Car stops when turning a corner. When turning it back on, it moves slow and it might have power to move but then it goes slow. The battery will drain quickly and the it stops all together. It's like the engine just goes out.

The car has shut off twice while (once on the highway) and once on a side street. Lost power and locked up. Prior to the shut offs power flickered. No problem identified with Infiniti but appears so be a known issue amongst the infiniti community. Are these cars safe??????

POWER TRAIN
I was driving the Infiniti QX60 and it started smoking and shuddering several times. I had to pull it over and have it towed. I've already had to replace the entire transmission and the transfer 4x4 case and both were brand new. This is nerve wracking and unfair. Something needs to be done. It's being diagnosed but this seems to be constant with this 2014 Infiniti QX60 model. This car needs to be completed pulled and replaced for every dryer for everyone who has one.

While driving at a speed of 70mph, on a highway at 4:15 PM temperature approx 55 F an extemely loud sound from my roof happened. I was not under any trees or near any 18 wheelers. No debris seen around my car when it happened. I pulled over when safe and looked at my roof. The sunroof had exploded! nothing else wrong with the car! This could hav caused a terrible accident had I not over-reacted. There was no warning for this explosion. I called the dealership and was told to bring it to a collision center for repair. Now waiting on the parts.

The contact owns a 2014 Nissan QX60. The contact stated that while the accelerator pedal was depressed, the engine revved and the RPM’S increased rapidly but the vehicle failed to respond properly. The contact also stated that she noticed a burning odor throughout the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the transmission assembly body was replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 112,000.

QX60 equipped with Panoramic Sunroof. While driving on highway the sunroof exploded. Not behind any other vehicle, and no windshield or window damage. At approximately 9:45 am on 1/27/23 moved to right lane in anticipation that several cars about 100 ft were approaching and would be passing me. Heard a loud explosive sound (as described by my husband/passenger) almost sounded like a gun shot at that time. I feared that if we pulled over at next clearing car may not start and we would be stuck with no assistance. Drove approximately 1 mile and parked at gas station parking lot. Upon examination saw huge hole with glass missing on front panel of sunroof. No warning lamps came on, no messages through care communication system. The explosive sound caused me to fear for my safety since no warning lights alerted me to what the incident was, as glass flew off the car it could have hit coming traffic and caused them harm, Should glass have entered cabin my vision would have been impaired. The only barrier to glass entering was the thin roof headliner. Dealer would not inspect and communicated that the repair or replacement was not covered under their warranty. Contacted insurance, waiting for appraiser and inspection by them.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
On Jan 11, 2023 my infiniti qx60 hybrid AWD that I purchased with Premium and Technology packages that includes forward Collison warning (FCW) and intelligent braking system (IBS) failed to work. I got no warning and/or my emergency brake was applied by these systems that I paid high dollars for. I had to apply the hard braking myself to try stop my car from collision but it was too late and ended up rear ending someone in multi car chain accident. I am extremely concern that the Infiniti QX60 FCW and IBS are just sales gimmick and does not work all or not at the right time when you need them. The weather was cloudy but no rain or anything that could have blocked the car sonar and radar. However none of these systems worked. Prior to the accident I have noticed that occasionally I get IBA switched off obstruction warning with nothing in front of the car. The same issues have been noticed on the infiniti's sister brand Nissan's Pathfinder, Rogue and others. Thankfully no one got hurt in my wreck. But I lost my car. I bought all these expensive systems to protect me and my family for these situations. However infiniti systems failed to work on mine. Not sure what options I have to pursue as there are others who have the same issues that I noticed. Hope no one lose their lives before Infiniti and/or nissan can fix this problem. I would also like to know what my options are against a car manufacturer that sold systems that does not work, while the average public buy these expensive systems hoping to be protected from the unforscene accidents that can happen to no fault of their own. Multiple occasions more than I can count loss of power at acceleration then it kangaroos and takes off. No codes multiple trips to the dealer still no codes. The dealer has another vehicle doing the same thing. Seems to be much worse the hotter the weather. It has scared me several times because there has been solution Found because no engine codes.

