On Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, while my wife and daughter were driving in downtown [XXX] , the front passenger door spontaneously opened at [XXX] while the vehicle was in motion. This occurred despite the door being properly closed and latched. Fortunately, my daughter was wearing her seatbelt and was not injured, but this incident created a terrifying and life-threatening situation. Due to the dealerships being closed, I was forced to secure the door with ties to safely transport my family back to [XXX] . On April 7th, 2026, I dropped the car off at the dealer for repair of the safety recall. Most concerning is that my vehicle was in the care of the Richfield Land Rover dealership in March 19th, 2025 for several days for an engine oil leak repair totaling $6,718. At no point during this multi-day service was I notified of the open safety recall, nor was the remedy performed. When I confronted the service department today (April 7, 2026), I was told their "computer must have been down." The Keyless Vehicle Module security system on my 2023 Range Rover Sport deactivated both of my smart keys simultaneously without any warning or alert. The vehicle locked itself while both keys were inside and completely disabled them both at the same time, leaving my vehicle totally inoperable. I had no way to start or operate my vehicle. There was no warning light, no alert on the dashboard before this happened, and no information provided at purchase that this could ever occur. The only message displayed on the dashboard after the fact was Refer to Handbook Smart Key Deactivated. I am a single father with dependents and this is my only vehicle. I was left completely stranded at my home with no transportation for multiple days. This is a known and documented design defect affecting all Jaguar Land Rover vehicles manufactured from 2022 onwards. The vehicle has been inspected by Land Rover Alexandria dealer located at [XXX] . The dealer confirmed the issue and quoted me $3,000 to replace the Keyless Vehicle Module hardware. After I filed a BBB complaint and contacted Land Rover corporate the price was reduced to $640. My vehicle is a 2023 model and is still under full factory warranty. Land Rover corporate has an open case on this matter under case number XXX No other vehicle manufacturer allows their own security system to completely strand the owner with no warning and no safeguard. This is a serious safety defect because it can strand drivers in dangerous locations at any time without notice INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

TO: USAA Claims Department; Jaguar Land Rover North America Customer Care CC: Jaguar Land Rover Parsippany; Jaguar Land Rover Glen Cove; Jaguar Land Rover Freeport I am writing to formally report a serious safety hazard involving my 2015 Range Rover Sport and to request immediate intervention. Vehicle Information: Year/Make/Model: 2015 Range Rover Sport VIN: [XXX] Current Mileage: Approximately 127,000+ I purchased this vehicle in 2015 from Jaguar Land Rover Parsippany, New Jersey, and have consistently maintained it through authorized Jaguar Land Rover service providers. Since as early as 2017, I have reported recurring engine, throttle, and coolant-related issues. As documented in my prior complaint to Land Rover corporate dated April 2017, I raised concerns regarding service integrity and handling of my vehicle (Exhibit A). In September 2017, I reported that the vehicle would not accelerate properly, required restarting to function, and exhibited drive mode and throttle issues (Exhibit B). By 2021, Jaguar Land Rover Glen Cove service records confirmed coolant leakage from engine cross-over pipes, repeated low coolant warnings, and engine-related concerns requiring repair (Exhibit C). Additional diagnostics identified check engine light activation, restricted performance mode, and recommended repairs that were not resolved (Exhibit D). Despite these documented findings, the vehicle was repeatedly returned to me without full resolution of the underlying mechanical defects. On January 22, 2025, Jaguar Land Rover Freeport documented that repairs could not be performed due to “pre-existing engine codes” and identified the need for a potential engine replacement exceeding $42,000 (Exhibit E). At no point was I clearly advised that the vehicle was unsafe to operate or that continued use could pose a serious safety risk. I was not instructed to discontinue driving the vehicle. Filing a complaint about lack of remedy for NHTSA Recall Number 25V-514, manufacture recall number D019. I planned to put this car on Turo to rent, and I cannot list it if it has an active recall. It’s a financial strain for me, and I would greatly appreciate a fix.

