Car had known recall and dealership was notified prior to this happening and I was advised that I was fine. Few months later, oil pump failed and seized engine while merging onto I40 with my 2 children in the backseat. Crash had almost happened but I was able to safely stop the vehicle and remove my kids from the smoking car. Small grass fire started under the car as the oil flooded from underneath my car but self estinguished. My car has been at the dealership for almost a month and they plan to put the same recalled part back into my car until remedy is available in November 2025. Front driver airbag also has a recall that it may not deploy if vehicle crashes which vehicle is already at risk for. There was no warning signs or symptoms.

- #11597773June 30, 2024VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, ENGINE
On [XXX] @ 8:45 pm my vehicle was at a stop light. I started to go forward and hill assist start notification came up as vehicle turned back on from sitting idle due to the ecosport design. As slowly accelerating the wrench icon came on, check engine light came on. Vehicle lost power and speed dropped to less than 5 miles an hour. I had to floor the gas pedal to get enough speed to switch lanes and get off the road safely. I had to pay to have the vehicle towed to a dealership. This all occurs after the following previous events. On 6/25/24 my Vehicle was serviced for sporadic check engine lights that would come and go quickly. The dealership had some reprogramming done, an oil change, and a a transmission inspection. Stated all good and the vehicle was returned on Friday, June 28th. Back in April 2024 the vehicle had a similar situation with loss of power and similar warning lights. The engine was replaced due to total failure of the engine oil pump belt. This occurring when transitioning on a ramp from one highway to another. Another dangerous situation. This vehicle is not safe. I have been in the vehicle both times with [XXX] . Two major events in less than 3 months. I anticipate another total engine loss. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

- #11596900June 26, 2024ENGINE, UNKNOWN OR OTHER
My vehicle is part of the recall 23S64/NHTSA 23V905. My vehicle became unusable as part of the recalled part failure in February 2024. I just received notification that the part will not be available until 2025. I have been in a rental car, Ford is paying for since February. I have tow fees and rental fees that have not been covered by Ford. I just want my vehicle back it has been 4 months and according to the newest recall from Ford the part will not be available until next year. This situation is being taken care of without charge but this is an unreasonable time for the repair to take place.
