Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Jeep Wrangler, Wrangler 4XE, and Jeep Gladiator vehicles. The electric hydraulic power steering pump wiring may overheat and cause a vehicle fire, even when the vehicle is parked with the ignition in the "Off" position.

The interior driver's side door latch lever is experiencing extreme delamination. The "liquid chrome" silver coating has cracked and peeled away from the plastic lever. This has created a razor-sharp edge that poses an immediate safety hazard, acting like an open razor blade when trying to unlock and exit the vehicle. My wife cannot open her door without actively risking laceration to her fingers a second time. I have attached pictures. This vehicle currently has only 34,862 miles on the odometer—well under the 36,000-mile factory threshold. While I understand the 3-year calendar threshold technically lapsed on September 15, we are only 3 weeks past that date. This is an obvious material failure and a well-documented factory defect across the Gladiator/Wrangler platform, not normal wear and tear. Since the vehicle is safely under the mileage limit, missed the calendar date window by only three weeks, and the defect presents an active risk of injury, I request a Goodwill Warranty Exception to cover 100% of the replacement parts and labor at our local dealership in Mt. Orab Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram 110 Gabbard Way, Mt. Orab Ohio, OH 45154 Please review this case immediately, log it as an active cabin safety concern, and provide a corporate case number and a resolution to ensure this vehicle is safe for my wife to drive. Just to mention a few other things, you can pull the report for the VIN number for this vehicle. When we first got it, it had a fuel tank issue; next, it required replacing all the clutch plates. Now, the concern is that my wife was physically hurt. This is a well-documented manufacturing failure across the 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler (JL) and Gladiator (JT) platform. The components regularly delaminate under normal use conditions. Despite this being a known widespread defect, no active safety recall has been issued by the manufacturer to correct the physical hazard.

I believe it is the blend door actuator, the heat when on defrost automatically switched between hot to ice cold which fogs up windows and causes other issues. Brought the vehicle in for for the current recall along with service on this, and this was not looked at. When the temp changes the A/C is turned off and temp is turned up to clear the window. It starts blowing ice cold air that fogs up the window almost instantly

The vehicle does not have linerar acceperation. At times from a start, cold or warn engine, the vehicle will abruptly accelerate harder than the gas pedal was pressed. at light throttle, the vehicle will surge, shutter or chug. Erattic acceperation. after the engine replacement for a connecting rod bearing failure, the engine was running rough, poor mileage and stalled on a wet and cold morning (32degrees, raining). The stall happened on the deaccel lane of the interstate 25 (65 mph). THe dealership replaced one injector and said the problem was fixed. But it is not. Vehicle has not stalled, but we have not had the cold/wet weather.

Parking brake would not hold vehicle on hill. When the handle was released, a metalic clinking noise was heard. Castle rock jeep dealership said all was fine. Upon my inspection, I found the parking brake cable connection under teh center console was no longer connected. The cable was reconnected, and the cable was tightened to specifications indicated my Jeep. THe vehicle had 6200 miles on it. p.s. THis was after the warranty replacement of the engine. THe dealership indicated they tested several other jeeps and they all acted as mine. No concern for safety.
