re: Safety Recall 25S82/NHTSA Recall 25V512. I received this recall notice in August, 2025. Never received any more info. I contacted the Ford dealer here on February 2, 2026. I was told the axle parts are still not available and it will be 6-8 more months which makes the total response time 11-13 months. I was put on a waiting list. In the meantime my pickup axle could fail causing a crash as outlined in the recall notice. Ford is not taking the recall serious. Please look into this situation as Ford is failing to do followup communication with the vehicle owners. My pickup rear axle is clicking and popping and rolls when in Park until the Parking Brake is applied. All symptoms as stated in the recall. Thank You [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I was driving to work early in the morning on [XXX], approximately 6:30 am, when all of suddenly i heard a loud bang and I could no longer accelerate my vehicle. I was fortunate enough to have the time to steer off to the shoulder of the highway. I got out of my vechile and my drive shaft was hanging off, broken and twisted. I called a tow truck and got it told to the Ford dealership in Independence, were i bought my vehicle. After a Ford mechanic inspected my vechile the total cost was 8,500 dollars for the repairs. My vehicle warranty was not able to cover that cost because it was over by 5,000 miles. I tow the vehicle to my house to get the opinions of other mechanics to see if they're able to fix the truck. After the mechanics looked at the damage, they all said that it looked like a fabrication issue or a recall. A drive shaft should not just fall off from a 2022 F-150 truck with the mileage the vehicle has. Also, the Rear ends of trucks usually last at least 300,00 miles, and that part was destroyed in my vehicle. My drive shaft looks like it exploded in a unatual fashion. I have attached photos of the damages of the vehicles to provide a visual image of what the mechanic saw. I purchased this newer model truck, so I would not be in this situation. I have made all my monthly payments on time and have kept up with all the maintenance required. I am currently renting a vehicle from Enterprise to get to work, and I would love to get out of this situation. I was lucky enough for my car insurance company to cover most of the cost and for me not to sustain any injuries. I believe it would have been a different story if it had happened during heavy traffic elsewhere, where I could not pull over on the side of the road, my life could have been seriously at risk. We have taken our F-150 to the dealership multiple times for a clunking issue under the truck, and have been told that it is related to the recall issued. Although, it has never been repaired. We take it in a couple of weeks ago for the exact same issue that has been going on since October of 2024 and suddenly it is a transmission issue. We are told that they can gladly repair the transmission for $10,000 now that they put us off until the extended warranty expired. I think this is happening a lot, as the exact thing happened to my friend's daughter. Also, it appears upon doing a little research that 2021-2024 F-150s and Explorers have this issue frequently well before they reach the 100,000 mile mark. Many times before the buyer has even paid off the loan for said automobiles. This surely poses a safety risk, as well because you never know when the vehicle is going to fail. Also, my husband took his truck in telling them that it wouldn't go into gear and the shifter had a problem in February of 2024, it took the truck's shifter literally breaking off in the driveway (thank Goodness) and being towed in to the dealership before it was repaired.

I am filing a complaint regarding Ford Safety Recall 23S65 and the way Ford Motor Company have handled my vehicle over the past seven months. My truck has been held at the dealership since July 2025, and the recall repair has still not been completed. Despite this extremely long delay, Ford has not issued a stop‑drive order, grounding order, or any owner notification stating that the vehicle is unsafe to operate. The recall bulletin states the half‑shaft remains retained even if the bolt fails, yet the dealership refuses to release my vehicle, citing “liability.” Ford Customer Service has been unable to provide any documentation supporting the dealer’s refusal. Ford updated the dealer‑facing recall bulletin to require replacement of both half‑shafts if one side fails inspection. However, Ford never sent owners an updated recall notice explaining this change, never informed owners that the vehicle must remain at the dealership, and never issued any communication indicating increased safety risk. I, as the owner, received no updated recall letter at all. My family and I have repeatedly asked the dealership and my Ford case representative to replace the broken side and release the truck until parts arrive for the other side. We were told this was “not allowed,” but neither Ford nor the dealer can provide written documentation requiring the vehicle to be held. My case representative has been extremely difficult to reach and has not provided clear or consistent information. This situation has left me without my vehicle for over seven months, with no timeline, no communication, and no justification for the vehicle being held. This appears to violate the intent of federal recall law, which requires timely repairs and prohibits withholding a vehicle without a stop‑drive order. I am requesting NHTSA review Ford’s handling of Recall 23S65, the excessive repair delays, and the lack of owner notification regarding updated repair requirements.

