On April 28 the automatic seat has broken and has been stuck all the way in the back position. This is making the vehicle unsafe to drive because me or my wife can't reach the petals. We have contacted our local Hyundai dealership and Hyundai Corporate multiple times, but are not getting any calls or emails returned. Al I have is a case number is hyundai corporate who stated a case manager would reach out in one business day. So far it has been three business days and they still have not contacted us.

Dealer sold vehicle with open safety recall. They said it has been fixed but Hyundai confirmed recall is still there. This vehicle even had stop sale from Hyundai. I was informed it has no issues.

- #11736257May 7, 2026UNKNOWN OR OTHER, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS
On April 22nd my camera worked on my car but did not prompt warnings - I was in a parking lot and was backing up and tapped the car behind me. It is then that I noticed no beeping on getting close to the car. No damage to either car fortunately as they stated I was going ever so slow. On April 23rd got it in to the Hyndai dealership service department and there was another vehicle in there for the same issue I was told by them. WELL..... was told there is no recall. They replaced a harness I was told and final bill was $1126.30. NOt under warranty because my car has 113,000 miles. I would be glad to provide the final billing. I am reporting as there seems to ba an issue with this and I would hope that it gets addressed and if so would like my bill of $1126.30 reimbursed.

- #11736117May 6, 2026ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
The contact owns a 2020 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that he initially began to notice that his engine would consume oil at a rapid pace. As the failure persisted, the vehicle would shudder upon depression of the accelerator pedal as the check engine light appeared on the instrument panel. In addition, the contact stated that white smoke would emit from the exhaust pipe. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the spark plugs were replaced on two separate occasions due to carbon build up. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where it remained in their possession for three months before the contact was informed that they were performing an oil consumption test. The contact was advised to bring the vehicle back at 1,000 to continue the oil test. After 1,000, the contact was informed that the engine showed no sign of excessive oil consumption. The contact then stated that while driving at 35 MPH, the vehicle shut off without warning as the contact managed to coast the vehicle into a nearby parking lot. The contact attempt to restart the vehicle; however, the engine failed to start. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to his independent mechanic where they diagnosed the vehicle with engine failure. The vehicle was then towed to another dealer(Diehl Hyundai of Sharon-1251 E State St, Sharon, PA 16146) where the vehicle remained in their possession for two months were they replaced the engine and vehicle starter. Upon return of vehicle while driving at 55 MPH, the front end of the vehicle began to violently shake and the contact immediately contacted the dealer. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not test driven before the vehicle was returned due to the excessive wear of the rear tires. Additionally, the contact stated that the steering wheel would shake while driving which would cause the contact to lose control of the vehicle without warning. The dealer refused to offer a loaner vehicle and that they would listen to the engine but could not guarantee any repairs. The contac

Following Hyundai Recall 296 on my 2026 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy, the second-row “car seat friendly” tilt-and-slide seat functionality changed significantly after the required software update. Prior to the recall update, the seats operated with a one-touch tilt-and-slide function that allowed easy third-row access while using car seats and booster seats. After the recall update: - the seat now requires continuously holding the button during operation, - the seat no longer returns to its previous seating position correctly, - the seatback returns at an unusually upright angle, - and multiple additional manual adjustments are required afterward to reposition the seat properly. As a parent using booster seats daily, I am concerned this updated behavior creates usability issues for children independently accessing the third row and may result in children sitting in improperly adjusted seating positions unless an adult fully readjusts the seat each time. I understand and support the original safety recall, but I wanted to formally document concerns regarding the significantly altered functionality and real-world family usability following the recall remedy.

My vehicle is subject to Manufacturer Recall 297/NHTSA Recall 26V169. My dashboard is indicating that the third row driver seat is buckled when it is not. Also, when the seat belt is actually buckled, it will sometimes indicate that it is not. This is a safety issue as I cannot tell whether the seat belt is actually buckled or not. Additionally, the seat will not fold because it thinks a person is sitting in the seat. I have taken my vehicle for to Great Lakes Hyundai of Dublin twice (May 6 and April 16th) to complete the recall. Both times they did not complete the recall as they did not have the parts, said they could not order them, and did not know exactly when they would receive them.

I am reporting a safety concern regarding my 2023 Hyundai Palisade (VIN: [XXX] ). My vehicle is associated with recall-related safety concerns. I have been informed that there is currently no available remedy or timeline to address the issue. This places me in a position where I am expected to continue driving a vehicle that may have a known safety risk, without any resolution available. I do not feel safe transporting my family in this vehicle, and I am concerned about the risk of injury if the issue were to result in a failure while driving. I have attempted to work directly with Hyundai Motor America; however, I have not been provided with a meaningful resolution or alternative option. I was also informed that there is no current fix available. This is not simply an inconvenience—it is a safety concern involving a vehicle that I rely on daily. I am requesting that this complaint be documented and reviewed as part of any ongoing investigation into this issue. The vehicles check engine light has come on. I have had it to the dealership several times. I spent a large amount of money to have the fuel injectors replaced. Not fixed. The dealership has told me they have had 3 others in with the same problem and haven’t been able to fix it. Now my vehicle is out of warranty so I have to pay for all the repairs. I have had to e vehicle stall 4 times now in traffic.

