Ford dealership does not have parts to fix recall issue, having engine issues with this 3rd engine and dealership is trying to charge $1100 dollars saying it is unrelated to engine recall issue. This is the 3rd engine on the vehicle. Was told parts would be ready 1st quarter 2025. Still no parts ready and dealership is trying to charge me for repair.

I was exiting the freeway and my engine shut down and was unable to manever the vehicle. Stuck on feeder road, unable to place car in neutral to move car out of the road. Police and passerby have to disconnect transmission in order to move my car out of the road. I had car towed to ford dealership. Ford dealership submitted for recall repair approval twice. Both times denied. Dealership advised car is running but they can not repair anything because Ford will approve repair. When Ford Dealership repair service started to put the car back together they realized bolts were one time use and have to order parts. They have had my car for 5 days and still need to keep it for 3 or 4 more days for the replacement bolts to arrive. My car has not been repaired because Ford won't honor recall because they believe what happened to my car is not recall related. They also stated they don't know why my car lost full power while driving and can't tell me if it will happen again. I do not feel safe driving the car, I feel lucky I was exiting the freeway when it happened, but if I was going full speed on the freeway when I lost power I believe it could have been catastrophic! How can Ford not approve a repair that is a known problem with the vehicle even with the severely of the consequences if the engine fails again. I don't feel safe driving this car, but I don't have a choice because it is the only car I have.

I had brought my vehicle multiple times in 2024 to the Route 23 auto mall prior to me receiving a recall notice. The check engine light kept coming on and off and they told me that there was nothing wrong with my vehicle. I then received a recall notice in around the end of July 2024 and contacted them to complete the recall. I brought my vehicle in August 2024 and they told me that they would not be receiving the parts for the recall until March of 2025. I was told that I can still drive the car until then as it was not a safety hazard. That same day I went home and parked my car in front of my house. I was leaving to go to work and the car would not start. I had to call a tow truck to tow the car to the dealership. The manager told me that I would need to get a new motor and it would only take a few days. I asked for a rental car in the mean time. I then got my car back with the new motor almost 6 months later. I picked up my car from them and they gave me a certificate for the new motor. Fast forward to April of 2025 and my car again would not start. I had to have it towed to the dealership once again and this time it took 3 weeks to get it fixed. They said that the hose was ripped in half which causes anti-freeze to leek. They told me that it had nothing to do with the recall and that I had to pay $200.00 out of pocket. The car is still not fixed as per recall because the same parts were put on the car. I tried to get rid of the car and no dealership will by it. I looked online and noticed that there is a class action lawsuit against ford for the same exact issues. Ford itself will not buy the car back. What can I do now? I have attachments but its too large to fit on here. I can email it.

APIM fault affecting Backup camera and Handsfree phone system (JK2T-14G371-CCC) The issue seemed to be the result of a sudden glitch. That occurred in January 2024. The screen appeared as if the system was rebooting, then it went dark and would not come back on, no longer displaying the camera feed from the rear camera when the transmission is put in reverse. After consulting the owners manual, and trying to follow the steps for a hard reset, and reinstalling the SYNC software; the system continued to be unresponsive. After this, the vehicle was brought to Autonation Ford Memphis for diagnosis, upon which the Dealer confirmed the faulty APIM. (Part Code: JK2T-14G371-CCC) As a result of the faulty component, the Driver is unable to make use of Driver safety features such as the Rear view camera, handsfree phone system, and other vehicle information through the SYNC screen, increasing the risk of a crash
