SummarySome customers may expierience an engine no start condition where the engine will only start by holding the key transmitter over the Start/Stop button and DTC B13D3:97 (Remote transmitter registration work not completed) is stored. This may be caused by an accidental activation of the keyless pacemaker function.

SummarySome customers may experience that the door locks may not operate using the touch sensor on the outer door handle while parked in a parking space surrounded by concrete walls, but will operate when using the remote transmitter. This concern may be caused by refraction and/or diffraction of the signal used for the advanced keyless entry system by the steel reinforcement bars in the concrete walls. As a result, the signal will resemble a theft attempt (known as a Relay Attack) and the anti-theft function of the advanced keyless entry system will prohibit door lock operation. To eliminate this concern, the LF control unit software has been modified to reduce the improper detection of the theft attempt.

SummarySome customers may find that they cannot lock their vehicle when using the touch sensor (shown below) on the front door handle, however, they can unlock the vehicle. This concern may occur after the vehicle has been recently washed and water has accumulated around the touch sensor, resulting in temporarily lowering the sensitivity of the capacitor sensor. To eliminate this concern, the shape and material of the rubber sheet attached to the touch sensor has been improved.

SummarySome customers may experience ÃÂUltrasonic sensor malfunctionÃÂÃÂ warning message displayed in the instrument cluster when driving or at a stop. The warning message continues until the ignition is turned off. Upon inspection, one or more of following DTC are detected in the parking assist unit (ultrasonic). This is caused by communication error(s) detected between the parking assist unit and the ultrasonic sensors from incoming electromagnetic noise. To eliminate this concern, the control program of the parking assist unit has been modified to not detect unnecessary communication errors and to stop the warning message as soon as the communication has recovered, even without turning the ignition off.

SummarySome customers may notice that the temperature setting of the automatic climate control may not change when the temperature dial is operated very slowly. Due to improper control logic of the automatic climate control unit (IP-ESU), turning operation may not be detected when the dial is operated very slowly. To eliminate this concern, the IP-ESU software has been modified.
