Door started cracking. Next day door made a loud crack and my door would not shut. I had to take it to my garage because Ford Manderbach Ford in Hamburg PA would not cover it due to no recall. My garage put door back together and spot welded everything back together. My bill was $95.

The contact owns a 2021 Ford Escape. The contact stated that when he was exiting the vehicle and opened the front driver's side door, he heard a popping sound. The contact stated that the front driver's side window was inoperable, the window would not go up or down. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed with a fractured check arm. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and they provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 43,294.

The contact owns a 2021 Ford Escape. The contact stated while opening the front driver's side door of the vehicle, the door made an abnormal popping sound. The contact stated while opening the door for a second time, the door made an abnormal grinding sound. The contact stated that the front driver's side door check arm weld had fractured internally, which prevented the window from rolling up and down as needed. Additionally, the door failed to close as intended and made an abnormal clicking sound while opening. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the front driver's side door check arm weld had fractured internally. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: PE23013 (Structure). The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 43,200.

The door check in the drivers door snapped after two years. Ford is not willing to take care of the situation but this is a known issue. Since this item has to do with the door and door latching, I do not feel comfortable driving my vehicle

The contact owns a 2022 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while driving in reverse, the contact heard an abnormal sound emanating from the rear of the vehicle. After a visual inspection, the contact observed brake dust on the wheels. The ABS warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a nondescript failure with the entire braking system that was causing abnormal wear on the brake pads. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 800.

As I was driving home with about 5 minutes to go, in my brand new (2 week old)2023 Ford Escape, I smelled something burning. I pulled over and saw smoke so I turned off the car and got out. As I got out of the car I looked under and saw fire. I got away from the car and as I did, the fire kept growing and growing from under the hood. The fire went high enough to hit the trees on the side of the roasd. The police and fire department came and were able to put out the fire but not before the car was distroyed. There were no warning lights or any other symtoms of a problem prior to smelling burning. The Ford company has not responded to me from the day my wife spoke to a representative on Monday, October 2nd. The car fire was on Saturday, September 30th. It's been 3 days. My insurance company was going to do an inspection. Ford wants nothing to do with us. We have a police report and a fire report. This clearly was a engine or electrical problem with this car. I was lucy this happened on a small street and not on the highway where pulling over would have been difficult. Lucky I could smell it so I knew to stop. Lucky I didn't have one or both of my toddler grandchildren in the back seat in their car seats! I would never have been able to get them out in time!

engine light came on took it into dealership. they said it was evap system then fixed it. picked car up in a wednesday by the friday, light came on again. took back into dealership, they didn’t detect any leaks.. said they were going to put in a canister purge solenoid. found out about 23S27.. apparently my vehicle vin doesn’t fall under that recall.. but yet my vehicle has all the signs.

Upon opening the driver side door there was a pop. Every time the door has been opened to appx 50% full width the same popping noise occurs. The weld is popped in the hinge but this is not visible without taking the door apart. The door will close properly and the window works at this time.

Paint is bubbling and popping for no reason. Issues have been seen on body panels and seals on inside of car where noting would touch it. Problem spots look like little volcanos or in some cases have already chipped away. Car has only been hand washed and waxed since owned. Application Performance Upgrade 22G08 may need to be expanded out to other colors as this one has discolored plastic panels as compared to metal panels and black base is also showing on nose through clear coat.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
After the vehicle sits idle for about two contiguous days and you open the driver's door, there are not lights on inside or outside. Normally when you open the driver's door, the center dash and console light up as well as the ambient lighting in various areas of the interior. There is no mention of the 'battery deep sleep' anywhere in the online user manual for a non electric vehicle (ICE). Entering a dark interior in the middle of the night creates the potential for a slip and fall accident. Not to mention contact with kees and the dash or the door opening and the side of the head when trying to get situated behind the steering wheel.

I was in the middle of driving and going around a curve and all of a sudden advance Trac warning light is on hill assist warning comes on and pre collision assist comes on and none of the stability sensors are working in my car and I noticed my steering is very off sometimes it’s stiffer than usual and sometimes it’s not as stiff and that is dangerous I think it definitely needs to be recalled that’s very serious can cause loss of control of the vehicle

When I open my driver side door is clunks very bad. I took into dealer and was told the door check bracket has come unwelded They said that I can keep driving it in this condition until they can get it in to repair. But at first he was saying they would probably replace the door but now that isn’t happening. They are just going to repair it.
