My 2023 Infiniti QX60 Autograph model caught fire in the engine in my driveway while parked on Thursday, [XXX] at approximately [XXX] EST. Fire department was dispatched and fire marshal completed a report. There were no warnings or indications prior to the fire. I was driving to work and then the vehicle stopped working once I reached a red light. It would not start and had a burning smell with smoke coming out. I had to call the police which they deemed undrivable and not safe. The car said battery but upon inspection it was a starter and possible belt problem. I've only had this car for less than three months and did an initial inspection where everything was deemed good. Now the car has not shown any problems and had an oil change for basic militance. I had no indications what so ever. It is currently being inspected by the dealer but I have heard back. I do know however, The towing company had tried to turn it back on and it was unsuccessful in both attempts. They had to forcefully tow the car which left tire marks.

On two occasions driving new 2023 QX60, the engine stalled while driving. Vehicle lost all acceleration capability. The system message: stop car, engine stall. Press break and start button. What we noticed is that both times, the engine stalled after the car had been sitting running idle for a period of time.

The liftgate latch failed recently. It would not secure, thus causing a safety issue. Anyone or anything could have fallen out of the vehicle. The latch assembly cost $500, and another $197 for installation. T2 automotive in Palatine made the repairs on 1/22/2024. The same repair was made under warranty at Motorwerks Infiniti back in 2017. The liftgate door open indicator did go on. No alarm came on prior to the failure. I believe this to be a faulty design of the liftgate latch.

On January 23, 2024, while driving home I heard what sounded like a gun shot. I checked that I was ok and exited the freeway. I pulled over and got out of my vehicle and noticed the sunroof/moonroof was shattered. I looked for overpasses and there were none in my area. I called the authorities. Once the officer arrived he noticed that the glass was bubbled out from the vehicle and not inward as it would be if someone or something struck the glass. The sunroof/moonroof shattered. I had to exit the freeway due to being startled by the loud sound of the glass shattering. Unknown on the glass breaking being reproduced. The sunroof/moonroof was inspected by a police officer. No warning or safety lights came on.

My vehicle shut down while driving, my safety, the safety of others was very much at risk as the vehicle shut down with no warnings while driving at a very busy time and roads, cars where honking at me, I have not taken the vehicle to the dealer ship as they were just going to run a diagnosis and charge almost $300 dollars for that however I took my vehicle to Auto Zone they checked it briefly for me and found no error codes but this shut down has now happened twice while driving is very scary. The warning lamp that pop while vehicle shut down was FEB warning light along with the battery light.

The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti QX60 Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine and HEV warning lights illuminated. The contact stated the vehicle was shaking abnormally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a leaking seal. The contact was informed that the seal needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated a month later the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed with misfires in the cylinder and that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a monetary discount towards the cost of the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 39,000.

I was Driving my 2023 QX60 today down a 55 mile road. No one was in front of me and two cars were very far behind me. I was not by an overpass or a golf course and it was a clear sunny day today. I heard loud pop and then the tinkling of glass going down the backside of my car. I opened the sunroof to see what had happened and immediately closed it as the glass started falling into the car from the broken sunroof. I pulled over, and looked at the sunroof. There were no rocks, golf balls, or anything else that would’ve explained why the sunroof exploded. When I called Infiniti to see why my brand new car sunroof exploded, I was told that that the sunroof explosion happens quite a bit to these cars and it is related to “thermal stress”. This is concerning to say the least and would seem to suggest a manufacturing defect on Infiniti’s part. The car is always in the garage and it was 44° outside today. I have had at least six different cars with a sunroof and this is never happened to anyone one of them before. When researching this online, I noticed that there are several cars with the same problem. Search [XXX] and a large forum of people are describing their exact same scenarios with their QX 60’s. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, AIR BAGS
I was involved in a multi-car accident on 11/16/23 wile traveling on the 485 Beltway around Charlotte, NC. It was approximately 6 pm, and completely dark. The traffic was very heavy and traveling at 70 mph ( the speed limit) when a car in front of me was stopped. My 2020 Infinity QX60 did NOT alert me of a potential frontal collision, nor did the car begin braking. I slammed on the brakes, but was unable to keep from hitting the car in front of me. I was then hit in my rear by the car in back of me. NONE of my airbags went off!!! That is inconceivable since my front end collided with the car in front of me AND the car behind me hit my car's rear end. I have a badly bruised sternum and am in a great deal of pain. It hurts all of the time, and is excruciating when I move. The safety systems FAILED. I'm very fortunate that I wasn't more badly injured. My SUV was towed to Larry Campbell's Towing Storage yard, which is located at 7327 Old Statesville Rd. in Charlotte, NC. 28269. ( All 3 cars involved in the accident were towed). The NC Highway Patrol responded to the accident and a report was written. The local report number is 231116167HA.

The first time I had the vehicle in for service it was sensors with the check engine light this time it is in for service and there is a replacement of a fuel pump

While driving at approximately 60 mph I heard a loud popping noise. Once I stopped I noticed my sunroof was completely shattered. I was not in traffic and had not gone under any underpasses. This happened all by itself. The car had been inside the garage and my ride was approximately 15-20 minutes.

No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the transfer case. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 160,000.

The alternator went bad and this was not picked up on multiple diagnosis inspections and therefore this caused continuous safety risks as they kept replacing parts that didn’t need to be fixed due to incorrect diagnosis codes being thrown. My vehicle stalled in the middle of the highway after multiple fixes/inspections due to this issue and the alternator shouldn’t even be going bad.
