- #11737947May 14, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
When a car in front of me is slowing down while the adaptive crusie control is on and I have the distance set to 3 or 4 lengths, the farthest one available, and the adaptive cruise control is set, the car will start slwoing down like the cars ahead of me and if I switch lanes to go around of the car that is slowing down and there is another car in front of me of the lane I move into that adaptive crusie control acts as if there is no car in front of me in the lane and will begin to accelerate until I engage the brake. So for example I'm traveling in the far right lane of a four lane road, two going north and two going south. I have my adaptive crusie control on and set to 50 MPH and the distance set to 4 car lengths (max) and then the car in front of me starts to slw down. The adaptive crusie control will adjust and start to slow down as well. So I decide to get into the next lane over to my left, where there also happens to be another car 1 or 2 car lengths in front of me, the adaptive crusie control will not detect that car after lane change and will begin to accelerate back up to 50 MPH when it should still be slowing down to avoid a collision. This has happened multiple times.

There is an issue with my infotainment screen that has been occurring for the past 3 years. There seems to be something wrong with the software. My screen goes completely black a few times a day while driving and then comes back on or it freezes. Automatic updates when the truck does a software update, it never corrects this issue. The Cherokee L was not included on the recall list but there is definitely a problem.

- #11737619May 13, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
The Uconnect infotainment system is glitchy, blacks out, and has restarted itself. The dealership I purchased it from has currently had now for a 3rd time and over 30 days. The 2nd visit the screen was replaced and the same issues still exist. This is a huge safety concern, because the system has malfunctioned while in reverse which obstructs the rearview camera view. I can’t trust that rear sensors aren’t tied into this and will apply the brakes if I get too close to something or someone/something suddenly goes behind me in reverse. The blind spot monitoring system has gone out a few times and this limits the lane keep assist functions. The dealership has said they can’t replicate the issue and the first time this happened no codes came up despite there being a stored message on digital cluster display. They have replaced a sensor module this time, but as they still have the vehicle I don’t know if this has fixed the problem or not. This is obviously a huge safety issue as it could case a wreck if someone is in a blind spot and I can’t see them and the vehicle can’t help alert me to this. It also seemed to slightly impact the handling of the vehicle as well causing me to consistently need to make micro adjustments of the steering while driving. Among those issues I have been having other commonly known issues with vehicle such as the “key fob has left vehicle” message despite the key fob still being inside the vehicle. It does not matter which key fob is used and the battery to the fob is good. The dealership can’t four that out either and have checked to make sure the serial numbers on the fobs match the VIN. The fan speed pop-up when shutting off the vehicle displaying 127 front/0 rear can’t be figured out either and dealership verified it has the most updated software versions currently available. A lot of these issues have been there since I purchased it 12/2025 or showed up within 1-2 months of owning it. Finally took it to the dealership in March.

I purchased a brand new 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit in April 2026. At approximately 1,205 miles, while traveling with my wife and [XXX] child in [XXX] , the vehicle suddenly developed a flashing check engine light and severe engine misfire condition. The engine began shaking violently, idling rough, and lost smooth drivability during operation. I scanned the vehicle using an OBD-II scanner and the PCM stored diagnostic trouble code P0302, indicating a cylinder #2 misfire. Due to concern for vehicle safety and possible engine damage, the vehicle was towed to Vaden Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM for diagnosis. The dealership later advised me that the spark plug in cylinder #2 had cracked porcelain and that the vehicle requires spark plug replacement. The dealership also stated they were awaiting authorization/approval from Stellantis before proceeding with repairs. This failure occurred extremely early in the vehicle’s life and caused my family to become stranded during travel. A flashing check engine light indicates an active misfire severe enough to potentially damage emissions components and raises concerns about engine reliability and safety. I am concerned there may be a manufacturing defect, ignition system defect, spark plug defect, improper assembly issue, or another underlying engine-related problem. I am submitting this complaint so the issue is documented in case other owners experience similar early engine failures or ignition-related problems on this vehicle platform. I brought my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L to the dealership for its scheduled ~40,000 mile service. During that visit, I specifically reported that something felt off with the transmission/drivetrain. The dealership inspected the vehicle and stated that no issues were found. Approximately one week later, the vehicle experienced a sudden and severe drivetrain failure. While driving approximately 45 mph on a surface street and accelerating to cruising speed, the vehicle began shaking violently. There were loud mechanical noises from underneath the vehicle consistent with components coming apart. At the same time, the vehicle lost all ability to accelerate. Pressing the accelerator produced no forward movement. Due to the loss of power, I was forced to coast out of active traffic and onto a side street where I was able to safely stop. The condition was sustained and the vehicle was not drivable after the incident. When attempting to assist the tow truck driver, I shifted the vehicle to drive and pressed the accelerator. The engine revved but the vehicle did not move. When shifting back to park, the vehicle displayed an error message: “Cannot shift to Park, vehicle moving too quickly,” despite being stationary. This failure created a safety hazard due to loss of acceleration and unpredictable vehicle behavior. This is particularly concerning because a drivetrain issue was reported during a service visit shortly before the failure and was not identified. There were no warning lights or messages prior to the failure. The issue occurred suddenly and without advance indication. The vehicle had recently been serviced and cleared by the dealership despite a reported drivetrain concern. A failure of this nature at speed could significantly increase the risk of a crash, depending on traffic conditions.

