While driving my truck, I attempted a merge onto interstate 80, and completely lost power. I was accelerating to merge, and when the transmission shifted the truck lost all power. This is a dangerous situation and should be addressed. I cannot believe that nothing is being done about the issue, and Ford knows about this, as my local dealership is months out on transmission repairs.. It would sure be great if the agency responsible for forcing a recall would work for us..

For lighting, model came with the quad beam and headlight would often malfunction leaving headlights stuck in the low position and high beams not usable. For power train, the 10 speed would cause sharp jolts and shifts that is not normal for regular driving. Very abrupt jolts that make operating vehicle unsafe to drive in traffic. Vehicle began experiencing these symptoms around 25k miles and dealership mentions these issues aren’t a big problem.

I purchased a brand new Metallic Blue 2022 Ford F150 XLT Supercrew FX4 Off Road edition from Greenway Ford in Orlando, FL on [XXX] I traded in a blue 2014 Ford F150 XLT that I had owned for 10 years and was for the most part, a reliable vehicle that I loved. The odometer on the new F150 read ~124 miles on it at the time of purchase. After several months into owning the vehicle the rear passenger window malfunctioned and would not go up. I took it to Greenway Ford and they repaired it in a day under warranty and I didn’t think anything of it. As we entered the Florida rainy season the truck developed a very faint musty smell. After several weeks of hard rains at the beginning of November 2023, I started to hear water sloshing along the sides of the truck. After inspecting the carpets under the floor mats I found them to be completely soaked. I took the truck to Greenway Ford service center where they informed me that the windshield was not installed properly from the factory when the vehicle was built and has been accumulating water and not draining properly. I'm very concerned that there is mold in the vehicle as it still smells. The ABS sensors were also not calibrated. It started with the loss of Sirius, then intermittently maps, and now the radio is gone and my display on my dash goes black and restarts. I will be driving down the road (interstate) and all of my dash disappears. No speedometer at all. The APIM is out and Ford has no APIM's available. I took it to local Ford and they confirmed the APIM was out. It controls the whole truck and weird things have happened. Locks, seating changing, steering wheel changes. There is a case opened with Ford but apparently no timeline on fix.

Shifting gears is very hard with it often skipping over gears. When driving the vehicle will jerk or buckle when trying to shift. Transmission is the biggest issue with this vehicle and I seem to have a hard time getting Ford to recognize that.

Truck is not capable of intermittent temperature settings. It is either HOT or COLD. Setting manually to 63 degrees and it’s blowing 80 degree air. the final setting, towards the colder option is LO, and that blows ambient air, in this case cold. So. You options are COLD or HOT making maintaining a reasonable temperature in the cabin and clear windows impossible.

Loud vibration while driving, similar to passing over a rumble strip, believed to originate from IWES operating in colder weather. Fear of damage from grinding parts effecting operation of 4WD system.

Passenger side rear axle retainer bolt sheared off. My vehicle was manufactured 20 days after the existing recall. Repair was done under warranty but obviously should be included as part of the recall.

When moving the shift lever from Drive to Reverse, and physically feeling the two detents from Drive, through Neutral, and into Reverse, intermittently the shift lever will still indicate Neural and the vehicle will stay in Neutral even after two physical detents have been felt (i.e. the truck should indicate and be in Reverse after two physical detents). The truck and shift lever will stay in Neutral even after I remove my hand from the shift lever. The truck will only engage reverse after physically pressing the shift lever further forward within the physical Reverse detent area. There were no warnings on the dash and no trouble codes present within the system. The vehicle is available for inspection, and a video is available, however it is intermittently operating in this manner. When performing a 3-point turn on a roadway, this has led me to believe that my vehicle was engaged in Reverse, but it was in fact not, but in Neutral. This has introduced significant delay in what would otherwise be a safe maneuver and has put me and my occupants safety at risk. The local Ford dealership has updated the shift software, but it has continued to operate this same way intermittently. I have demonstrated this to the dealership service advisor and shown a video to the shop foreman, however the dealership is unwilling to replace the shifter because there is no trouble code. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other than the local Ford dealership.
