The car stalled while traveling down a road. We tried to restart and it would run for a few seconds and stall. We could not restart. There were no warning lights before the stall and after the engine would not run to get any other indicators that something was wrong. Had it towed to dealership, their diagnostic's showed it was a fuel pump driver module. Upon researching the issue, there is a recall for this problem but my VIN was not included in the recall.

My car wouldn’t start in my driveway.. onstar sent me an email with code P129F ( fuel pump driver control module) failed. I am thankful I wasn’t driving down the highway when it went out. My husband took it to Lexington Park Chevrolet Buick GMC dealership, where we bought the car and they replaced the part. My car only has 41,898 miles. My VIN #: [XXX] , a 2022 GMC Terrain Denali. I noticed online that other 2022 GMC Terrain has a recall on this part, but not my VIN #. I feel my vehicle should also be part of this recall. My car stalled and did not want to start. It had to be towed to the nearest GMC dealership. my GMC dealer diagnosed a P129F fuel-pump control-module failure and replaced fuel-pump power control module part number 13554821. I was told that even though there was a recall for 2022 GMC Terrains for this part my VIN number was not included.

Read • 9:59 PM I am formally requesting a VIN eligibility review under GM Customer Assistance Case #XXX. Vehicle: 2022 GMC Terrain VIN: [XXX] DTC: P129F Recall: N252516900 – Fuel Pump Power Control Module I was advised that my VIN is “not included” in the recall. I am requesting that GM reconsider and formally document the basis for that determination. GM’s XXX revision of N252516900-01 states that the phased launch was complete and that all VINs had been placed in an Open status in GM’s Investigate Vehicle History (IVH) system. The bulletin specifically identifies the 2022 GMC Terrain as an affected model. Additionally, GM previously issued engineering information specifically concerning 2022 GMC Terrain vehicles experiencing DTC P129F, including situations involving failure to start and/or stalling. Because my vehicle experienced P129F, I am requesting: A formal VIN eligibility review for N252516900. Confirmation of what GM’s IVH system shows for VIN [XXX]. A written explanation of why my VIN is excluded if GM determines it is not eligible. Documentation of my P129F failure under Case #XXX. Review of whether my vehicle’s failure is consistent with the condition addressed by N252516900. Review of reimbursement eligibility for any qualifying repairs or expenses associated with this failure. Please do not close Case #XXX until this VIN-specific review has been completed and the basis for GM’s determination has been provided. I am requesting that this matter be escalated to the appropriate GM technical/recall authority if Customer Assistance cannot resolve the VIN eligibility issue. Thank you. My 2022 GMC Terrain left me on the side of the road today with a fuel pump module failure. After having it towed to the dealership I began looking to see if this is a known problem. I see that there was a recall for the 2022 GMC Terrain, but my VIN is not listed on that recall. MY FUEL PUMP MODULE FAILED! I think that my VIN was left off of recall list. GMC should pay to repair this!

The contact owns a 2026 GMC Terrain. The contact stated that after a software update was performed, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the message "Departure Lane Limited due to the Trailer" was displayed. The failure affected the blind spot warning system. The warning light failed to display while approaching a vehicle on the blindside and erroneously operated while there were no vehicles on the side of the vehicle. Additionally, the "Rear Cross Traffic Warning" light was affected by the failure. The vehicle experienced hard braking while there was no other vehicle nearby. The dealer was contacted and diagnosed the vehicle with sensor failure caused by an impact to the sensor. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 11,350.

I was driving about 55 mph with adaptive cruise control set to maintain a three-car-length following distance. It was raining, and when the vehicle in front of me slowed down, my vehicle did not detect it or slow down as expected. Instead, it continued accelerating, and I had to brake to avoid rear-ending the vehicle ahead.

- #11748269July 4, 2026STEERING, WHEELS, POWER TRAIN
This vehicle was bought new and is a NEW 2026 GMC TERRAIN DENALI with less than 5,000 miles at this time. It is a continuous event and not a specific failure date, but began soon after purchasing. The specific parts are UNKNOWN. It could be tires, wheels, steering parts (CV JOINTS, CONTROL ARMS ETC) or possibly transmission. I took it initially to the purchasing dealership and they took it for a ride and just dismissed the problem without investigating. Several days later I called and talked to the person who sold me the SUV and was told either him or service manager or both would call me, but neither did so. They were to set up a return date. After this insulting experience I decided to take it to a Cadillac dealer that I have had great experience with in the past. They took it for a ride and did experience the problem and investigated what they thought could be causing the SUV to wobble, shimmy, or shaking sensation. This Cadillac dealer said there investigation showed nothing wrong and returned the vehicle to me and said nothing could be done unless GM gave them permission. Next I wrote to the service manager expressing my disappointment in nothing being done and my disappointment in General Motors. There is a Service Bulletin (Document ID: PIT6466). This makes four efforts on my part to get satisfaction with this 2026 GMC TERRAIN DENALI and how it is not fun to drive and there is anxiety on the safety of the vehicle when being driven. *Now for the problem I am experiencing with this 2026 GMC TERRAIN DENALI. There is the sensation of a “wobble, shimmy, or shaking” under low to moderate acceleration when going straight or turning. It could be tires, wheels, steering parts or power train. It is difficult to tell. Sometimes the sensation is as if the wheels will fall off. This is an awful feeling and gives you the feeling the SUV is not safe and it is not fun to drive at all.* Why do I have to drive a brand new expensive SUV and feel unsafe and not enjoy do so?

Formal Safety Complaint – 2021 GMC Terrain Brake Failure Vehicle: 2021 GMC Terrain Incident Location: Garden State Parkway (NJ) Speed: Approximately 65 mph Incident Description While driving northbound at highway speed, I attempted to change lanes and apply my brakes. When I pressed the brake pedal, it became completely rigid (rock hard) and failed to function. I had no ability to slow the vehicle using normal braking. At that moment, I was forced to: Navigate multiple emergency lane changes to avoid striking other vehicles Prepare for potential collision due to lack of braking control Apply extreme force with both feet on the brake pedal in an attempt to generate any slowing Eventually, I was able to steer the vehicle to the shoulder while exerting maximum pressure on the brake pedal. During the incident, a “Driving Assist Brake” message appeared on the dashboard, and the braking system has remained in this same compromised condition since. Safety Concerns The brake pedal became non-functional without warning The failure occurred at highway speed, creating an immediate life-threatening situation This was not a gradual degradation—this was a sudden, complete loss of braking capability The issue persisted after the vehicle was stopped Broader Concern I have since found multiple reports and videos of other GMC Terrain owners experiencing the exact same failure, suggesting a potential systemic or design-related issue. Given: The severity of braking system failure The apparent repeat nature of this issue The lack of an active recall addressing it I believe this represents a significant safety risk to GMC Terrain drivers and the public. Impact This incident caused: Immediate danger to my life and other drivers Extreme emotional distress Loss of confidence in the safety of the vehicle Requested Action I am requesting: A formal investigation into this braking failure Immediate inspection and repair of my vehicle at no cost Clarification from GMC regarding know
