I realize there is an open recall of 23V905. As well, my vehicle did experience a loss of oil pressure which caused the engine to fail. My local Ford Dealership DID replace the engine. However, the recall is still open given the fact the oil pump is still part of the original recall. My frustration is that this recall has been opened since February 2024 and there is no time frame of the repair and closing of the recall and Ford Motor Company refuses to take a complaint on it and has not communicated to their dealerships as to the time frame.

For the past 3 weeks my check engine light would appear then disappear. On 01-09-25 I scheduled with a in town loco mechanic shop. Gave him my worries about how my check engine light sometimes comes on. I was advised to take my vehicle to the Ford dealership because they could not replace the sensors I needed, only Ford can?? I picked up my car and the check engine light was not on. Today [XXX] in the morning check engine light is on. Once I put the gear in drive my vehicle was struggling for speed. It struggled so much that it made me a bit nervous that I returned home right away. So……I decided to do a little research on my vehicle. It has low mileage. Oh boy. I didn’t know Ford had some recalls. I plan on requesting an inspection from the manufacturer. I was never informed or notified of any specific needs to be repaired as part of a recall?? I hope this makes sense?? INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Was driving the vehicle going approximately 35-40 miles per hour. Lost all power to the vehicle, no ability to steer or control the vehicle. Once vehicle stopped and after additional inspection at the Ford dealership was informed vehicle had experienced engine failure. First was told it occurred under current belt recall, later told engine failure occurred because of coolant leaking into oil. I was told it is a know problem and recall issue for Ford Escapes and other models with same EcoBoot engines, but that for the EcoSport it has not been recognized as a problem by Ford. Was told that I would need to pay $8816.38 to replace engine. The vehicle had approximately 9600 miles at time of engine failure. I contacted Ford and was told the vehicle was 1-3months outside of buyback timeframes. I was told to take the vehicle to another dealership and they would take care of everything, that has yet to happen.

- #11634730January 7, 2025AIR BAGS, STRUCTURE:BODY, ENGINE
I was involved in a front end collision [XXX] that caused my vehicle to be totaled and me to be transported to the hospital via an ambulance. I purchased the vehicle with the understanding that it had numerous safety features including airbags throughout. During this accident my impact completely crumpled my engine compartment and left portions of my engine were left lying around. The only airbag to deploy was the skirt one below the steering wheel column. The curtain one over my driver door and the steering wheel one did not deploy. I sustained a concussion, post concussion syndrome, chest wall injury, hematoma and abrasions to my left arm and both legs. The bruises sustained to my abdomen make it look like I am still wearing my seatbelt. The post concussion syndrome has caused me memory loss for the entire day, before and after the accident other than a moment here or there. I cannot remember the accident or what led up to it. I continue to have headaches and nausea. I am really just looking for answers on why my other airbags did not deploy. Ford has declined to inspect the airbags unless I agree to have the vehicle brought to one of their inspection locations.
