The contact owns a 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid. The contact stated that upon pulling into the driveway, the contact noticed an abnormal sound coming from the front driver's side of the vehicle, where the battery was located. The contact stated that while driving 5 MPH to her father's residence on a slight decline, approximately 30 minutes later, the vehicle experienced a complete loss of power, became inoperable, and stopped in the middle of the roadway. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact engaged the emergency gear lock to release the gear shifter, and the contact shifted to neutral(N); however, the vehicle rolled forward at approximately 3 MPH and hit a fence before the contact and her family could push it to the side of the road. There was no property damage. The front bumper of the vehicle was damaged. No police report was filed. There was no reported injury. Upon investigating the failure online, both the contact and the vehicle insurance company learned that the manufacturer was aware of the common failure but had not issued a recall. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was being diagnosed. The vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 2,581.

For approx. the last 12-18 months, I have experienced "sticky steering" during every drive. The "sticky" feeling becoming worse as the speed of the vehicle increases. There is a recall on 2023-25 CR-V EPS Grbx Greasing Saf Rec, but not on 2019 Honda CR-V's. I took my CR-V to the Honda dealer who was able to experience the steering issue of our CRV and was quoted $3,987.65 for the repair plus $169.00 for an alignment which is required for such repair. This issue is a huge safety concern. In researching the "sticky steering" issue, it appears to be a common issue with 2019 Honda CR-V's and should, in my opinion, be considered for recall. Due to the cost of the repair, I contacted Honda Corp. to request assistance with this repair. My case with denied because 1) my vehicle is out of warranty, 2) I didn't get my maintenance items done at a Honda dealership (which I don't know what an oil change has to do with the steering), and 3) this vehicle is the only Honda I've owned, which is incorrect as this is my 3rd Honda (2006 Accord, 2009 Civic and 2019 CR-V). I corrected the case manager about this being my first Honda (no comment was made by the case manager acknowledging his incorrect information or my loyalty as a 3-time Honda owner), questioned him why maintenance items would be a factor with a steering issue (case manager said it was a loyalty thing on my part by having maintenance done at Honda), and asked if I could appeal his decision. I was told no reconsideration would be given on my case. I am making this compliant because this is a safety issue and also a common issue on this year, make and model. I am hopeful if enough compliants are filed that Honda will be forced to consider this a recall item. Until them, I am left to figure out a way to pay for this costly repair on my own.

November 2024 I had a new battery and tires put on my 2016 Honda CRV. 14 months later my car would not start. I had to have a jump start. I had to have it jump started a few times more than took it to have it checked out. They put in a new battery February 2026. A month later my car would not start. I took it to a mechanic who found the door handle sensor bad. I have seen many other owners having the same problem. I also found out that it costs upward of $1,000 to fix. This should be a recall since so many had this problem, and I am sure you are aware of it. Please help us.

All warning lights began going off in car as driving. No overheating and search indicated it may be due to battery needing replacement. Drove to Honda dealer/service to have vehicle inspected and was informed Turbo charger failed. Between research done and a call to our local dealer and was told this is a common issue. Diagnostic report and quote for new engine and turbo attached. Please note they did not perform the search to confirm there is metal in the engine.

- #11727725March 28, 2026FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, UNKNOWN OR OTHER, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Multiple warning lights were turning on then turning off in their own, typically 2-3 days later. However while on, all ADAS showed errors and did not work. Most recent time, had an elevation changed (over 6000 ft), lights came cascading on parked safely. Next morning, car would not accelerate/was extremely jerky. Turned off waited turned back on, while lights were on car felt to be running fine. Slightly off sounding idle. DTC showed multiple misfires and error codes with a recommendation to replace fuel injectors. Dealer was surprised given relatively low milage (109000 miles) for this issue to occur.

