Vehicle has approximately 41,000 miles on it; rear view mirror broke loose from the windshield; had to have the windshield replaced as it pulled some of the glass from the windshield when it broke loose; went to Safe-lite glass shop and the owner told me they see lots of Hyundai Palisades with the same issue; $2,000 at the dealership and $1,200 at Safe-lite. The OEM windshield glass in this vehicle is a safety hazard. Who knows how it would react in a collision?

When exiting a parking lot going about 6 miles an hour I approached a stop sign. When I attempted to stop my vehicle the antilock brakes engaged and vehicle would not stop. I pressed harder on the brake but it did nothing. The vehicle finally did stop but I was half a car length into the street. I was terrified. Fortunately there was no oncoming vehicle. This terrifies me because I frequently have my grandchildren it the car, the reason we bought a large vehicle.

Some time around November the third row seat didn’t close, so I opened it back up, didn’t see anything stopping it, hit the button again, and then it closed but I heard a crunching noise - I reopened to discover there was a plastic storage box that ended up getting completely crushed. I didn’t think much about it, not even after the recall, until this week. The same left side of third row was closed. I went to open it to get ready to pack out for spring break and it opened half way and got stuck at a 45 degree open angle. It wouldn’t close or open again. During this same time trying to figure it out, my teenager opened the driver side rear door to get into the rear seat to see if something was getting it stuck. At the same time I opened the driver door and the driver seat automatically started moving backwards like always, but with my teenager being the driver seat and her foot got stuck under the driver seat because that sensor as well in the front seat didn’t stop when she was behind it. I think it is beyond just the serving and third rows and the front toe doesn’t have a proper sensor either. This was Friday at 4:50. I immediately called my dealer to see if they could help us get something fixed so we could leave for spring break as planned the next day and they said managers were already gone for the day and told my Hyundai corp needed to handle and gave me that phone number. Hyundai Corp. opened a ticket for me, but said that this was definitely something the dealer would have to handle in regards to getting me a rental and any matter of recourse. I called my local dealer back who said that no one would be able to talk to me until Monday so we had to delay our spring break trip and we are still in limbo, wondering what is going to happen tomorrow. My Husband is absolutely refusing to put our family of four children in the car at this moment because of the safety issues unresolved.

2 open recalls on safety with no fix yet. Suspension has messed up, random electrical issues in dash and cruise control. My transmission also stalls at certain times. Dealership replaces struts, states they can’t get the vehicle electrical to act up although I have photos and videos and they can’t get the engine to stall. They can’t fix my seatbelts or the airbag and now a theirs row recall note was sent this week for it. This vechicle is not safe to drive/ride my children in and they can’t fix it.

It requires significant force to cause the seat detection to stop folding. I’m concerned for the safety of passengers if this was accidentally engaged since easily accessible in the 3rd row.

- #11727715March 28, 2026UNKNOWN OR OTHER, SEAT BELTS, SEATS
My 2025 Hyundai Palisade is currently subject to multiple safety recalls affecting occupant safety. These include a recall involving seat belt buckle assemblies in the front and second row seating positions, as well as a separate recall involving the third-row seating area where the vehicle may not meet federal safety standards for occupant protection and may increase the risk of injury during a rollover crash. At this time, there is no available remedy for the third-row safety recall. Although no crash or injury has occurred, I regularly transport my children in this vehicle and am concerned about operating a vehicle that has been identified as having an increased risk of injury in a rollover crash without any available fix. The vehicle is available for inspection, and I have scheduled a dealership appointment to address the recalls that currently have available remedies. However, the primary safety concern remains unresolved due to the lack of a repair for the third-row issue. This situation raises concerns about occupant safety and the ability to safely transport passengers.

I own a Hyundai vehicle with an active safety recall related to seatbelt buckle failure. The driver seatbelt buckle does not latch at all. The seatbelt tongue inserts but does not lock, making the seat unusable and unsafe to be driven. This issue matches the recall description for defective seatbelt buckle assemblies that may prevent proper latching. I have contacted multiple Hyundai dealerships and Hyundai corporate. I was informed that the recall remedy is not currently available due to lack of parts and will likely not be available for another 16 weeks. This recall has been open since approximately September 2025, and as of now (March 2026), no repair has been provided. Hyundai has not provided a loaner vehicle or guaranteed transportation solution despite the safety-critical nature of this issue. I was advised to contact dealerships individually to search for parts or loaners, which is not a viable solution. I am concerned about the extended delay in providing a remedy for a critical safety component and the lack of a consistent interim solution for affected owners.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing regarding multiple recalls affecting my 2025 Hyundai Palisade, specifically related to the electrical harness and ongoing safety concerns. Since purchasing the vehicle from a Hyundai dealership in [XXX] , I have experienced repeated issues. Initially, dashboard lights activated randomly while driving, followed by connectivity problems and a malfunctioning trunk. In February, the vehicle required full disassembly to replace the electrical harness, which disrupted a planned family trip. I was provided a Hyundai Elantra loaner, which was not suitable for my family of five, causing a two-week inconvenience. Additionally, the dealership failed to complete a scheduled oil change, requiring me to return. Shortly after, I received another recall notice involving third-row safety concerns during a rollover. Given that a fatality has already been associated with this issue, I am extremely concerned about the safety of this vehicle, especially as I transport my three young children daily. The vehicle’s multiple recalls, safety risks, and extensive repairs have significantly reduced its value and reliability. I am also currently waiting on an airbag cap, but was informed on March 27, 2026, that the part received was incorrect, causing further delays. This has been my first Hyundai purchase, and it has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. The vehicle no longer feels new and appears to be unreliable due to ongoing defects. As of March 28, 2026, I am requesting the option to trade in the vehicle at the original purchase price or receive appropriate compensation. The vehicle has under 10,000 miles, and I am still making payments on a vehicle that does not meet multiple Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, including #226 Ejection Mitigation. I would like to resolve this matter as soon as possible and transition into a safe, reliable vehicle. Sincerely, [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My 9 year old daughter was sitting in middle row, as her sisters were getting in as well, the recliner button was pressed and she was being pinned against the front row seat. She wiggled her way out but suffers from Spina bifida and wears AFO braces for her feet. Her foot braces were caught and they snapped but luckily she was able to wiggle out.