- #11735473May 4, 2026SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
While driving the vehicle ahead brake suddenly. When I applied the brake pedal, it felt abnormally stiff/stuck and did not provide Norma breaking response. Th vehicle did not decelerate as expected despite immediate pedal input. At the same time, the Forward Collision Avoidance Assist system did not activate or provide any braking assistance. Due to the lack of effective braking, I was unable to stop in time and a collision occurred. The primary concern is a potential failure or malfunction in the braking system occurring prior to impact combined with the apparent failure of the automatic emergency braking system to engage. This created a situation where the vehicle could not be stopped under emergency conditions posing a serious safety risk

While driving, the vehicle in front of me stopped suddenly. When I pressed on the brake pedal it felt stuck and did not respond properly. The forward collision automatic braking system did not activate. This resulted in a crash. After the incident, the vehicle had fluid leaks and severe front-end damage and is not drivable. I am concerned there was brake system failure prior to impact.

I am reporting a safety concern following an over-the-air (OTA) recall update (Hyundai Recall #296) on my 2026 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy AWD (software version 263Q.LX3.USA.ccNC.001.001.260326). I understand this recall was issued in response to a fatal incident involving the second-row seat system, which is why this issue is especially concerning. Since the update, the second-row walk-in seat function used for third-row access is not operating correctly. When I press the button near the headrest, the seat does not move fully forward, and I have to use the manual slide forward/back button to move it the rest of the way. When returning the seat, it does not go all the way back, and the seatback remains tilted forward at about a 70–80 degree angle instead of returning to its normal upright position, requiring manual adjustment using the recline button. In addition, during one occurrence when the second-row seat was activated, the front passenger seat moved slightly on its own without any input. This unexpected movement of another seat is especially concerning. This behavior began only after the recall update and appears to be a malfunction, possibly related to seat calibration or software coordination between seat systems. This creates a potential safety issue involving unintended seat movement and improper seat positioning.

- #11735426May 3, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE, POWER TRAIN
I recently purchased this vehicle, and shortly after, it began having serious powertrain issues. When I accelerate, the vehicle intermittently loses power and starts shaking violently. It feels like the engine or transmission is slipping or failing. The RPMs surge and drop rapidly, and the vehicle hesitates, jerks, and sometimes briefly slows down before suddenly accelerating again. This creates an unsafe and unpredictable driving condition, especially when merging or driving in traffic. I’m concerned about a loss of propulsion while the vehicle is in motion. My mechanic indicated the issue may involve the torque converter clutch not engaging properly (possible “stuck off” or circuit performance issue), which would explain the shuddering and inconsistent power transfer. Despite how severe this is, there are no warning lights or check engine light, and no diagnostic codes, which raises concern that the failure is not being detected by the vehicle’s onboard systems. I am also experiencing low and fluctuating engine oil levels even after topping it off and a recent oil change, which may indicate an additional engine-related defect. The vehicle has a clean title and no accident history. - Failed system: Powertrain (engine/transmission), suspected torque converter clutch malfunction. Vehicle is available for inspection. - Safety risk: Intermittent loss of power, hesitation, and surging creates a high risk of collision, especially in traffic or at highway speeds. - Confirmation: My independent mechanic has identified as likely a torque converter related issue. - Inspection status: Not yet inspected by manufacturer or insurance. - Warnings/symptoms: No warning lights or codes. Symptoms began shortly after I purchased and have worsened over time.

A repeated clicking sound in the door locks which is probably pointing toward a failing door lock actuator when I unlock the car or when I open any door or trunk. Then I get a "Child Safety Lock Failure" message on my dash.

Hyundai's recent emissions software update (9C9) has disabled engine braking, creating a risk of brake fade on grades. The vehicle is no longer able to hold speed while descending grades, regardless of downshifting, forcing the brakes to be implemented to avoid excessive speed. This was never an issue prior to the software update and happened immediately after the software was installed. Instead of holding the vehicle with the engine (foot off the gas, and downshifting) the engine will continue to increase speed up to the point of approaching maximum RPMs. Further evidence of this behavior is that trying to use the engine braking no longer shows maximum MPG on the dash, indicating the software update is still feeding fuel to the engine with the foot off the gas.
