SummaryFord and Lincoln vehicles equipped with wired keyless entry keypad systems and accessory wireless keyless entry keypad systems may or may not come with a wallet card containing the master code. Unlike the integrated wired keypad, the accessory wireless keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool or from the label printed on the body control module (BCM). The Factory Keyless Entry Code application within the diagnostic scan tool will not provide an applicable master code for the accessory wireless keypad. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is not available, the "Wireless RF Keypad Diagnosis Guide" can be referenced and provides direction on how to retrieve the master code. This guide is located under the Workshop Manual tab > Accessories > Installation > Wireless RF Keypad Diagnosis Guide > PPT C > Step C2.<br /><br /> Note: The only available keypad for some vehicles from the assembly plant is the accessory wireless keyless entry keypad. The integrated wired keypad cannot be installed on vehicles not equipped from the factory with a wired keyless entry k

SummaryAll accessory stick-on keyless entry keypads come with a wallet card containing the master code. If the accessory keypad was factory installed, this card will be placed in the glove box and should be handed to the vehicles owner during initial delivery. Unlike the integrated (wired) factory keypad, the accessory keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is lost, follow these steps to recover the code. Dealer Key Code access is granted through the Dealer Program Enrollment System (DPES); dealership management can authorize users. The authorized user must go to FMCDealer.com > Parts and Service > Parts Product Line Information > Keys/Entry Devices > Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Follow the instructions on the screen to obtain the master code for the accessory keypad.

Summary2024 F-Super Duty vehicles are equipped with XL-22 (WSS-M2C184-A1) high temperature power steering fluid that looks like clear hydraulic fluid. This fluid is an improvement in high temperature and thermal oxidative stability compared to Mercon LV. This power steering fluid is also compatible and highly recommended to use when filling or topping off power steering systems of all 2012-2023 F-Super Duty vehicles originally equipped with Mercon LV.

Summary2011-2023 F-Super Duty and 2016-2024 F-650/F-750 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an elevated idle condition. During prolonged idle time, vehicles may experience this elevated idle to reduce unburned hydrocarbons from the SCR. The powertrain control module estimates hydrocarbon levels in the SCR and may increase idle speed to remove them. Idle speed will be increased to 1000 RPM for ambient temperatures near 26°C (80°F) and may increase to 1200 RPM at -40 °C (-40°F). Vehicles may exhibit exhaust smoke and diesel exhaust fluid smell during elevated idle condition. Exhaust smoke and smell condition will not affect reliability or durability of the engine. Power take-off (PTO) use and idle set point control will disable elevated speed. It is required that the operator monitor the vehicle and adhere to any Exhaust Filter warning messages.

SummaryFor 2000-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, swapping a module from a vehicle for diagnosis purposes is likely to cause errors and is not recommended. It is also not recommended to order a replacement module using a vehicle identification number (VIN) from a different vehicle. Most modules on these affected vehicles are VIN/vehicle specific and hardware variations between modules do exist. Swapping a module from a vehicle or ordering a module using a different vehicle/VIN can cause ineffective repairs and additional vehicle down time. Make sure all appropriate Workshop Manual (WSM) procedures are followed when diagnosing the condition prior to all module replacements and only order modules using the correct VIN.

SummaryIt has been discovered that some hydraulic lines installed by Altec may be in contact with chassis air brake line(s). Some DOT inspections have considered this to be a violation of federal regulation 49 CFR § 393.45 b 2. Over time, chafing of the air brake line(s) could result in loss of air pressure and reduction in braking performance. Altec requires the routing of the hydraulic lines to be inspected no later than the next periodic maintenance interval. The affected unit are some T40P cable placers installed on Ford F750 chassis from May 2015 to January 2020

SummarySome 2015-2016 F-Super Duty pickup vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P24A0 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to various strategies within the PCM software. To correct the condition, follow the service procedure to reprogram the PCM.

SummarySome 2015-2019 F-Super Duty and 2016-2019 F-650/F-750 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an oil leak from the oil filter, crankcase vent oil separator, oil cooler, upper/lower oil pan. This may be due to a clogged crankcase vent oil separator and/or a sealing concern. Do not remove/replace the engine front cover for upper oil pan leaks. Do not check for warpage on the upper oil pan. When the upper oil pan is not bolted to the vehicle, it has a natural tendency to twist slightly due to the manufacturing process for the pan and will not result in an oil leak. The Workshop Manual (Section 303-00 > Diagnosis and Testing > Engine > Engine Oil Leaks) provides information on the usage of fluorescent oil dye to locate the source of an oil leak. Refer to GSB Oil Leaks Weeps And Seeps for more oil leak diagnosis. Continue to monitor OASIS for updates.

SummaryVarious 2013-2019 vehicles may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P264F after powertrain control module (PCM) replacement. This DTC indicates that the engine serial number (ESN) must be programmed into the PCM. The ESN is located on PTS> OASIS> Features> Engine Serial Number. Once the ESN is obtained from the historical vehicle bill of materials (HvBOM), it can be programmed into the PCM using the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. Navigate to the toolbox tab> powertrain menu> Service Functions> ESN.

SummarySome 2015-2017 vehicles may experience a no crank concern due to a security access key table error. When attempting to program keys or perform a parameter reset, the procedure may fail and the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) scan tool may display an error 232: Key Table Not Allocated. If this error message is encountered, the Body Control Module (BCM) is internally faulted and requires replacement. For claiming, use causal part 15604 and applicable labor operations in section 10 of the Service Labor Times Standards (SLTS) manual.

SummarySome 2013-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with only DTC P2074 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). Instead perform a MAF parameter reset under: Toolbox > Powertrain > Service Functions > Reset/Clear Specified Function > Reset/Clear Functions > MAF Sensor. Engineering is investigating. SummaryWhen performing diagnostics for DTCs P2201, P2452, P2459, P246C and/or P2463, a manual regeneration and diesel particulate filter (DPF) parameter reset using the appropriate scan tool may need to be performed. To perform the manual regeneration, go to the Toolbox tab > Powertrain > Service Functions > Diesel Particulate Regeneration System > DPF Manual Regeneration. The scan tool may indicate that a regeneration of the DPF is not recommended at this time, selecting YES on this screen will allow the regeneration process to complete. To perform the DPF parameter reset, go to the Toolbox tab > Powertrain > Service Functions > Diesel Particulate Regeneration System > DPF Parameter Reset.