- #11735441May 4, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, UNKNOWN OR OTHER, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
In May 2025 the vehicle randomly, and without warning, the instruments, gauges, and displays switched to Italian, changed to Metric, and we got the update and FCW Off light stuck on. Numerous other settings had been reset. Took to dealer and had to pay for the fix - they noted a STAR bulletin on my invoice. Then this past weekend (May 2, 2026) it happened again. At least this time it didn't go Italian and Metric on me, but lots of other settings were changed. Did not test the paddle shifters but will do that soon. Current software version says FCA-MY24.U29.42-PROD. I've seen other posts with a newer version - not sure if / why not on my Jeep yet.

- #11734403April 28, 2026UNKNOWN OR OTHER, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
There is a continual problem with this car. Randomly, about every 1-2 weeks, my entire infotainment center, customer settings, and seat preferences will reset to Italian and the metric system. When this happens, the front collision warning system turns off. The radio screen also begins to flash on and off, where I cannot use the backup camera and audio cuts out. I have had it to my local Jeep dealership about 6 times now, and they are able to reset the system but the problem comes back. I had it there earlier in the week and the technician told me that there is no permanent fix, and that I will be coming back routinely because I am not the only one with this issue.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? -Forward collision system light on dash is illuminated, automatic locks do not engage after vehicle is in motion, paddle shifters do not work. All displays switched to Italian & from standard measurements to metric How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? -Forward collision sensors appear to not work as well as doors do not automatically lock as they should. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? -Yes, my dealership is aware of this issue and referenced service bulletin S2108000249, this did "fix" these issues temporarily, however a week later this issues happened again. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? - No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? -No

- #11732558April 20, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, SUSPENSION
Randomly, and without warning, the instruments, gauges, and displays will switch into a language I do not speak or understand (Italian). Coinciding with the switch to Italian language, cluster and radio display settings revert back to default settings, auto door locks and paddle shifter becomes inoperative (with no menu to enable), pedestrian emergency brake (peb) lamp or forward collision warning (fcw) lamp turns on with no way to disable, units of measurement including speed, temperature, etc. all change, and many other random settings change as well. ***This is clearly a dangerous situation because of all the functions and gauges that change, and the fact it is difficult if not impossible to recover from this due to the language of the setting menus, and the complexity of discovering and navigating through all these changes. I have taken it to the dealer twice, and they say there is nothing they can do and to wait for a possible software update, but none has come and it has been over a year. When this happens, even if one is able to wade through all the settings menus and change setting back, some items cannot be reset (like the FCA off lamp). According to various Jeep owner forums, some dealers have been able to reset something and temporarily correct the issue, but they charge for this service, and the issue returns randomly again. Here is an example forum discussion, indicating many if not all vehicles are affected: [XXX] Many people on the forum believe this issue did not start until a software update a year or so ago. This is a well known and widespread problem, and there is even a DOT Bulletin on the issue: dot.report Bulletins Because this is dangerous (for settings/gauges/units to no longer be useful while driving), and it occurs randomly, I strongly believe this issue should be a manufacturer recall. I am available for any needs. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

- #11732557April 20, 2026SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
There have been many components and issues that were and were attempted to be repaired. The vehicle is available for any inspection needed. I am afraid to drive the vehicle. My safety, my family’s safety and everyone around us front behind it doesn’t matter everyone is at risk. The vehicle for no reason at all just stopped. A very intense and.violent stop then the automatic braking and pedestrian warnings alerts came off. The vehicle did NOT come to a slow stop it felt like we hit into a brick wall. The dealership is never able to recreate or fix anything. Doubt they even try. They don’t put much effort into trying to recreate the issue.

While stopped at a red light, the auto start/stop feature of the vehicle failed to re-start the car causing complete failure. My wife was the first vehicle at a the light in a busy intersection with a [XXX] old in the vehicle. The electronics of the vehicle completely failed causing complete shutdown and unable to restart. Vehicle was towed after blocking intersection for 30 minutes. This has happened before but not for total and complete failure. This failure caused a complete battery drain leading to the need for two new batteries. The vehicle has a history of electronics/software issues and failures and associated start/stop system issues. This failure was diagnosed to be caused by a faulty relay and costed me $2000 in repairs. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My front windshield has been replaced 2 times now due to significant cracks starting at the bottom seal of the windshield. These cracks were NOT due to rock chip, they started in the exact same spot both times creating the exact horseshoe type crack from the bottom and went stair to the top of the windshield. These cracks have continued to develop around the entire seal of the windshield including the bottom , sides and top of the glass. These cracks sever cracking is an extreme safety hazard, leaving very poor visibility. I have also witnessed 2 other jeeps in my small town with identical horseshoe cracking that started in the identical place mine did, both were the same year, make and model jeep. The windshields are horrendously expensive and I can’t afford to replace it again, this leaves me with extremely poor visibility making this very unsafe. Come on jeep recall the windshields, this is unfair and unsafe and this is making you responsible for potential accidents. I see a lot of lawsuits coming your way for negligence in taking responsibility for the rightful recall that needs to happen.
