The clock spring assembly makes a noise whenever I turn the steering - this was once fixed through replacement by long beach honda and a couple of months later the issue came up again. Now, the dealer says Honda should be addressing it. The issue today till exists on vehicle and Honda refuses to take any action which is very weird as many users on online threads report the same issue. I am not sure if this might be related to the recall number (24V744000) but my car shows no open recalls. Long Beach Honda confirmed the issue and replaced the part once, but the issue came up again after a couple of months itself. see this thread - https://www.reddit.com/r/crv/s/vGOzgTLDNO

2025 Honda CRV Hybrid windshield wiper fluid does not spray. Instead the fluid is dribbled on to the sides of the front windshield but does not clean the majority of the windshield that you need to navigate with. This new design is highly INEFFECTIVE in cleaning window of dirt, bugs, grime, etc., and makes seeing clearly while driving very difficult and UNSAFE. Even after initiating the windshield wiper "spray" numerous times in a row, the window was left dirty and difficult to see through. Terrible, unsafe, design.

In [XXX], my daughter's 2017 Honda CR-V EX (VIN: [XXX] ) broke down while driving due to turbocharger failure. The vehicle was towed to Corwin Honda in Colorado Springs, CO, an authorized Honda dealership. The repair order documented the customer complaint as "multiple warning lights on, lack of acceleration, coolant was added." The dealership replaced the turbocharger for $4,540. The multi-point inspection form from that visit shows the coolant recovery reservoir as "Not Inspected," despite the stated coolant complaint and despite the service estimate promising to check all fluid levels. Four months later, in February 2026, the vehicle broke down again while being driven. The same dealership has now diagnosed a blown head gasket and is recommending full engine replacement. The vehicle lost power while in motion, creating a safety hazard. I want to note that Corwin Honda's shop foreman acknowledged during a recorded conversation that they are currently seeing multiple identical failure patterns — turbo failure followed by head gasket failure — on 2017-2019 Honda CR-Vs with the 1.5T engine, and that the volume of such cases has increased significantly in the past six to nine months. I am aware that Honda is currently a defendant in active federal class action litigation [XXX] et al. v. American Honda Motor Co., Case No. [XXX]) specifically alleging a design defect in the 1.5T engine causing coolant leakage, head gasket failure, and sudden loss of power. The sudden loss of motive power while driving constitutes a safety risk to the vehicle occupant and other drivers. To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint to report serious and potentially life-threatening safety defects involving my Honda vehicle. 1. Intermittent Failure of Crash Avoidance / Collision Mitigation System The vehicle’s anti-collision/crash-avoidance system has stopped functioning intermittently and without warning. This system is intended to provide critical safety protection, and its unpredictable failure significantly increases the risk of a collision. There is no consistent pattern or driver action that explains the system disengaging, which makes the defect especially dangerous. 2. Sudden and Unexplained Sunroof Explosion While Driving While driving at normal highway speed, the sunroof glass suddenly exploded outward without any impact from debris, other vehicles, or road hazards. There was no prior warning. Glass shattered violently, creating an immediate safety emergency that could have resulted in serious injury or loss of vehicle control. This incident was extremely frightening and posed a serious risk to myself, my passengers, and other motorists. Based on my research, similar incidents involving spontaneous sunroof shattering have been reported by other drivers, suggesting a possible systemic defect rather than an isolated incident. I believe these defects represent an unreasonable risk to public safety and warrant investigation. I respectfully request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration review this matter and take appropriate action to ensure driver and passenger safety. Thank you for your attention to this serious concern.

When speeding up to highway speeds, the check engine light will start flashing and car will going into limp mode and lose power. Turning the car off and then back on fixes the problem, but it also removes any check engine codes. This has occurred 3x in the last month, unable to determine when or why it is occurring.

Windshield camera and all its functions does not work. The following systems do not work. LKAS ACC CMBS LDW I drive 3 hours to work and back and not having these safety features is dangerous for me because my foot and ankle hurts to keep a consistent speed, and when I am drowsy the LKAS helps me stay in my lane. All of these warning lights are on my dash. I bought this vehicle in 2018 and the lights have been on since 2024. I am just now learning that I could report this.

We were driving yesterday evening (02/26) when the anti-collision break light flashed and the vehicle force stopped with without any obstacles in front of us. We were fortunate that a car wasn’t immediately behind us to have caused a collision. This was the first instance of failure. We haven’t reported to manufacture or others yet. We looked along the front number and tires thinking maybe it sensed something but nothing was there.

My 2019 Honda CRV just recently reached 120000 miles and turned on the check engine light, after doing a diagnostic at the dealer it turned out to be a blown head gasket which the 1.5 engine is notorious for and Honda hasn’t put out a recall out for this costly repair. It’s a very common issue that needs to be addressed by Honda before more owners have to spend their hard earned money on repairs for a known issue from the factory on these vehicles.

I bought my car a Honda CRV 2018 at a dealership brand new in 2019. The problems with car is now with ABS system. ABS lights are all on and information was told by independent service. ABS system was replaced by independent service center, but the problem is still ongoing. Do you recover for the ABS system?

