The instrument cluster on my vehicle has failed intermittently and/or completely, resulting in loss of speedometer visibility and loss of critical warning indicator information. This includes safety-related alerts necessary for driver awareness, such as warning lights and vehicle status indicators. Due to this failure, the vehicle is unsafe to operate because the driver cannot reliably monitor speed or receive safety warnings required for safe driving. A repair order was opened at a Ford dealership to address this issue. The vehicle is covered by an extended warranty provider, which approved a repair request related to the instrument cluster failure on December 16, 2024. The warranty provider further confirmed approval for instrument cluster replacement on December 22, 2024. These approvals confirm the defect was acknowledged and authorized for repair. Despite the safety defect remaining unresolved, the dealership closed the repair order. Ford corporate customer service has confirmed that the repair order shows as closed on their end, even though the instrument cluster failure has not been corrected and the vehicle remains unsafe to operate. Closing the repair order disrupted manufacturer responsibility tracking and reimbursement eligibility while the safety defect persists. As a result, I have incurred out-of-pocket expenses including towing, rental vehicle costs, and related transportation expenses. This instrument cluster failure constitutes a safety-related defect under DOT and NHTSA guidelines because it prevents safe operation of the vehicle. I am requesting manufacturer accountability and corrective action to ensure this safety defect is properly addressed and tracked.

- #11706853December 23, 2025ENGINE, POWER TRAIN, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
Description of Incident: The vehicle exhibits a severe and unpredictable transmission "shudder," "stutter," and hesitation during gear synchronization, specifically during 1st–3rd and 8th–10th gear transitions. This manifest as a violent "shaking" sensation and a loss of momentary acceleration while merging into high-speed traffic. This issue was first reported to an authorized Ford dealership on December 17, 2024. At that time, the vehicle exhibited harsh shifting and "shuddering" consistent with Ford Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 22-2428. Despite being under a 150,000-mile service contract, the dealer misdiagnosed the mechanical transmission defect as an engine misfire, resulting in ineffective repairs. The defect has persisted and worsened. The internal failure has been identified as a defective CDF Clutch Drum (Cylinder) where an internal bushing moves out of place, obstructing fluid flow and causing mechanical "slip." This is a known manufacturing defect documented in multiple Ford TSBs (22-2428, 23-2250, and 24-2101). Safety Risk: The failure causes unpredictable power delivery. On multiple occasions, the vehicle has hesitated or "stuttered" while attempting to merge onto highways or cross intersections, leaving the vehicle vulnerable to side-impact or rear-end collisions. The lack of consistent throttle response and the violent nature of the shifting creates a significant safety hazard for the driver and surrounding motorists. Verification/Inspection: The symptoms were reported to a Ford dealership multiple times. As of December 2025, the dealership has opened a formal case with the manufacturer to verify the internal "cause of failure" by the Shop Foreman. No warning lamps or Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) appeared on the dashboard, as the failure is a mechanical internal bushing slip that does not always trigger a software sensor until total failure occurs. The vehicle is available for inspection.

In November, shortly after engaging adaptive cruise control on [XXX] the truck indicated an incorrect speed limit of 45 mph and immediately started braking HARD causing a hazard on a busy roadway. I stomped on the gas trying to override the automation until I could disable the feature. This is a commonly reported issue on forums and local news reports ( [XXX] ) and does not appear to have a fix so I have not bothered to take it to the dealer. My windshield wipers were working on Dec 19th as we drove to the store. When we came back out the wipers or sprayer no longer worked. This caused extreme low visibility while driving on the street. Being an all electric vehicle I figured maybe it was a system malfunction. So I turned the car off to restart and still no fix. After doing some research and checking ford website I found an open recall#22S71, for 2022 Ford F150s(including lightnings, which is my car). The recall is for the wiper motor failing. I called to check if my car was under the recall and was informed that my VIN was not apart of that recall. I explained that it seemed like the same issue but was told it did not matter. I took the truck to an automotive electrical shop and they have confirmed that it is indeed my wiper motor has failed.

Recall #25S75 (Low pressure fuel pump failure) was issued in July of 2025 and has still not been resolved as of this date (12/23/25). I am filing a formal complaint with NHTSA about Ford Motor Company not resolving this issue in a timely manner. This appears to be a pattern with FMC regarding recalls, two previous of which took almost a year to remedy.

I purchased this vehicle from Ford about 2 months ago and brought it in for service over 4 weeks ago. The service department inspected the hub bolts and declared the vehicle unsafe to drive until the recall is completed due to sheered bolts. Although the recall says the parts are available, that is apparently not accurate. This is a huge safety issue and Ford put my family at risk when they decided to sell me this vehicle with the bolt issue and no parts available to remedy the situation. Ford customer service is telling me 3q2026. Manufacturer Recall Number23S65 NHTSA Recall Number23V896

The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at 20 MPH, the vehicle violently jerked while depressing the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal while coasting the vehicle to the shoulder of the highway. Despite the failure, the contact placed the vehicle in 4WD, and the vehicle resumed normal operation. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where a diagnostic test determined that the driver’s and passenger’s side rear axles had broken and caused the failure. The contact was then notified about NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V512000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact was provided a repair number by the dealer and was instructed to contact the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was notified several times about the recall, and the contact was later provided a case number. The vehicle was not repaired and remained with the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000.

I was notified that my Truck has a safety recall and immediately reported this to Frontier Ford via email on 8/18/25 per the service advisors request. Frontier Ford [XXX] [XXX] It's now been 4 months and I'm still waiting for the replacement part. I've been told by the service advisor that it is ok to drive my truck, unless I hear any noise from the axle. No inspections have been done. I'm concerned about safety I don't want to overreact, but at the same time it's been 4 months. Please advise. On 12/17/25, the low-pressure fuel pump failed on my 2022 Ford F-150 (VIN [XXX] ), exactly as described in safety recall 25S75. The vehicle will not start or run and is not drivable due to the failed fuel pump. I have been told there is no remedy currently available and Ford has declined alternate transportation assistance. - #11706100December 19, 2025EXTERIOR LIGHTING, LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION
Rear Taillight assembly filled with water due to a crack. The water caused the bulb to burn out. Dealer tried to get Ford to cover the taillamp and the manufacturer denied the claim stating the crack was not a flaw in manufacturing. The dealer also said that they have seen several of these where the manufacturer wont cover this component under the bumper to bumper warranty. This assembly has never been tampered with, the truck has not been in an accident. The failure of this taillight is likely caused by over torqueing at ASSY at the plant. Besides being costly this is a safety hazard when brake lights and taillights fail. Also..this assembly I find out houses the module for the blind spot monitor.

The hybrid battery in a 2021 Ford F-150 Powerboost failed due to apparent shorting. (P/N ML3Z-10B690-D) Pictures were taken by service department at the Ford dealership, and can be provided upon request. There is concern that the system could catch fire and spread under the vehicle. There have been other similarly identified failures reported in online communities, but cannot verify the information. Failed component is currently with dealership service department, therefore, cannot verify if there has been further inspection of part. Prior to failure, there were no indicators of problems or faults. As the failed part is not easily accessible and there is no routine maintenance, there is no way to validate when the part failed.
