I received Land Rover's notice Oct. 7, 2021 regarding the gasoline fuel tank flange assembly cracking. They stated "Once we have adequate supply of the necessary parts, we will notify you via a second letter requesting that you contact your preferred authorized Land Rover retailer....etc.. under Program Code 'N623' " I have still been waiting for this to be resolved. I emailed them again on 12/9/2025 after I got the alert from NHTSA and have not heard back.

Over the last few months my warning light for engine coolant appears and says add coolant now. I will add coolant at preferred vendor. Two weeks later my coolant light will appear again saying add coolant now. When I looked myself after that 4th occasion I saw that the coolant tank was in fact empty and my car was not experiencing a sensory or electrical issue. As far as electrical my car volume will turn up and down on its on at sporadic times. I have had a professional take a look and not one service technician mentioned that I may have a possible leak or electrical problem . They just fill my fluids. However, I am certain there is a leak since my tank is empty almost every 10-14 days and my warning light is coming on to verify. I will be going back to land rover for them to do a more thorough inspection.

The Diesel Exhaust Fluid system on my 2016 Range Rover Sport has a recurring defect that triggers the warning “Incorrect Diesel Exhaust Fluid Quality Detected” followed by a “No engine starts in XX miles” countdown. This defect has happened repeatedly over several years despite multiple repairs including injector replacement, injector housing replacement and eventually a complete DEF tank assembly replacement. The failure always returns. This defect disables the vehicle and creates a safety risk because the car will eventually refuse to start, which can leave the driver stranded without warning. The problem appeared again this month, and the vehicle displayed the countdown message even though only OEM DEF fluid was used. Land Rover’s own internal service bulletins describe this issue, but dealerships have been unable to permanently repair it. I was instructed by Land Rover corporate to bring the vehicle in for a goodwill review, but instead I was told I would need to pay for diagnostics, and corporate later stated they would not cover repairs at all. A respected independent garage reviewed my service records and told me the dealership should have performed a BlueDEF regeneration procedure. They also told me this is a known and continuous problem on these vehicles and that it will never go away without a redesigned system. This is a long-standing emissions-related defect that repeatedly renders the vehicle non-operational and forces owners into unsafe situations. There is no permanent fix available through the manufacturer or dealers. I am submitting this complaint because this defect is widespread on Land Rover diesel models and carries clear safety and reliability consequences.

Passenger side seatbelt was locked so tight during accident it cut off breathing to passenger. After several attempts, I was able to finally release the seatbelt. After the accident and passenger was out of seat, I tried to relatch the seatbelt. I tried moving the seat back to give more room to latch the seatbelt in the loose position however it still 3 to 4 inches away from latching.

- #11700579November 20, 2025UNKNOWN OR OTHER
A potential concern has been identified on specific vehicles within the above vehicle range. A concern has been identified on Ingenium I4 2.0L Petrol Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) engines where the coolant pump drive belt can become damaged leading to detachment or destruction. Where coolant pump drive is lost, this leads to a loss of coolant flow in the engine. The lack of coolant flow can cause the engine to rapidly overheat, and subsequently ruptures an engine mounted plastic elbow in the cooling circuit. If the coolant elbow is ruptured this leads to a coolant leak onto the turbocharger heatshield which may lead to a fire in the engine compartment which can propagate to the whole vehicle. Please see attachment: Dear Mr. [XXX] , Mr. [XXX] , and Federal & State Officials, This email serves as formal legal notice, final demand, and a request for immediate investigation into Jaguar Land Rover North America’s ongoing failure to perform a federally mandated safety recall (NHTSA Recall No. 25V-514, Manufacturer D019) affecting my 2016 Range Rover Sport (VIN ????????????). My authorized Connecticut dealer confirmed that the required parts for the recall are available; however, repairs cannot be scheduled or processed because of Jaguar Land Rover’s corporate system outage following the September 2025 cyber-incident. Jaguar Land Rover publicly acknowledged that it “proactively shut down systems” and that “parts logistics and digital operations were disrupted.” This means the recall failure is not due to part shortages or dealer error it stems directly from the manufacturer’s own IT breach. Because of this failure, my family including my three children continues to use a vehicle known to have a critical suspension defect capable of causing sudden loss of control. Allowing such vehicles to remain unrepaired for months due to internal corporate negligence represents reckless endangerment, breach of warranty, and violation of federal safety law. I am therefore requesting: 1. Immediate federal and state investigation into Jaguar Land Rover North America’s handling of Recall #25V-514 and the extent to which the September 2025 cyberincident has compromised safety-repair operations; 2. Immediate interim remedy, such as a courtesy or replacement vehicle of equal or greater value until the recall is completed; and 3. Written confirmation from Jaguar Land Rover within five (5) business days (by November 6, 2025) detailing the company’s plan to restore system functionality and perform all outstanding safety recalls. Please be advised that failure to act will result in escalation to: NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) for a formal enforcement review; U.S. DOT Office of Inspector General (OIG) for oversight o

Constant loss of coolant, overheating. Coored. Crossover pipes replaces. Pressure tests to coolant system come back as normal, but vehicle requires frequent topping up and dashboard warning lights. Car overheated on highway requiring immediate stopping and tow. After removing starter, pooling found while under pressure on shield under turbo manifold. Exact location of leak is tbd. These repairs should be covered by a recall for how frequently they occur. The MHEV turbo is generating too much heat for all of the plastic parts.

- #11697650November 5, 2025LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, AIR BAGS
The vehicle has multiple safety and operational defects that remain unresolved after four service visits on April 10, May 28, June 19, and August 2, 2024, totaling more than 30 days out of service. Lane Keep Assist malfunctions unpredictably at highway speeds—at times making abrupt steering inputs without warning or failing to intervene during lane departure—creating a safety hazard. The vehicle has excessive wind noise, suggesting door or glass seal issues. The infotainment system intermittently crashes, freezing or disabling functions including the backup camera and Bluetooth phone audio. Dealer diagnostic scans showed 15 ECU modules not communicating and multiple diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) across systems, indicating systemic electronic faults. Despite software updates and repair attempts, the problems persist and continue to impair the vehicle’s safety, reliability, and normal operation.

Unacceptable response by Land Rover to remedy a serious safety recall identified and communicated in late July/early August 2025 in a timely manner! Multiple and contradictory explanations and excuses for the lack of solution and mitigation by both the local dealership as well as the national Land Rover North America corporate representatives. Additional confusion and lack of response is related to similar but separate suspension knuckle recall identifiers: D019 vs N759. Further, the company is not offering any other consideration in the face of the delay other than don't drive or "drive at your own risk"!

The engine coolant pipe cross over on top of the engine and the the one in the rear are made of plastic and is a known failure point. One simple search and it is known that its a super common problem that should be recalled and fixed. This is an engineering oversight and cost the car owner over $3000 in repairs if they are lucky to catch it before it destroys the engine.
