In our continuing efforts to assure the proper performance of Mercedes-Benz products and to enhance the satisfaction of our customers, Mercedes-Benz USA (“MBUSA”) is extending the coverage for the ignition coil on your vehicle from the original New Vehicle Limited Warranty of 4 years / 50,000 miles to 15 years / 150,000 miles (whichever occurs first),and applies to the vehicle regardless of ownership. Why the warranty extension? On certain Model Year vehicles, the ignition coil might not operate and meet specifications as intended, potentially illuminating the check engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp (‘MIL’). Any repairs under this warranty extension must be performed by an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership. • If your preferred authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership performs a diagnosis and confirms that your vehicle has the issue, the repair will be performed at no cost to you. • This extended warranty does not apply to any other components or conditions beyond the ones mentioned above, and standard warranty terms apply, including the exclusions with respect to extra expenses, as identified in the Service and Warranty Information booklet.

In our continuing efforts to assure the proper performance of Mercedes-Benz products and to enhance the satisfaction of our customers, Mercedes-Benz AG ("MBAG"), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles is extending the warranty coverage on the ignition coil in certain Model Year ("MY") vehicles listed below from the original New Vehicle Limited Warranty of 4 years/50,000 miles to 15 years/ 150,000 miles (whichever occurs first) due to the following condition: • The ignition coil might not operate and meet specifications as intended due to a fault in the winding process of the ignition coil. This may cause reduction in the coil's performance, and lead to combustion misfires on the affected cylinder. This may also cause an increase in exhaust emissions and result in the illumination of the check engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp ('MIL'). Please be advised that all repairs being claimed under this extended warranty must have a quick test uploaded with the following fault code information and may be audited. • P030022 - random/multiple cylinder misfire detected. • P030x85 or P030x00 - cylinder x misfire detected. (x = the affected cylinder)

Summary
Complaint Customer reports a warning message in red in the instrument cluster: "Water fording not possible! Service required". The message is no longer active following an ignition cycle. Cause As a result of an absent or aborted reference run of the air flaps of the N127 'drivetrain' control unit (PTCU), the fault codes P153001 and P153101 are stored in the fault memory and the "Water fording not possible" warning message appears in the instrument cluster. The flap system nevertheless functions correctly. Note: The fault codes must be the only ones stored in the fault memory. Additional entries in the fault memory that concern the intake air flap system could indicate a mechanical fault in the system Remedy 1. Perform software update of the N127 'powertrain' control unit (PTCU) (XENTRY data status 12/2021 or more recent)

Summary
Complaint The result from the XENTRY battery test does not match the current state of the battery. Cause The XENTRY battery tester uses the stored on-board electrical system data in the SAM module to access the health of the 12 volt battery. The XENTRY battery test may not take into account a single discharge event because the SAM cannot record the data if the battery is discharged. Note: A discharged battery does not necessarily need to be replaced. A discharged battery may be recovered with no permanent damage. Remedy Follow guided tests as described.

Summary
Complaint Creaking noise from the upper area of the instrument panel when driving off-road (see Video 1). This noise can also occur after conducting repair work on the refrigerant circuit. Cause A refrigerant line may be twisted when mounted in the engine compartment (see Picture 1, orange line) which can lead to the generation of a creaking noise on the air conditioner box. The noise may be heard in the interior on rough terrain or rough roads. Remedy Release and resecure refrigerant line as necessary.

Complaint A metallic buzzing/background noise in the door whenever the sound system is active may be heard. Cause The cause could be the window lifter cable. It is possible that this cable vibrates at low frequencies and strikes the window lifter frame intermittently. Remedy Replace window lifter frame at door subject to complaint of a metallic background noise.

Summary
Complaint Windshield heater not activating when expected. Note: Windshield heater is only active with the engine running when the defrost button has been activated and outside temperatures are below 41Â°F (5Â°C). Cause Stone chippings on the windshield may result in an increased internal resistance of the electric windshield heater. When detecting increased internal resistance, the N22/1 "Air conditioning system" control unit switches off the windshield heater. Remedy Follow steps as prescribed.

Summary
Complaint It may not be possible to unlock the vehicle with the key. There may also be a complaint regarding water entry at the roof. Fault codes that concern the antenna module may be stored in the fault memory of the KEYLESS-GO control unit. Cause A crack may have developed in the roof panel at the rear left roof luggage carrier pan (see picture 1) which may lead to water entry and a possible unexpected behavior of the radio remote control function of the central locking system. Remedy Follow prescribed procedures.
