim that it is “usual” across all GLA250. It is consistently making a noise that it distracts the driver. I tried to reach out to dealersip Sales dept and they could not help us with the car and suggested we talk to corporate but they also just referred us back to the dealership service center.

The contact owns a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA250. The contact stated that while driving 35-40 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated. There was an abnormally loud rumbling sound heard. The contact pulled over and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fuel injectors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure was related to TSB No: 2022030003. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 86,000.

My Mercedes Benz GLA250 has a faulty rear differential and began shuddering and driving poorly when it had 44K miles on it. This is a very premature failure as diagnosed by two repair shops and is happening to thousands of this model Mercedes Benz. The damage can be catastrophic if continued to be driven as the differential metal continues to deteriorate and possibly have metal shavings travel into the engine. I was told initially by Mercedes Benz it was bad tires! I replaced the tires and the shuddering became worse. I searched for the problem myself on the internet as the problem continued to worsen and countless people are complaining, saying it’s the rear differential. The cost is between $4K and $5K to replace.

While driving at various speeds, the vehicle was lagging with a loud rumbling sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. Incident on [XXX] 1450 GLA 250 approx 6 months old ? Est car was doing 40 mph impacted back of car my GLA 250 (other car was 1955 chevy - driver stated to police and on report he had a brake failure - no brakes ) as she was at the stop light it pushed her car about 4-5 feet almost hitting car in front of her which was also stopped at light - Police and ambulance was on site since it was 3 min from my house and car still on which dashboard was lighted with the airbag failures •The GLA 250 car was stopped at stop light and not moving when it was impacted from rear •The GLA 250 car airbags did not deploy it also showed error messages for right/left rear and front left airbag to call service (so car knew it had impact and failed to deploy airbags) •The Car SOS and my wife phone both engaged calling 911 so car knew it had a impact •Seat belt did not restrain here as it webbing only bunched up as she hit steering wheel •The car computer dash was still on when I arrived and police- it was flashing error on left front/right & left rear airbag failure to call service •I am shocked at the severity of impact that airbag did not deploy as wife definitely blacked out and she did hit her face on steering wheel on right hand side •I have pictures of airbag failures messages to call service, pictures of airbags not deployed and seatbelt - this car was bought for its mentioned safety record and sold to me which I only purchases this due to its reported safety record This is a complete failure of the vehicles safety devices of this car, risking my wife life - currently it is being help as of today at repair shop per DEVON cooperate has to investigate safety issue Cavallo Newton, 18S Newtown Street Rd, Newtown Square PA 19073 #610-353-330 •Devon Euro Motor of Devon PA stated i these cases he cannot take accident report - I have called HQ Mercedes and have case number [XXX] - I stated this is a total failure of all safety devices and wife could have been killed INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION A

Today a Check Engine Light turned on my vehicle. I pulled the code via the OBD2 port and looked it up online. It turns out that this issue, code P052E, a defective Crankcase Ventilation Regulator Valve, is a well known problem on in-period MB cars and the manufacturer has issued an extended warranty to other models in their range, but excluded the GLA250, which uses the same parts as several other covered models including the GLC300, a vehicle covered by said extended warranty. If left untreated oil can travel up the electronic lines, ultimately fouling the ECU leading to an extreme hazard. This fault is also extremely expensive to fix, about $2000, as the faulty part (alone about $70) is sold only as a component of a larger kit (about $700), and installing the kit requires removing motor mounts and hoisting the engine. Mercedes should either widen the Extended Warranty to cover all of it's vehicles built with the defective part or issue a recall.

Transmission from drive well sometimes shift to neutral while it is at a stand still usually waiting for a light to turn green, after which it takes its time to shift back into drive. While this happened a warning light appeared malfunction take straight to dealer. Yesterday seems as if ABS kicked in while driving, threw me into the steering wheel than stopped shaking within 1-2 sec, and let me accelerate off. Was passing in an individual at the time. Don’t know what to make of it.

Good Afternoon, the status of my vehicle is simply UNKNOWN. I purchased my vehicle on the 26th last year of January. That same day I drove it back home my car was jerking. So I went back the following day to see if I could get into another vehicle because this one was malfunctioning they didn’t want to do anything for me. I tried so many different options to get out of this car I had a few scares driving this car the week of ownership. About sis times my car cut off completely during traffic and I have some recorded videos. Theirs a leakage somewhere I can fill up my gas tank to full and drive maybe two blocks away from my house and the gas meter is say that I have half a tank. Now my car is overheating, it’s not cranking it just tells me on the dashboard that 4MATIC is unavailable.

Upon inspection, the contact discovered that a plastic part of the roof panel had detached. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who replaced the right and left roof guides, motor glass, and headliners. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V854000 (Structure); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

there is a known issue with the mercedes benz GLA 250 rear differential. it is defective and need to be replaced many times during the life of the vehicle. i have not had an accident that i can relate to this defect but i feel it need to be reported and investigated by your office. the cost of the repair is over $6000. you can read more about this issue in this forum [XXX] i started reporting the issue before the warranty expired, the dealer was never able to find the problem, after the warranty expires they "discovered" what the issue is, the rear differential need to be replaced. of course they deny any wrongdoing but this is a well documented manufacturing defect that should be addressed. In December 2023, the check engine light came on. The dealership said it was the rear differential. The dealership fixed the problem under warranty. In July 2024, the problem returned. The dealership said it could repeat the procedure from December, but that eventually the rear differential will need to be replaced. The dealership said that only replacing the rear differential will fix the problem for good. Obviously, MB recognized the problem and upgraded the software and whatever else was wrong with the current rear differential. The car is now out of warranty. Clearly, MB knew of the problem and chose to direct it's dealerships to use stop-gap measures that do not fix the problem, until the rear differential must be replaced, at the owner's expense, with an upgraded rear differential. It is dangerous to drive the vehicle with a faulty rear differential.

Engine runs fine while driving and then cuts off while coming to a stop. This happened three (3) times last week since 7/23/24. Each time it happened I was stopping at a traffic light! After the failure a warning lamp flashed something about, Do Not Change Gears. Will make appointment to have it checked out as soon as possible.

Fault code P052E71 crankcase ventilation has a malfunction. The actuator is blocked. This seems to be a common issue with 4 cylinder turbo engines. Dealer charged $2500 to replace, and even after replacements system fails again within 1-2 years.