While ascending a steep hill in San Francisco, the engine began operating roughly and the check engine light came on and began flashing. Pulled over as soon as possible, let the engine cool, and confirmed in the operator manual that the flashing light indicated severe misfire and possible loss of engine power. After cooloff and restart, the flashing check engine light went off, but a scanner revealed a pending P0302 error code, indicating a misfire in cylinder 2. On the first restart of the engine, it started roughly before settling down, and I could hear loud water sloshing. On the short drive home, I could continue to feel the engine running roughly on each startup cycle (periodically on the drive since this is a hybrid), indicating to me a blown head gasket. In my research, this seems to be a common issue with this engine or model year (see NHTSA Preliminary Evaluation PE25016 or Bissell v. American Honda Motor Co., Inc. et al). I'm confident that if I continue to drive it, another misfire like this on a hill in San Francisco could easily cause a loss of power, steering, or braking action. I will be taking it in for inspection at a Honda service center. The service representative at my local service center (Berkeley CA) indicated this is a common issue on this car that they see regularly. No prior mechanical issues or engine roughness with the vehicle, or anything that would've indicated an issue prior to this misfire and leak. Regularly serviced as a leased vehicle from Honda dealership until it was purchased 2 years ago from the dealership with 70,000 miles. No major maintenance since purchase besides oil changes, rear differential fluid changes, air filters, and tire replacement.

Wiper fluid is not disbursed from wiper blades until blades are in full LEFT swipe position. No fluid is disbursed on the way up to that left position, so all fluid from driver side wiper blades goes off the side of windshield or just pools there. Very little fluid from the passenger side blade goes onto windshield in front of driver. There is no way to get fluid on passenger side of windshield, since fluid comes from top of blade, which is pointing left in straight up position when fluid is disbursed. This is a terrible design. I run out of fluid frequently and cannot see to drive is messy, Ohio winters. This happens each time I use the wiper fluid, not just on the random January date I selected.

- #11720652February 26, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
I am filing this complaint regarding a serious safety issue with my 2018 Honda CR-V. The vehicle is experiencing repeated and unpredictable malfunctions involving the dashboard display, warning systems, and automatic braking features while the vehicle is in motion. While driving at normal speeds, the vehicle has braked on its own with no obstacle, vehicle, pedestrian, or hazard present in front of me. This sudden braking occurs without warning and creates a significant risk of being rear-ended or losing control of the vehicle. The braking feels as though the collision mitigation or safety system is activating incorrectly. At the same time or on separate occasions, the dashboard display begins glitching and flashing multiple warning indicators. These include: • Tire pressure warning lights appearing even though the tires are properly inflated • Sensor warning lights activating randomly • Alerts indicating systems such as collision warning, vehicle detection, or high-beam assist are malfunctioning • Messages stating safety features are not working when there is no apparent reason These warnings often appear simultaneously and disappear later without explanation. The infotainment or instrument display sometimes flickers or behaves erratically when this occurs. This issue is extremely concerning because it suggests a failure in the vehicle’s electrical system, sensors, or safety-assist technology. The unexpected braking alone poses a major safety hazard, particularly at highway speeds or in traffic, as it could cause a crash. In addition, the false warnings make it difficult to determine when the vehicle actually has a real problem that needs attention. The malfunction happens randomly and is not tied to weather conditions, road conditions, or driving behavior. It has occurred during normal driving with no obstacles present and no reason for the safety systems to activate. Because this issue involves unintended braking and malfunctioning driver

The hybrid battery fan is emitting a loud, high-pitched noise from the back of the vehicle while driving on the highway. It makes it difficult to drive and gives me a headache, which makes it difficult to focus and endangers my own safety and those around me. The dealership has acknowledged that this is an issue for my vehicle, but states that there is no solution offered by Honda at this time.

After driving in snowy or icy conditions, per JL Freed Honda Dealership in Montgomeryville, PA, snow/ice accumulates in drive axel. This causes loud noise when accelerating, and when braking. This happened twice this winter.

Other than the Emergency brake system coming on suddenly a couple times (seat belt has hurt me, but not medically documented), there have been no other issues with this car. In the November of 2025, it overheated in gridlock traffic in Boston, MA, which had me freaking out. The engine coolant was low, so I had to find a spot to pull over and let the steam out. I drove it safely home and refilled the tank. It was checked out by my local mechanic and he said it looked fine. Towards the end of January, the car overheated again, so I immediately went to the auto store to buy prediluted coolant to fill the tank (which was now full). Last week (February 2026), I was driving home on the highway and all the emergency lights came on and the car stopped accelerating. I was able to get the car home, but moved my Pump module recall appointment up to the following day. Honda North in Danvers, MA (where we purchased the car) investigated and found a cracked cylinder, Head Gasket needing replacement, turbo chargers needing replacement, and the fuel injector needing replacement. The report also says the engine coolant tank was empty, but I only filled it a couple weeks ago. The mechanic said I could drive it home on the back roads, but it is no longer safe to drive, as there are severe safety risks (The car passed every other inspection). The sales team expected me to make a deal that day, because I could not drive home. My car's mileage is just over 127,000 miles, and they are only offering $6000 or $8000 with trade in. I have learned there are lawsuits over the 1.5V turbo engine and am surprised Honda is not recalling the engine due to safety risk. My family has had 5 hondas in the past decade and up until this point, believed they were safe, reliable cars. I am really dissappointed by this, especially because the cost to repair is over $11,000. I also want to note that someone on reddit coincidentally had the same issue within the same hour as myself.

I was pumping gas and DURING gas started pouring out by the rear tire flap. It was not a whole tank but a large amount. And the next day also noticed a puddle where gas tank lies. This has happened in the past but sporadically and not all of the gas comes out. Also, there is a safety recall on rear fuel feed pipe leaks AND fuel pump motor but supposedly not on this particular vehicle year/VIN.

The contact owns a 2021 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving 73 MPH with two children inside the vehicle, the check engine warning light illuminated, and while depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle decelerated and failed to respond as needed. The contact was able to move over to the right side of the road, where the vehicle was turned off and restarted, and operated as intended. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the diagnostic result was unknown. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 48,000.
