While driving, especially on the highway over the last few months, my steering has seemed to catch or stick to where you have to turn the wheel harder than you should have to in order to stay in the lane. It seems to be worse in warmer weather or on longer trips. Needless to say, both of these issues have created great safety concerns especially when trying to stay in my lane on a curve with a car next to me. After my husband did some research online he found out that there is already a recall (NHTSA Recall# 24V-744) for this "sticky steering" on the 22-25 Civic and 23-25 Honda CRV, HRV, and Acura Integra. I called the dealership and they said that although they know about this issue, since it is not under warranty, car has 60000 miles, and is not included in the recall, I would have to pay $120 for them to diagnose it. The serviceman recommended I fix it soon because it is a mechanical part that could fail causing a serious safety issue putting me and others on the road at risk. He said that I would have to pay the entire amount to fix it though since it is out of warranty and not included in the recall. Please encourage Honda to include the 2022 CRV in the recall!

My 2024 Honda CRV was part of the recall for potential steering gearbox issues. Recall repair took place on 4/2/2025. Steering problem has persisted ("sticky steering") and when I had the steering checked today (5/6/2026) during a regular maintenance appointment, I was notified entire steering gearbox assembly should be replaced. Upon further research I discovered this is an ongoing issue 2023-2024 Honda models due to improperly assembled gearbox components. The recall repair included a new spring and additional grease to the worm gear. This was clearly insufficient and the recall should include complete replacement of the steering gearbox assembly with a properly manufactured unit. I have included via upload copies of the recall repair and diagnosis of the problem and associated cost from today's regular maintenance.

The front radar sensor behind the emblem on the grill is very easily stolen due to a design flaw. It was stolen, replaced, and stolen a second time. This is happening so much that Honda can’t keep up with replacement parts, leading to service delays, which cause many people, including my pregnant wife and now new baby, to drive for weeks without critical safety features. This is unacceptable and Honda needs to issue a recall and provide a fix to the design flaw.

The front radar sensor (behind the H emblem on the front grill) was stolen. The car still drives, but all the safety features tied to it are now disabled. Honda service center wants $119 just to diagnose it. I was then quoted ~$1,500 for the part + ~$2,000 for labor (before tax). After looking into it, this seems to be happening frequently with CR-Vs. The radar sensor is externally accessible and can be removed in minutes. Thieves know this and it’s clearly becoming a trend. This feels like a design vulnerability for such a critical safety component. What’s worse is Honda won’t even provide a free estimate even though reprogramming has to be done through them anyway.

This vehicle is a 2019 Honda CR-V with less than 70,000 miles on it. Which is less than 10,000 miles a year. The steering wheel consistently sticks, gets jammed, or even locks while driving. The experience is mostly felt while making turns while driving. After taking into Honda of Kirkland in Kirkland, WA the service team confirmed that the rack and pinion need to be replaced. My safety, my family, and any other individual who is in the car while driving are and have been at risk since the steering wheel sticks and locks and is not operating correctly. Confirmed, the problem has been reproduced and confirmed by the Honda of Kirkland service team. The vehicle has been inspected by the service team at Honda of Kirkland. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the issue occurring. The problem started about a year or so ago and has progressively gotten worse over time. The vehicle has maintenance done on a regular basis and has never been in an accident. Honda of Kirkland and American Honda Motor Co., Inc. have denied a goodwill repair for this issue. Any help will certainly be appreciated.

My dealer won’t make the recall repair with the excuse the factory isn’t sending him the parts. That’s been his excuse for 2 years.

2017 Honda CRV Touring with VIN [XXX] . My son and daughter drove the car and all of a sudden all the lights started going off( it looks like Christmas lights). We got it scanned multiple times from different places where they have the scanner. It was showing P0304 Misfire #4 cylinder and U0401-68 ecm failure. We took it to the dealer and they found out the same code fuel injector needs to be replaced. I am single mom and didn't have the money to get it fix. Our car only had less than 21k. I stayed up to do more research online. Found out more about this common issues with same model. I contacted another dealer, explained my situation and he advised me to call honda corp to be added to the recall and mention goodwill. I immediately called the corporate but had to wait for their case mgr to get back with us. I asked my daughter to call the dealer where we got our car diagnosed, to ask svc advisor if it is safe to use the car and we were advised that it's ok to use. However my daughter was driving the car and all of a sudden it wasn't accelerating and only going around 5 miles per hour. She had to go back home and missed her classes. She was scared and I could just imagine how scary that was.How about if this happened when she was in the freeway? This could have caused a major accident. I don't understand why Honda only issued the recall to some cars with same model as ours if they already have lots of customers having same issue. I even read this issue was featured on ABC news. Honda did offer to help with lowering the fuel injector but I still have to pay $899.19 and around $204 for diagnosis. The svc advisor said they've been having a lot of same model cars coming in for fuel injector problems. I am reaching out hoping you can help direct us in getting the full reimbursement and hoping our car can be added to the recall so we can get reimburse.Honda should be fully liable for this due to known issue. Date below was one incident. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT

On 3/17/26, my husband and I started heading N on RT 83 to a medical appointment in our 2025 Honda CR-V Touring Sport. We were doing between 40 to 50 miles/hr. Twenty minutes later, we smelled faint smoke which was attributed to the trucks driving around us. Upon exit to our next route we immediately came to a red light and stopped and found heavy dark smoke coming from inside the front of our hood. We slowly moved to the R lane to get to a strip parking lot to move vehicle to a safe spot. When we finally found a safe parking a vehicle stopped to alert us of a noticeable fire at the bottom front of the Honda. We jumped out and 911 was called. By the time Police, followed by the Fire Dept, the front of my CR-V was engulfed by fire. I had just purchased this 2025 Touring Sport from Carmax 6 months earlier and it had just 7091 miles to it. My insurance and Honda were notified and claim and case #s were filed. Insurance offered a settlement but no word yet from Honda. Inspections were performed by both. Insurance inspectors report it as potential mechanical failure. Honda should offer reparations for the loss of my vehicle and placing our lives and those around us in danger.

I am reporting a Safety Recall Violation at Davis Honda [XXX] ). My 2023 CR-V was serviced for Recall 24-117. I was charged $175.66 for the alignment. Per Service Bulletin 24-117, this is a mandatory free part of the recall. Charging for a safety recall is a federal violation. The steering hasn’t completely failed but it is not operating correctly. The steering wheel feels like it’s stuck in a detent or notch when going straight and takes a little bit of force to turn it left or right to make minor corrections. Then the change of direction is sudden not gradual, possibly impacting me and the traffic around me. It feels like I’m fighting against the Lane Departure system but there are no warning lights coming on . When it moves out of the “notch” the steering feels somewhat heavy. This, so far, has been an intermittent issue, but a very disturbing one. I’ve been to the dealership with it but everything seems normal when I go in. This all started at just over 42,000 miles. Everything points to the electronic rack and pinion beginning to fail, as hundreds of 2017- 2019 CR-V owners have indicated. There seems to be a system failure on these cars. A very important system but no recall from Honda???

The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact was driving at an undisclosed speed, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with failed fuel injectors due to failed supply fuel pipes. The contact was informed that the four fuel injectors and the four fuel supply pipes needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact referenced a recall NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V442000 (Fuel System Gasoline) however the contact's VIN was not associated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 71,000.

I am the second owner of this vehicle. Upon purchase, i chose to purchase all extended warranties so that I had minimal out of pocket costs to maintain and repair my vehicle. I had the vehicle maintained regularly at LaFontaine Honda in Dearborn. A couple days before my scheduled service in December 2025, several warning lights became lit on the dash. I called the LaFontaine Honda, expressed my concerns and asked if I could bring the vehicle in immediately. I brought the vehicle in on December 3, 2025, and after several hours of diagnostics, it was determined that the engine needed to be replaced. Vehicle mileage was 121,766 and I was informed that the warranty expired at 120,000. Tried to call Honda for assistance and they stated there was no assistance available, I would have to pay for the repairs. This Dealer serviced my vehicle the entire time that I owned it for 2 1/2 years. I purchased all extended warranties, and they would not help me. They only said they would put me in another vehicle put the negative equity in my new car loan. I was then ghosted by the service manager and sales manager. I had to go elsewhere and pay $8,595.76 for a used engine. I paid for the extended warranty and when I really needed it, Honda failed me.

A known common issues that Honda are not addressing: car going limp randomly, oil dilution, head gasket failure causing fuel injector issues, dashboard lighting up which causes the safety features to also cease from operating. I have multiple times now with my 4 year old in the car been in traffic and my car has just stopped going unprovoked. This limp mode issue a huge safety issue and has almost caused me to wreck multiple times. This started around 70k miles.

Every summer, on particularly hot days—typically after driving for about 10 minutes—the steering wheel feels as if it is jammed; turning it becomes extremely stiff and difficult. However, when the weather cools down, the steering becomes perfectly smooth again, with no issues whatsoever. Since my English proficiency is limited, I visited the dealership's service department; unfortunately, because the weather happened to be cool at the time, they were unable to detect any problems during their inspection.