The contact owns a 2016 Infiniti QX60. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked outside, she noticed there was water leaking through the sunroof onto the floor of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the sunroof drain tubes needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the failure was an environmental issue. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Infiniti QX60. The contact stated that while driving above 60 MPH, the driver's side mirror would vibrate, impairing visibility of surrounding vehicles. Additionally, the contact stated that the failure also occurred while driving on rough or bumpy road surfaces. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer however, the failure could not be duplicated. The contact notified a second dealer, Ramsey Infinity (535 NJ-17 S, Ramsey, NJ 07446), who advised that it was a known failure; however, they could not assist. The vehicle was then taken to a third dealer, Edison Infiniti (842 US-1, Edison, NJ 08817), where the mirror and the mirror housing where replaced; however, the failure persisted. The third dealer informed the contact that he needed to wait until the manufacturer had developed a remedy for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed awareness of the failure. The contact was informed that he would be notified whenever a remedy was made available. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.

SEAT BELTS
I purchased a 2023 Infiniti QX60 3 months ago. This morning, one of the seatbelts pulled completely out when buckling up. The belt was frayed at the end as if it had been cut over a period of time. Had we been in an accident over the last month, that belt would not have protected the passenger in that seat. I'm concerned that if this happened on my brand new car, it could be an issue on other Infiniti vehicles.

The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that he would receive a call back. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 145,000.

COMPONENTS :LATCHES/LOCK Vehicle: 2017 Infiniti Qx60 Date of incident: 6/16/2022/ Mileage 80,000 Safety concern: in the event of a crash or fire, a jammed door could delay response time and cause severe injury or death. I was placing my grandchild in the rear passenger seating area when I closed the door, drove to the local market and was unable to open the door from the inside of the cabin or from the outside. I tried several times to use the unlock button and the door still did not open. No dashboard warnings came on before or after the failure. I took the vehicle to the dealership, they were also UNABLE to open the door after several attempts and was told by the mechanic that the door actuator was defective and to fix the problem would cause SEVERE damage to in the inside of the door. I then contacted the manufacturer and was told they have not heard of this issue and no active recalls are listed for my concern.

Upon arrival home, my wife and son had their doors open (driver's and passenger's front doors) and were in the process of getting out the vehicle. Shortly after, the vehicle began to roll backwards down the driveway, scraping the passenger front door along my truck. My son had to run backwards to get out from between the two vehicles. He could have been knocked by the door and run over. My wife attempted to press the brakes but the vehicle was off so the brakes did not work. It rolled back into the street and stopped on the curb on the other side. Thankfully no cars were passing by and hit the car as it rolled backward. After realizing that she and my son weren't hurt, she turned the vehicle on and drove it partially into the driveway to get it out of the street. The passenger front door was bent forward and was not able to be closed on it's own. It took some force to get it to the point where we could pull it into the garage. The vehicle was towed to a body shop and repaired under insurance. To my knowledge, the physical damage was repaired but no investigation into why the vehicle suddenly rolled backward was conducted while it was in the shop. We have not had a chance to take it in since we got it back from the body shop. No warning lights or symptoms of any kind had previously presented themselves. Pictures and the repair bill are available to share along with a video from our doorbell camera.

The vehicle does start after being parked overnight. This has happened on over 15+ occasions and counting. Once jump started, warning lights appear on the dash display. Already brought it in for service 2x, battery changed 1x and the battery change solution is not working. The problem is still repeating. Vehicle is being driven sufficiently daily to charge the battery, therefore this should not be happening on a new vehicle. I noticed there has been another complaint.

The contact restarted the vehicle several times before the vehicle operated as needed. The contact stated that while continuing to drive the vehicle almost stalled twice more. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who diagnosed that the CVT transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and filed a case. The manufacturer confirmed that the VIN was not included in a recall. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
