Cylinder head needed to be replaced on the M264 engine at 35,000 miles. The replacement part is also known to be defective for the same reasons. This is a common defect known to the manufacturer and they have not issued a recall. My concern is that of a roadside breakdown that would endanger my wife and myself. Thank you for your consideration.

The contact owns a 2016 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated that there was an abnormal fuel odor inside the vehicle when the heater was activated. The contact stated that the cabin air filter was replaced; however, the odor was lingering inside of the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed and the contact was informed that there was gas leaking onto the transmission and that the fuel rail, fuel hose, and fuel injectors needed to be replaced. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V961000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); as a possible cause for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 53,000.

The engine lamp turned yellow. The car got inspected by a mechanic and showed code. P052E, which indicates the defect in the crankcase ventilation valve. I see that many cars of the same model in which were produced about the same year had the same defect. I called the manufacture customer service and they claim that my van was not included in the recall. My vehicle likely had the same problem as other people did in the past, but for some reason my vin was not included.

Check engine light came on, it has to be with the Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve. So I found out that other people are experiencing the same thing. So I know that there is a recall by the manufacturer. And I want to do the same for me.

The left rear subframe separated from the main frame causing the car to pull to the left when braking. I had an episode where I was stopping for a traffic light and the car started fishtailing and I almost lost control of the car. Following this episode, I took the car to a mechanic who advised me that the car was unsafe to drive. My mechanic also told me that he has repaired a number of these vehicle with the same problem, and that Mercedes Benz has extended their warranty from 4 years 50,000 miles to 20 years unlimited mileage. They did the extension after someone filed a class action suit in Georgia about the problem. The vehicle is presently at a Mercedes dealer awaiting the new subframe.

The engine light is on with only 35000 miles. Upon using an OBD2 scanner, error code P052e positive crankcase ventilation(PCV) malfunction was detected. It's a problem that I researched and noticed a lot of people having the same issue. I was told that this can cause the car to stall or shut down? This causes serious risk and safety issues to drivers, passengers, and pedestrians. With so many complains about this problem, I believe the manufacturer and dealers should take responsibility before tragedies happen.

The contact owns a 2010 Mercedes-Benz C300W. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for an alignment. The contact was later informed that the wheel alignment was not fully completed due to extensive corrosion on the subframe. The contact picked up the vehicle and upon investigation discovered that there was a warranty on the vehicle for the corrosion of the subframe. An appointment was scheduled, and the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it remained for two weeks. The contact was later informed that the condition of the vehicle did not reach the warranty standards for repair. The vehicle remained in the possession of the dealer unrepaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that dealers were independently owned and made their own decisions on warranty repairs. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.

failed piston wrist pins from early production of mercedes w205 c300. The issue was diagnosed by mercedes of manhattan and could not provide me a fix. Took the car in for an oil change and asked them to look at the brakes and rear as there was a strange noise. Vehicle was inspected and found the entire subframe is rotted. Was advised this is a common problem with Mercedes and there were some recalls. Unfortunately no open recall on this vehicle and it is now not driveable as this is a safety risk. Car has been driven 60 miles/day for the past 3 months and could have had serious consequences.

Lost of drive power and the vehicle steering wheel locked on my mercedes from a damaged malfunctioning steering lock actuator module due to mechanical issues within the steering column such as bad steering wheel assembly, faulty steering lock module or issue with the wiring or other electrical components and the mercedes dealer is the only one who solves this issue no other mechanic in general. My safety was at risk due to I lost power and lost of front brakes due to bad sway bar assembly or components could of caused and accident when this happened on November 12, 2024 the problem dealership found during vehicle inspection was code 25464 they told me recommend to replace electric lock module and repair estimate was $2,829.78 and before I approved the the amount I told Mr Ivan Velasco service advisor that after they replace the module that if my vehicle was going to be working again and that if I was just going to make 1 payment of $2,829.78 then I would approved it so I did. Weeks later I got an email asking for more money they wanted another payment for $600 saying it needed a sensor that has something to do with the transmission because after replacing the new module the vehicle did not start up there was no type of communications nothing at all and I responded that I was not going to pay $600 more just cause they don't know what their doing because they promise me the car was going to work after they replace the module now that it did not want to crank up they found another issue that's their fault on not doing there job the right way and for telling lies yes their was flashing blue or red icon on my dashboard that look like a car and a lock would go on and off and it displayed a message saying The theft protection is activated. I want to know if I can get this issue approved and to be considered a recall can you please help I'm so frustrating and mad that they want more money when it's already so expensive please help I would of appreciate it thank you.

The fuel hose on the right hand side of the vehicle is leaking onto my engine. You can easily see this leak and smell it when unlocking the car in the morning. It is dangerous and could easily result in a fire.

Due to the type of fuel line and clamps used to fasten them, cold weather has caused them to shrink such that gas leaks, which comes through the car vents into the car cab and now into my [XXX] and [XXX] kids's lungs. Mercedes has issued a 10 year warranty on this specific feature, but it should be a safety recall unless we agree that inhaling gas vapors is okay for your health. During cold weather there is always a gasoline smell when starting the engine that eventually goes away. On 01/20/2025 the smell was so intense that I decided to stop the engine and leave the car outside the garage just in case. Upon opening the hood, I noticed an amount of a type of liquid similar to gasoline right on the undercarriage protector covers. I could not reach with my hands but instead I used a wood stick that I had in the garage. I reached the liquid and submerged the stick for like 10 seconds and pulled it out. When I smelled it, it indeed smelled like gasoline. I took the stick to the back patio and lighted it up and as I suspected, the tip of the stick lighted up like a torch. I called a nearby mechanic and made an appointment to check it out and today (01/23/2025) I am bringing it in. I went to Youtube and found numerous videos showing this "well known issue" with some of the fuel lines in this type of vehicle which I believe is a tremendous hazard. Just imagine that when I turned the engine up on 01/20/25 the engine could had gone up in flames burning not only the vehicle, but my entire house with maybe my family inside? Please take serious note on this issue and try to come up with a mandatory solution for the problem. I will let you guys know the findings from the Mercedes mechanic once the job if completed in case you need more information. Thanks
