Was driving home from work and the engine light came on. Shortly after the stabilitrak warning light came on followed by the reduced engine power warning. I had a GM dealer work on why the engine light came on while the car was still under warranty and i thought that would have fixed it. I have been reading on articles how the engines in these models are defective and consumes a lot of oil. I always have to add oil in between changes. I had a mechanic look at my car and run a diagnostic and basically the pistons need replacing...due to the defective engine. I feel the engine repairs that will be needed should be covered.

Vehicle began to hesitate and then became disabled. A large amount of oil was evident under the vehicle and continued to leak. It was apparent that the rear seal had blown out. Vehicle was towed to a GMC dealership and confirmed problem. Another mechanic informed us of a recall on these engines but this has yet to be confirmed with the dealership after nearly 3 weeks of it being there.

Timing chain malfunction that burned through oil causing the engine to seize. No engine light indicators were displayed in regards to this issue. The issue escalated quickly with signs showing only 2 days before the engine finally seized & leaking oil into engine bay. It is also noted that the engine oil has had many reported leaks into fuel tanks & other areas of the car.

In 10 degree weather after warming the car up and driving 15 miles began noticing exhaust smell but wasn't sure it was my car. No warning lights. Arrived at destination parking lot and car began to run rough and stall out and only then did engine light and oil pressure light come on. Strong exhaust/gas smell. Stranded in frigid weather with passenger in a wheelchair. Had car towed to dealer- pvc port plugged causing oil pressure to blow out rear main seal losing all oil causing damage to the engine and components. Warning lights did not come on until damage was done. Discovered it was a known issue with this engine and class action lawsuit has been filed. Was fortunate we were not on the road when this happened.

Just purchased this vehicle has about 64500 miles on it. When accelerating between 40-55 (hard acceleration) my vehicle wobbles really bad, seems like a tire issue. Have had the front end looked at, and tires all balanced and inspected. Noting out of the ordinary. Then all of a sudden my rear view back up camera works, but my back up assist symbols are not showing/working. I checked the settings and they are turned on. To top off the cake, when the weather is cold outside my windshield wiper fluid will not spray from the front windshield or rear, then when it warms up or is parked in a garage it works again. I have made sure the correct wiper fluid is added as well so it does not freeze. But apparently it is getting stuck somewhere......
