August 2025: While driving down the road and approaching a light, I slowed down to turn and make a left. As I braked, all lights on the instrument panel lit up and the car completely turned off. After several attempts to start the car again, the car started. After taking it to a shop, it was determined that the car had consumed all oil, despite being within the recommended milage range for oil change. I filed a complaint with Hyundai, who emailed me to talk to my local dealership. I responded and have yet to receive a response to my communication, as of February 20, 2026. Hyundai dealership has told me that I need to fail three oil consumption tests (I have), complete a combustion cleaning (it has recently been completed), and fail one more consumption test before they can submit to corporate for a new engine. In the meantime, I have experienced my car shaking, the smell of burning oil, my car "jolting" forward while driving at sustained speeds, and a tailpipe that is completely black with 67,800 miles currently on the car.

My driver windshield wiper stop working when driving. It was snowing out and it stopped working. Dealership has been notified. Put myself and my children in the car at risk because I was unable to see out the window. There was no warning light that came on, did not smell differently, just stopped working. Nothing has been inspected as it happened less than 24 hrs ago. Dealer has been notified. They said someone will call me back. Have not heard from the device manager yet.

When driving at low speeds and going over bumps and speed bumps there is a thumping noise coming from the driver’s side rear. I’ve had the issue for quite some time now and there is a TSB on it for a faulty shock insulator. Between 2 different dealerships they have replaced it 3 times now and it’s doing it all over again. The last dealership has told me it is normal noise for the age and mileage of the vehicle.

I am reporting Hyundai Motor America’s failure to remedy two active safety recalls on my 2025 Hyundai Palisade (VIN: [XXX] ) within a reasonable timeframe, despite multiple attempts to have the vehicle repaired. My vehicle has two open safety recalls involving critical occupant protection systems, including seat belt buckle assemblies that may fail to latch properly and a third-row occupant safety defect that increases the risk of injury in the event of a crash or rollover. On October 23, 2025, I brought my vehicle to the Hyundai dealership specifically to have the recall defects repaired. At the time of drop-off, I clearly informed the dealership that the purpose of the visit was for recall repairs. However, the dealership labeled the visit as a “maintenance appointment” instead of properly documenting it as a recall repair visit. The recall defects were not repaired. I returned to the Hyundai dealership again on February 18, 2026, after being promised that the recall repairs would be completed. Once again, Hyundai failed to repair the safety defects, and the recalls remain unresolved. It is now February 20, 2026, more than four months since I first presented the vehicle for recall repair, and Hyundai has failed to remedy these critical safety defects or provide a clear timeline for repair. These defects involve essential safety systems, including seat belts and third-row occupant protection. I have four children who regularly occupy the rear seating areas, and I am deeply concerned about their safety. Hyundai’s failure to repair these safety recalls has placed my family at risk. Because Hyundai has failed to repair the vehicle within a reasonable timeframe, I am requesting NHTSA investigation and assistance. I am also requesting that Hyundai provide trade assistance, replacement, or buyback so that I can obtain a safe vehicle for my family, at no cost to me, due to Hyundai’s inability to remedy these safety defects. After 45 days of purchasing the SUV I notice the front grille was checking and flaking. Report it to the dealership and Hyundai. They said it was caused by "out influence". So they didn't cover it. After several attempts back and forth with dealership they finally agreed to cover the replacement front grille. This is an on going issue with these grilles. The new grille is starting to do the same thing. Many Hyundai palisade customers on the forums are talking about this issue!

- #11719285February 20, 2026SERVICE BRAKES
When I was pulling out of my driveway heading out of the neighborhood. Approaching the stop sign I applied my SUV brakes and it fail. I had to push the neutral button to take it out of gear. My current speed was approximately 25 to 30 mph. I was heading towards a ditch and almost crashed into the ditch. Took the car to the dealership. The dealership inspected and the intake vacuum line that controls the brakes fail part was defective. Dealership had to order the part. It took them 20 days to get my SUV repaired and back to me. Part was covered under warranty.

