[XXX] is the VIN. AIRBAGS DID NIT DEPLOY I was driving 77 mph on i80 near [XXX] . Another vehicle, a Chevy Malibu, left the left lane of traffic and drove on the median. This driver over corrected when her speed was 83 mph. I hit her broadside (Tbone) in the b pillar dead center on the my front of my CRV. My airbags did not deploy. I received a broken sternum from hitting the steering wheel. USAA did not investigate, just saw the photos and totalled the CRV. The Chevy Malibu had all the airbags deploy. My car has under 6,000 mi on it. I bought it new and it has had this problem from the start. The TPMS alarms time after time. I go through all the routine of checking the tires and resetting the alarm system as per the manual. It might stay off for 10 mi or for 100 mi, but for sure it will come back on, and when the tires are checked, they are OK. So I reset it again and repeat the process. I have taken it to the dealer 5 times for this issue and have another appointment scheduled for next week. Twice they just reset it without checking me into the service dept. 3 times they checked it into the shop and worked on it. They called the Honda corp and ask them what to do, and were told to balance the tires. That actually worked for a while, but the problem just came back. When the monitoring system goes off, we don't know if it is for real or not. We won't leave town with the car because of that. If we disregard the alarm, it might be that we actually have a low or flat time and could have an accident or even be killed. I virtually won't leave town with the car because I don't know when or if it is giving me good information, and also.... EVERY time it happened, I MUST stop and check all the tires air pressure and then reset the system. I think that this is a dangerous issue.

After the low-pressure fuel pump recall repair was performed on my 2018 Honda CR-V at Doggett Honda Med Center on March 6, 2026, the vehicle began experiencing a serious and repeated loss-of-power condition. The vehicle suddenly loses power without warning. This happens with no clear pattern, at highway speeds and also at low speeds. The engine does not shut off, but the vehicle loses the ability to accelerate normally. In some situations, it does not have enough power to safely reach the shoulder, leaving me exposed in traffic. This has now happened multiple times and has become more frequent. I have already narrowly avoided at least three serious rear-end collisions while trying to move the vehicle out of traffic. Yesterday, the vehicle lost power again and a police unit had to escort me so I could safely move the vehicle to the side. When I turn the vehicle off and restart it, it temporarily returns to normal, but the problem keeps coming back. This makes the vehicle unsafe and unreliable for normal use. The vehicle is my work vehicle, and I depend on it for transportation. I am now unable to work normally or travel safely because I do not know when the vehicle will suddenly lose power again. This condition places my life and the lives of my passengers at risk. I contacted both the dealership and American Honda Corporate. However, my safety concern has been minimized, and I was told that I would have to pay for diagnosis, even though this problem began after Honda performed recall work on the fuel system. I am reporting this because this is a serious safety issue. A vehicle that suddenly loses power in traffic, without warning, creates a real risk of collision, injury, or death. Honda should properly investigate whether the recall repair, fuel pump system, connectors, wiring, or related fuel delivery components caused or contributed to this dangerous condition.

Cylinder 2 and 4 misfire, that will cause all the sensor lights to come on and the vehicle will stall out. Doesn't matter if driving 15 mph or 55 mph, it will just stall.

- #11737331May 12, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
My body control module (BCM) seems to have failed on my 2018 Honda CRV, my first indication was my alarm going off and me being unable to enter my vehicle with my key fob. Once I manually unlocked the car with the embedded key inside the key fob, I was unable to turn off my instrument cluster or lights by hitting the start switch of the car. I then turned on the car and was unable to turn off the car. My instrument cluster reported a key fob error. I replaced my batteries in both my key fobs, and that did not fix the problem. The only way I was able to turn off my vehicle was by disconnecting the battery and removing a relay to force it to turn off. Apparently, this is a known issue, and according to many online forums, there are many people experiencing this exact issue yet there has not been a recall to address this so the cost has been placed on the consumer. My car is currently at the dealership pending a $1000 plus repair where I believe this repair should be covered by Honda in a safety recall.

- #11737484May 12, 2026LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
COMPONENTS: Forward Collision Avoidance, Lane Keeping Support, Electronic Power Steering. INCIDENT: On 05/12/2026, upon vehicle startup, a total failure of the driver-assist safety suite occurred. Dashboard indicators displayed malfunctions for: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keeping Assistance (LKAS), and a "Steering Wheel Malfunction" warning. The vehicle was inspected at Greeley Honda on the same day (Mileage: ~56k). The dealership confirmed the front radar sensor, located behind the emblem, is defective. Despite no evidence of external impact or damage, the dealership quoted $3,900 for a total replacement of the grille, emblem, and sensor. SAFETY RISK: The failure has completely disabled the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), removing the vehicle's ability to provide emergency autonomous braking. The accompanying "Steering Wheel Malfunction" indicates an error in the Electronic Power Steering (EPS) torque sensor or LKAS integration, which creates a risk of unpredictable steering assistance. These failures, combined with a cascade of distracting warning lights, pose an unreasonable safety risk during operation. REMEDY SOUGHT: The dealership failed to explain the internal cause of failure or why a cosmetic grille replacement is required to fix a safety sensor. I am seeking a manufacturing investigation. American Honda has not offered a remedy for this critical safety component failure. This appears to be a premature failure of a non-wear item that renders primary safety systems inoperable. I have consented to share my contact information with the manufacturer to facilitate a resolution.

- #11737405May 12, 2026TIRES
My passenger side rear tire exploded off of the vehicle as I was driving 75mph down XXX. I was fortunate to be able to bring the car under control and get it out of the path of traffic. I could have been killed by this tire failure and loss of control. I had the vehicle towed to the Honda dealership in [XXX] . They told me I must have hit something. I absolutely did not hit anything that day or any other day. It was a clear, dry, sunny day. I was not in any road construction, and there was no debris on road. In addition the tire pressure warning light did not come on either before or after the tire exploded. I believe this was a failure as well. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Not on my car. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The only inspection was by the dealer at the time of repair. While driving on the Interstate, the sunroof shattered. The middle section was completely shattered with glass remaining on the edges. I attempted to contain the remaining pieces by putting duct tape across the whole top. Further down the highway the entire sunroof blew off the vehicle. Not only was this frightening for me, it could have been a real hazard for anyone behind me. Luckily traffic was light and no one was driving directly behind.

Steering sticks/locks while driving requires excessive input. Feels like the lane departure is controlling the steering and fighting you for control. There is a recall for the same issue but our VIN is not included. Honda needs to re-evaluate to expand RECALL as this appears to apply to more than the original recalled VIN’s.
