The contact owns a 2018 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering was inoperable. The contact stated that the steering failed to function as intended. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed rack and pinon and stabilizer link. The contact was informed that the rack and pinion and the stabilizer link needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 16,000.

When I was driving my new 2023 Honda Civic Touring’s the engine started running rough and the check light indicators came on with the following items to “See your dealer” despite this car being less than 3 months old and with just over 1,000 miles on the odometer: - Brake System Problem… - Electric Power Steering System Problem… - Electric Parking Brake System Problem… - Tire Pressure Monitor System Problem… - Emission System Problem… Some of these above items negatively affect the safe operation of the vehicle and increase risk to the occupant(s). After coordinating with the Honda dealership where we purchased this Civic and the Honda Roadside Assistance, they towed our disabled Civic to the closest Honda dealership. A Honda Service Advisor informed us our Civic had a major engine issue (cracked engine block) which was a manufacturer's defect. After 36 days they completed the major warranty repairs totaling over $6,000 (primarily replaced the engine short block which eliminated the above listed issues). It should be noted, the two local Honda dealerships and Honda Roadside Assistance (1-800-864-5211) were very professional and helpful. However, to our surprise the American Honda Motor Co, Inc; Honda Automotive Customer Service, [XXX] ) has been unresponsive. The contact owns a 2022 Honda Civic. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed and turning, the screen displayed Emission System Failure and power might be reduced messages. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the vapor canister needed to be replaced due to moisture inside the canister. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 2,948.

AIR BAGS
Was in a car accident [XXX] and air never deployed instead a warning starting flashing saying something was wrong with my air . I was in 3 car pile up and terrain truck went under my car and slung it around cause me to hit the bridge and it bent there entire metal frame when u looked under it the doors where not even ànd hatch back was jammed with huge gap between it and the car it cause the front windshield to become detached from the glue holding it in place u could see little shavings of Glass all the way around and if u pushed it would move the back of the car was higher than the front due to impact and being bent the entire car u could tell was bent from half way to back . The air bag should have deployed I was hit 2x and the 3rd hit was me coming from the air and slamming back down all 3 hits where very hard. The light continued to come on and off staying issue with air bags afterwards but came on for the first time during the wreck stating it is why it did not deploy because there was a critical malfunction and caused it to not deploy on either sides i was told to report this to Honda but do not know how I have tried since the wreck can you plz Check these car. Steering feel sticky while driving or at idle. I feel resistance while turning the wheel. At stop if I slowly turn the wheel you can definitely feel it being sticky. I have take the car to the dealership and as usual they told me it's normal. They are many many other people who have same complaint. There should be a recall.

For several months, the steering wheel has been sticking (slightly left and right of center) when traveling at highway speeds. It’s almost feels like we have to push it past a break point. The car was just serviced approx two weeks ago, and no issues were reported by the dealer. They did not drive it at highway speeds, so we assume they only checked for codes. This is of concern, as the car is driven through mountains often and the need to make subtle turns n the steering wheel are essential. The issue requires extra effort to keep the car straight between lines. The car could be made available for inspection with prior notice.

Paint and trim are deteriorating and deformed, melting, disintegrating in 9 areas of 3 sides of the car. The car is only 1 year old. Both front mirrors are melting and deformed and mirrors difficult to adjust now. Bumper trim is melting and deformed. Windshield molding is curling up and deformed. Paint is bubbling up around these areas. Dealer inspected it and confirmed the damage and said Honda knows about since 2019 and this is happening to newer Hondas it but will not do anything about it. We are concerned about the integrity of the windshield to keep air and water out and front bumper integrity with the deformed plastic trim over it. We have pictures and videos, but your website upload function is not working.

I have a steering wheel that sticks at highway speeds around 50-70 mph while driving straight, my steering wheel sticks. The honda dealership says it's fine. I believe they greased something during my recall inspection that made my steering not as noticeable. He said everyone has sticky steering but that honda has no fix. My tires are balding at an extreme rate and very uneven wear. I have been arguing with the dealership and have given up. I also have a valve cover that is leaking oil. My car has 35k miles

SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
On multiple occasions, at least 10, my automatic braking detector system has engaged when no other cars were in front of me or around me on the road. It has happened while driving in the city at slow speeds, on the highway at 70-80mph, and most recently while going up ramp to merge onto interstate. The automatic brakes will engage causing my car to slightly brake and I then have to accelerate, especially while on the interstate, to keep the car moving or else it could just stop in the middle of the road with a potential to cause a deadly accident. My cruise control no longer works either. I wonder if these issues are synonymous? My safety and the safety of others is definitely at risk with my car randomly braking with no cars in front of me or next to me. The vehicle routinely gets inspected at my Honda dealership every 6-8 months when I get my oil changed and they have not reported any issues. There have been no warnings on the car prior to these incidents happening. This car has no accidents and currently has 30,000 miles. I would estimate the car had about 28,000 miles when the last incident happened while going up the interstate ramp. The braking system malfunction started at the beginning of 2023 from my knowledge.