- #11727479March 27, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE
The contact owns a 2020 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle started losing automotive power. The check engine warning light started flashing and then remained illuminated, and the vehicle failed to accelerate above 15 MPH. The contact stated that the battery was drained and showed only one bar of battery charge on the instrument panel. The contact stated that after pulling over and restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal operation. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. Every once in a while, on a regular basis, ALL the dash warning lights will light up and alarm, as if every single feature of the car is in an emergency state. This may continue (every time the car is started) for days, or weeks, and then it resolves of its own accord, with no predictability. The safety issue is that if something really *IS* wrong with one of these systems, we would be unaware of it.

- #11727510March 27, 2026ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER
The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. While the contact’s son was driving at an undisclosed speed, several unknown warning lights illuminated with an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle. The driver depressed the accelerator pedal, but the vehicle failed to exceed 15 MPH. The failure persisted while driving to the residence. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed with turbocharger failure, caused by engine oil and gasoline dilution, which created a thick sludge in the engine. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000.

- #11727580March 27, 2026SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
The vehicle automatically and suddenly slammed on the brakes when a deflated mylar balloon floated across my lane. It braked hard for several seconds then released the brakes as the balloon cleared my lane. I felt like I had no control of the vehicle until the brakes released. The car following closely behind me could have hit me, since there was no apparent reason to brake. I have been unable to reach a service advisor at my dealership to report it. The vehicle has not been inspected since this incident. There were no warnings prior to the incident.

While driving warning light blink indicating electronic emergency brake issue, unable to drive because the brake set and would not release. After a while it released and drove to Honda dealership for a diagnosis. They stated it was a failed head gasket and due to this failure it leaked coolant onto the spark plugs, all had to be replaced and the estimated cost $5,500. It's a 2021 Honda CRV hybrid with 70,000 that has been well maintained. It should not have a failed head gasket. Upon researching this it appears this is a known issue for this vehicle, but Honda has not acknowledged. This is a very costly repair that is known by the manufacturer.

I was driving past a school zone at 20 mph, came to a stop to allow children to cross street, as I began my acceleration past the school crossing, I reached a 20mph speed again and my CRV activated the emergency braking system without having anything in front of me that could have activated the forward collision braking system. Luckily I was not rear ended.

I am experiencing intermittent loss of motive power. Without warning at highway speeds I get a flashing check engine light immediately before the loss of motive power occurs. Motive power can be restored by turning the ignition off and back on. However, this action also clears the check engine light and any fault codes that were set. I drive with a code reader in the car and have received a P0302 code. This has happened at least five times since May 2024. It is available for inspection. I have brought it into a Honda dealership for repairs, they have changed the fuel injectors and pistons and it is still occurring. I was told this time that they did not know what was wrong so they could not repair anything. The safety of myself, my husband, and my seven month old daughter was out at risk as it occurs when traveling over 55 miles/hour and we lose power. We have to try and navigate to the side of the road to turn on and off the car. This problem was reproduced by a dealer this last time it went into the shop and it is there currently. The vehicle has only been inspected by Keeler Honda in Latham, New York. There were no other warnings prior to this failure. It has occurred multiple times, May 2024, November 2024, Feb 2025, March 2026 I have a video of what happens but I cannot upload it. This is exactly what is happening in NHTSA Action Number: PE25016

I was driving on the freewayin the night time on several occasions and the Emissions light and check engine light comes on and the car lost speed and would not accelerate. I had to put my hazards on to exit the freeway slowly to pull over turn the car off, sometimes this corrects the problems. but this has happened on several occasions. the vehicle is now at the dealer being diagnostic, they end up keeping the vehicle and haven't told me yet what the issue is.

The driver assist system was flashing for over an hour when I was coming back to Ohio from Florida on [XXX]. It was flashing and for a few seconds it would go off. this happened a few times and then it busted stayed on. it said to take to dealer to get fixed. this happened about a year ago put only flashed on for a short time. There must be a problem with this system that Honda has. I have done some research and it seems this is a Honda problem with the CR-V. I have a 2023 CR-V.