Safety Manufacturer Recall Number 25S82 was issued 8/11/2025, with no ETA on when parts will be available for fix. It's been almost 6 months with the same status, and my dealership telling me they are 41,000 place in line to receive the parts when they are available. People are making monthly payments on these newer vehicles and chose to do so with it in mind that newer vehicles will be safer and more reliable, especially with recalls covered under warranty and should be fixed in a timely manner. With the number of vehicles this recall affects, it's understandable that some time is expected for the repair to be completed, but people are left with this broken part and no loaner vehicle to drive and no time frame when parts are expected to be available, affecting job security and livelihoods.

After operating the vehicle normally and backing into a parking space, I stopped the vehicle and selected Park, turned the vehicle off, and exited. Before the driver’s door was closed, the vehicle began to roll forward unexpectedly. I ran back to the vehicle and reentered it to regain control, with the driver’s door still open and the seatbelt not fastened. After stopping the vehicle, I selected Reverse, at which point the vehicle surged backward unexpectedly. The open driver’s door struck another vehicle and the driver, and my vehicle continued backward, colliding with a fence and then a tree. The vehicle did not behave as expected after Park was selected, creating a serious safety risk to myself and others. Several vehicle systems appeared to malfunction or fail during the incident. The specific component or system responsible is not yet known, and the vehicle is currently available for inspection. The incident resulted in property damage and back pain, for which I later sought medical care. The vehicle has been inspected by a collision repair facility and is currently being handled through insurance. The manufacturer has been informed and stated that insurance should make determinations regarding the incident.

I experience a failure related to Manufacturer Recall Number23S65 NHTSA Recall Number23V896 Recall Status Recall Incomplete I had this recall completed 7/29/25 at Faricy Boys Ford in Salida, CO On 01/13/2026 this repair/parts failed while I was traveling. I had to have my truck towed to Phil Long Ford in Raton, NM for repair. I was told this was a result of the recall and it would be covered . However, they still cannot give me an eta for parts and repair. They also do not have rentals or loaners and there are no car rentals in Raton, NM. Neither the dealership or Ford Customer Service have authorized a rental for me yet. I am a full time RV'er with my travel trailer parked in Las Cruces, NM for the winter. I returned here 1/14 by renting a Uhaul van which was ridiculously expensive and have been here in Las Cruces since then, with no means of transportation. The dealership initially told me the last one of these recalls took 5 weeks for parts. When the parts fail the rear axle disengages from the drive line. You cannot move, and in park the truck rolls. This recall has been going for a couple of years and there are no replacement parts available. I will need transportation to move my trailer to a new job in Colorado before the end of April. Thanks for your attention to this matter.

See attached document for complaint. Almost 5 months ago I received a Safety Recall Notice from Ford about fuel pump failure on certain vehicles including my 2022 F-150. My vehicle suffers from insufficient fuel flow and I'm afraid of losing power or the motor stopping completely at freeway speeds in heavy traffic with little or no shoulder. The clear solution would be to replace the fuel pump. How can Ford be allowed after almost five months to have not fixed the problem? The fuel pump problem is beyond a reasonable amount of time to take corrective action. The local dealership has not seen a Ford remedy for the problem and I've complained twice about the pump on my vehicle. The dealership hopes to see a remedy each month. I would appreciate a response from The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on this very serious safety recall. Almost 5 months surely must be beyond a reasonable time to correct a serious safety issue. Hope to hear from you soon and Thank You in advance.

My truck started to over heat due to lost of radiator fluid. The cause was the transmission coolant line chafing against front drive shaft.

Driving on the highway at highway speeds, heard clanking then a loud bang, then vehicle would not longer respond to the accelerator so we coasted onto the median. We had the vehicle towed and found out from a Ford dealer that the rear axle had broken due to Ford's failure to repair under Manufacturer Recall Number23S65 NHTSA Recall Number23V896 and that had caused damage to the rear differential. We were fortunate not to have been in or caused a significant accident. I had the vehicle at a Ford dealer in Illinois in 2024, but the recall was not performed due to lack of parts. This incident happened thereafter, in November of 2025, and the vehicle has been off of the road at a Ford dealer in Indiana since. Same story, no parts. Ford offers no timeline for repair, advising it could be 3 months, could be a year - it is indefinite. I recently was advised that there are 70,000 orders for the parts for this repair, and although I am on the "emergency off road list" that is still 15,000 orders long. Additionally, I had the vehicle in early in my ownership window for lags when the transmission shifted at certain times, it was checked and given the all clear, but - intermittently arose - given Ford representations I ignored it but never felt the delays were safe as it slowed vehicle responsiveness, albeit it slightly. I now see active litigation around these transmission issues in the F-150.

Complete electrical shut down driving on the highway on two separate occasions. While driving engine shuts off, dash board goes black, infotainment center goes black. Required to shift vehicle into park to restart after occurrence. Huge safety risk! When taken to Ford service; unable to find any issues and was told “vehicle is safe to drive”