TIRES:PRESSURE MONITORING AND REGULATING SYSTEMS
In April 2021, I hit went over a large pothole that caused me to get an immediate flat tire on my driver's left front tire (the TPMS system alerted me of low tire pressure). I had the tire replaced. Had no issues until 9/2021 when my TPMS system alerted me that my tire pressure was low. Front left tire was at 26, had problem diagnosed at same tire repair place and they sealed my rim on driver's front left tire. Did not have any more issues until 2022 (unsure of date) but frequently my TPMS system light comes on indicating low tire pressure. I always check tire pressure with gauge at home and my tires are never lower than 29 when I check (front two are supposed to be at 32 and back two are supposed to be at 33). I also live in a warm climate year round. In 2023, my TPMS system alerts me of low tire pressure approximately every 2-3 months when my tires in fact do not have low tire pressure. In the month of December, every time I turn my car on, my TPMS system alerts me of low tire pressure, but they are all normal. I always recalibrate the TPMS system when I get that system alert, but it does not seem to help. My car currently has 30,000 miles and no accidents. I am concerned for the safety of this vehicle in regards to when I may actually have low tire pressure, but because of these frequent and unreliable TPMS alerts I get, I may not recognize if it the tire were actually low while driving. I get my car inspected routinely every 6-8 months when I got my oil changed by the Honda dealership and they have not reported any issues.

2nd attempt. I went to download pictures and was kicked out of site. 2017 Honda Civic EX Sedan bought used 2021. So far I've needed 2 new batteries in a very short amount of time. Multiple warning lights are appearing when I start car. Charging System Problem, Power Steering System (EPS) Problem, Charging System Problem, Hill Start Assist Problem, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) Problem, Brake Hold System Problem. Yes, charging System Problem was showing twice. Available for inspection. Yes, my safety is at risk, I'm afraid and paranoid on what else could happen while I'm driving. I'm afraid to drive my car for my own safety. You know Honda, my Life matters too! I've went online and read others with similar problems from used to brand new, going into Limp mode not being able to drive over 40 mph and myself being severely inconvenienced with my JOB. Dealership appt this Tuesday. Occurances: Nov 13 12:32 pm 12.19 TWICE 12.21 Once 12.26.23 9:39am AND 11:23am AND 1:10pm 1.2.24 10:21 am 1.4.24 11:42 am AND 12:34 pm 1.5.24 11:13 am 1.6.24 11:37 am brake light came on, binging, then went away. 1.6.24 12:12pm. This is happening almost everyday now. Thank you!!

My apologies, I just filled out a form (Your Complaint Number: 11563943) and forgot to add problems with AC with my 2017 Honda Civic EX Sedan. My AC went out, went to local dealership, they recharged this around August 2023 I believe. Good now, but my point is I'd ask how long this will last. They said they don't know. I'm like a day, week, month(s)? Again they couldn't say. I live in a very warm area during the Summer, need AC and I need a cool AC environment when driving. I think I deserve to be comfortable. At the dealership, I had mentioned about a Honda recall letter I received about AC. It was either the Compressor or Condenser that is recalled, I forget. Well, they stated after looking at my car, that it was the item that isn't covered. Bill would be close to $1,000.00, I believe. Come on. I find this shady, confusing and concerning with Honda. Thank you again for your help!!! Yes my Life is at risk with this as well. Again, my Life matters also! This is my 4th Honda and I never had so many things go sideways with the last three Hondas as I'm experiencing now with this 2017 Civic EX. This is just ridiculous. Just about fed up with Honda.

Starting from low speeds, you have constantly correct the steering. As you are driving, the steering automatically motions to the right. This causes u to correct the steering constantly, even at low speeds. Speeds of 45, it becomes dangerous.

Driving down the high way at about 55-60 miles an hour went to overtake a vehicle and brake system light, and flashing parking brake late came on all systems such as cruise control, lane mitigation, lane keep assist, brake assist and reduced braking performance messages came up on the dash about the foruth time this happens, had gone to the dealer before for the same issue.