Rear seat in 2025 Range Rover Sport closed on my arm while returning to upright position, trapping me with no accessible manual release. Required assistance to be freed. Resulted in numbness and ongoing nerve/tendon pain. While parked in my driveway, I activated the electronic control to raise the left rear passenger seat from a folded position. As I reached in to remove an object (umbrella) to prevent obstruction, the seat closed on my right forearm and elbow, trapping my arm. I was unable to free myself. The seat would not move, and there was no accessible manual or emergency release within reach. The only release control was located near the rear liftgate, which I could not access while trapped. I called for help but could not be heard due to nearby landscaping equipment. A worker attempted to manually free the seat but was unsuccessful. I was ultimately freed when my husband activated the electronic release from the rear cargo area. Following the incident, my arm and fingers were numb. I continue to experience ongoing tendon and nerve pain in my forearm and elbow. Rear seat lacks an accessible emergency/manual release within reach of passenger area. Seat did not stop or reverse when encountering resistance, creating a risk of entrapment and serious injury.

2023 Range Rover Sport (VIN: [XXX] ). Vehicle's own anti-theft security system simultaneously deactivated both smart keys after they were left inside the locked vehicle. This is a known design defect across all JLR vehicles from 2022 onwards. Vehicle is now completely inoperable. Dealer is quoting $3,000 for a new Keyless Vehicle Module (KVM) and two new keys. Owner was never warned at purchase that this could occur. This leaves owners completely stranded with no fix available without paying thousands of dollars. This is a safety issue as it can strand drivers in unsafe locations. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

- #11725665March 19, 2026ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
The contact owns a 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The contact stated that within a week of purchasing the vehicle new, there was an abnormally strong odor coming from the vehicle. The dealer picked up the vehicle and performed an engine cleaning; however, the failure recurred within days. The contact stated that the low coolant warning light was frequently illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that no issue was found. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where coolant was added to the vehicle, and the contact had frequently added coolant to the vehicle as needed. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where several coolant leaks were found. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to Land Rover Charlotte (6710 E Independence Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28212), where it was diagnosed that the inner coolant had leaked into the engine, and there were metal shavings found in the oil. The dealer determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The contact stated that the vehicle was diagnosed after the warranty had expired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V044000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and previously offered several vouchers for the repairs. The failure mileage was unknown.

I am filing a complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall affecting my 2016 Range Rover Sport TDV6, VIN: [XXX] . This vehicle is subject to Recall D019 (NHTSA Recall 25V-514). Despite the recall being issued, I have contacted the dealership multiple times and have repeatedly been told that the remedy or required parts are not yet available. There has been no clear timeline provided for when the repair will be available. Both the front and rear components associated with this recall on my vehicle appear visibly defective and concerning. This creates a significant safety concern for me as the operator of the vehicle. I rely on this vehicle daily and should not be forced to continue driving a vehicle with known defective safety-related components while waiting indefinitely for the manufacturer to supply parts. A safety recall should include a prompt and effective remedy. The ongoing delay in making repair parts available places vehicle owners and the public at risk and undermines the purpose of issuing a safety recall. I respectfully request that this matter be investigated and that the manufacturer be required to provide a timely repair remedy. Owners should not be left operating vehicles with known safety defects due to delays in recall implementation. - #11722486March 6, 2026FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE
The contact owns a 2013 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The contact stated that after refueling the vehicle, the fuel level became low very quickly. The check engine warning light and the hazard light was illuminated. The vehicle stalled on the highway due to the low fuel level. The contact attempted to accelerate; however, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact called for an Uber and purchased a gas can and refueled the vehicle. The vehicle was refueled and restarted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for a diagnostic test, and it was determined that there was a crack in the fuel tank. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 186,000.

I purchased a 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Sport (VIN: [XXX] ) from AutoNation USA Wesley Chapel on May 17, 2025. Shortly after purchase, the driver-side door latch recall issue manifested when the door unexpectedly opened while the vehicle was traveling at highway speed. The incident was documented at the time it occurred. The vehicle was later serviced by AutoNation on August 26, 2025, where they stated the latch had been addressed. However, the NHTSA recall database still shows Manufacturer Recall N975 as incomplete for this VIN. This raises concern that the recall repair may not have been properly performed or reported, or that the vehicle was sold with an open safety recall that should have been identified and remedied prior to sale. Given that the driver-side door latch failure occurred while the vehicle was in motion shortly after purchasing the vehicle from AutoNation USA Wesley Chapel, which represented that a comprehensive multi-point inspection had been completed prior to sale, I am submitting this report as a safety concern regarding recall compliance, inspection practices, and repair documentation associated with this vehicle.