- #11718913February 18, 2026ENGINE, POWER TRAIN, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
I am reporting a serious safety issue involving my 2025 Hyundai Palisade. The vehicle has repeatedly produced white smoke during cold start and has experienced loss of engine power while driving. Despite multiple repair visits (six times) to an authorized Hyundai dealership, the dealer repeatedly stated that the condition could not be reproduced and no repairs were performed. I provided video evidence of the white smoke and described the symptoms in writing at each visit. Shortly after the most recent service visit(12/22/25), within approximately five days, the vehicle displayed an “Engine Power Limited” warning message and a malfunction indicator light (MIL). When this occurred, the vehicle’s power was significantly reduced, making it difficult to maintain speed and creating a potentially dangerous condition, especially during highway driving or merging into traffic. This issue poses a serious safety risk because sudden loss of engine power can increase the risk of collision. The problem appears to be intermittent but recurring, and it has not been properly diagnosed or corrected by the dealership despite repeated opportunities. The vehicle has not been repaired for this condition, and the defect remains unresolved. The condition may be available for inspection upon request, and diagnostic data such as warning messages and onboard fault codes should be present in the vehicle’s system. The failure began with white smoke during cold start and later escalated to engine power limitation and warning lights.

On at least 8 occasions, the vehicle has issued a warning to take control now of the vehicle and then begun to stop the vehicle. On 2/16/26, it tried to stop the vehicle on two occasions, and the driver had to press the gas pedal as a car was approaching from behind. I have videos and dash cam videos of several occurrences. It also has determined that an overpass was an obstacle and tried to stop the vehicle. I have taken it to the Hyundai dealership 5x. Hyundai cannot duplicate the issue, but the videos clearly show the problem. It is random. There is a significant defect with the sensors and/or software.

I was driving on the highway at about 65-70 MPH and the sunroof spontaneously shattered. It sounded like an explosion. No object hit the car. We were in Nevada and the outside temp was in the mid 60s. The inside air conditioning was set at 69. We pulled over to inspect and take a picture. I have read about numerous complaints of this happening going back to the 2021 models and as recently as the 2024 models. We had the shade closed, but if it were open glass could have sprayed all over the car and into my passengers eyes, faces, etc. It is scary and dangerous.

Engine is sucking the life out of this vehicle meaning it is consuming more than normal oil. Oil consumption, I had the testing done. and Hyundai has done nothing about fixing the issues Well I am the second owner of this vehicle and it should be laws in place for the second owners of a vehicle. The first owner was keeping up on the maintenance of the vehicle so have I. I also have white smoke coming from the tailpipe. as well as stalling and stopping. I am still making payments on this vehicle and it is not far that I have to constantly get oil changes every month or sometimes twice a month seems like it. That is a lot of spending for something that should not be. It is so many people out there going through the same issues. It is a few Facebook group pages made behind this. It's truly sad that Hyundai will not fix this problem. What are we to do? Please Help.

I am writing to formally report Hyundai’s failure to remedy Safety Recall 25V607 involving defective first and second-row seatbelts in our 2025 Hyundai Palisade. The recall was issued in September 2025 and stated no remedy was yet available but the vehicle remained safe if belts were checked after fastening. In December 2025, the front passenger seatbelt in our vehicle began unlatching while driving at highway speeds, even after confirming proper engagement as instructed by Hyundai. We have repeatedly contacted Hyundai of 110 (Farmingdale, NY) regarding remedy availability. A remedy became available in early December, and we were put on the dealership's list to order parts from Hyundai directly on December 30, but the parts still continue to be on backorder. We have minor children who must now rely on seatbelt-based car seat installation due to weight limits on LATCH. This is our only vehicle and it is virtually unusable at this point because I cannot in good conscience put my child in a car seat secured by a defective seatbelt. Given the documented malfunction of the seatbelt system, we are extremely concerned about the continued safety of this vehicle. Hyundai has not offered: - A loaner vehicle - A repurchase - A timeline for remedy We respectfully request investigation into Hyundai’s delay in remedying this federally mandated safety recall.

1/28/2026 Son was driving in a parking lot when all of a sudden, with no prior warning signs, the steering wheel locked up and he could not turn. Fortunately he was able to stop the vehicle; otherwise, it would have hit into other cars and he could have been injured. And fortunately this did not take place on a freeway. Hyundai service center located DCTS: C168806, C168886, and C240162. Replaced MPDS motor and ECU.
