The ESL or electronic steering lock is a very common issue with this year and model at around the 70k mile mark. You cannot start the car once this goes out and it’s over $2k to fix

I took the car for annual maintenance to Mercedes-Benz dealership. After routine check up they came back to report rusty rear subframe and told me that needs to be replaced. However this part is really expensive and models from 2008 to 2015 C300 had the same issue(premature rust) and they all received extended warranty from Mercedes-Benz for free replacement. I wanted to report this safety issue for C300 model including mine that is not covered under extended warranty.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION: Hello everyone. Three months ago, I bought a 2012 Mercedes-Benz C250 in Argentina. About a month after I had the car, I hit the road. (Here in Argentina, it's very common for roads to be single-lane, two-way, so overtaking requires very precise maneuvering.) When I tried to accelerate my car fully, the acceleration abruptly cut out. I lost power and the yellow check engine light came on. Luckily, I was able to get through. I arrived home, surprised, and I did some research online. I discovered that my vehicle's high-pressure pump was faulty (apparently, it's happened to a lot of people). I hope these complaints reach the Mercedes-Benz authorities and they take responsibility before this fault causes a fatal accident.

Sunshade on panoramic sunroof broke off and tore sunshade. Took it to MB service center and was told it is known issue for that model and many more with some part snapping off causing the damage and cost to repair is between 2500-3000. Have been reading online and lot of people seem to have same issue with the panoramic sunroof and shade not syncing together. Seems to be concern manufacturer should be looking at if there’s numerous vehicle with same issues. Part snapped off when trying to open up sunroof on hot summer day

I own a 2020 Mercedes-Benz C300, and the check engine light recently came on. The vehicle has only around 27,000 miles and has been regularly maintained at an authorized dealership. Diagnostic testing revealed fault code P06DA00, indicating an electrical failure or open circuit in the engine oil pump control valve. The dealership confirmed that the valve could not actuate and provided a repair estimate exceeding $7,000 due to the labor-intensive nature of the repair. This issue occurred shortly after the factory warranty expired. The sudden loss of power while driving could pose serious safety risks under different traffic conditions. I believe this may be a manufacturing defect that could potentially affect other vehicles of the same model. This issue occurred shortly after the factory warranty expired. The way the vehicle lost power suddenly while driving could have posed serious safety risks in different traffic conditions. Have noticed a lot of air noise coming from the panoramic sunroof of my vehicle when driving, and now have issues of it opening or closing properly. I researched and found a recall regarding the issues my vehicle is having, and brought it into a dealership for diagnosis. Was told my vehicle VIN was not included in the recall. This is a dangerous issue that needs to be remedied. If the sunroof malfunctions I’m afraid it will come loose from the vehicle as it is doing the same things that the recalled VIN vehicles had issue with. Mercedes needs to update and add additional VINs to this recall. I did not repair, as I was told the entire thing will need to be replaced.

I was told this from a BENZ dealer. There was a warranty extension on this VIN: [XXX] that ended on 03/02/2023 which, had to do with adjustment units for the camshafts. Nothing we could assist with goodwill on this due to the age of vehicle. This is NOT fair and I’m experimenting this exact process and Mercedes Benz does not want to take responsibility and get this fixed for me. Now my vehicle can not pass a smog test required.