The third-row power seat fails to detect obstructions and continues closing under resistance, even when encountering large objects such as a fully loaded backpack. The seat does not stop or reverse, indicating a failure of the obstruction detection / anti-pinch safety feature. This creates a crushing hazard to passengers, including children. A fatal incident involving a similar seat malfunction in the same make and model has been reported. The problem persists whenever the seat is operated, and the malfunction has been documented on video. Although the vehicle has not been inspected by a dealership, Hyundai Consumer Affairs has been provided with video evidence. They have suggested further inspection, but no engineering-level evaluation of this safety issue has been completed. The seat continues to close under resistance and does not stop or reverse. The failure of the seat’s obstruction detection system creates a significant crushing hazard. Although no injury has occurred in my vehicle, the reported fatal incident involving the same defect shows the potential for serious injury or death. Video evidence demonstrating the seat malfunction is available. All correspondence with Hyundai Consumer Affairs documenting attempts to resolve this issue can be provided upon request.

- #11727572March 27, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Today, March 27, 2026, I sent an email to Hyundai Customer Affairs that stated the following: "To whom it may concern, on January 21, 2025, I emailed Hyundai Customer Affairs about an issue that is of significant importance. To date, the only response I have received regarding this issue (Case # XXX) on February 2, 2025, acknowledging my email and assigning the reference case number. However, the issue with the cruise control's resume execution is unacceptable and [likely] dangerous. There is no reason for the cruise control to accelerate in such an aggressive manner. What is it going to require for this issue to resolve/address this?" While the car has traction control, there is no reason for such an aggressive manner for the cruise control to accelerate as you can see in my email it to Hyundai their lack of action is concerning. While the vehicle was off and in my garage, the vehicle started on its own and was idling at an extremely high RPM. I was the only person home, the keys were out of reach on a key rack and had not been driven yet for the day. I walked into the garage and found my vehicles engine running at a high RPM and all the electrical displays within the vehicle were compleltely off with only the engine running. I retrieved my keys and my only thought was to start the car, which I did which then brought the RPM down to standard idle. I am extremely concerned as a vehicle idling in an eclosed garage poses extremely high risk to Carbon Monoxide.

I tested the 3rd row in my Palisade Calligraphy 2022 after a death of a little girl happened in a 2026 model. I placed a case of water bottles in the seat, where my children have ridden so many times before on trips. Watched the seat go down, not one time did the sensor trigger. The water bottles were crushed. This is terrifying findings. It means its not just Hyundais 2026 problems, this is much bigger of an issue. Please please please look into this.

I am submitting this formal complaint regarding an active safety recall affecting the seat belt system of my 2025 Hyundai Palisade XRT. Hyundai has acknowledged the existence of the defect. However, I was informed by a Hyundai customer service representative [XXX] ), under case number XXX, that there is currently no available remedy or repair for this recall. This situation is deeply concerning, as it involves a critical safety component intended to protect occupants in the event of a collision. Due to the nature of this defect, I do not feel safe operating the vehicle under any circumstances. Despite the acknowledged safety risk, Hyundai has not provided any adequate interim solution, such as a replacement vehicle or transportation assistance, leaving me effectively unable to safely use the vehicle. This places me in an unreasonable and unsafe position, as I am left with a vehicle that poses a potential risk to my safety without any available corrective action. I respectfully request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigate this matter and take appropriate action to ensure that Hyundai provides a timely and effective remedy, as well as appropriate support to affected consumers. Recall notice was received reporting 3rd row seating unsafe for occupants. There is no remedy at this time and I have 4 children under the age of 8, two of which ride in the 3rd row. Dealership has been reluctant to help with this matter and Hyundai corporate has delayed communication.

RE: Failed Radar Braking on a 2024 Hyundai Palisade What component or system failed or malfunctioned .. . . On Feb 8th, 2026 I was driving in to Lakeland FL on I-75 N, in the right hand lane, near a green stoplight following a car 2 lengths ahead. The radar cruise control was slowing me down, keeping up with the car in front. Another driver suddenly cut in front of me from the far left lane. The cruise slammed on the brakes. Within seconds he took a hard right to catch an exit ramp. The radar cruise then accelerated at an extremely high rate, and no Braking, causing me to hit the car in front of me, which was stopped about a car length away at a red light. Our air bags, 3 on driver's side, 1 on the passenger side deployed and my wife and I appeared to have no injury. The Hyundai front end crumpled in, trapping us in the car. The police pried open the doors to get us out. The car was totaled. We rented a car through our insurance and continued our 4 day journey home. On the 3rd day my right leg started turning black and blue. By the 4th day my left leg started doing the same. On returning to Stevens Point I went to the ER. The Dr. said the bruises would take several weeks to clear. And it is not unusual for the bruising to appear several days later. On March 9th both my legs developed large hematomas. The right one just above the ankle, the left just below the knee. A week after that the right hematoma developed 2 deep open wounds and I had to go for wound care involving twice daily bandage changes and then a wound vac. The Dr. says it will be a long recovery. I would have been better off without the leg airbags. Two people in the front car claimed whiplash and were taken to the hospital for observation. The police said they did not appear to be injured, but better safe than sorry. We were trapped in the car and couldn't get out till the Police got there 20 minutes later. By then the ones in the front car had been taken away.
