With 8500 miles while driving the engine started ticking, jerks on acceleration, Trans shifting very slow and a light warning with “reduced acceleration while driving” came on. Then immediately after the Instrument panels warning lights indicated service traction control, forward collision system unavailable, and check engine light all illuminated. Then car stopped accelerating and was almost rear ended on highway. Luckily no one was hurt. What is GM/Chevy doing to fix this issue. Apparently, this is common issue with the new Tahoes.

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the vehicle was intermittently restarting independently after being turned off. The contact also stated that while driving at approximately 70 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power and the transmission independently shifted into neutral(N). After veering to the side of the road, the vehicle was turned off and the gear was shifted into park(P). The vehicle was able to restart. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer on various occasions; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 15,000.

My 2016 Tahoe just shut off on me and my daughter inside of the tunnel with heavy traffic. When I placed the gear in drive the vehicle roll back instead of moving forward. I was afraid because the traffic was steady moving. The emergency wrecker pushed my Tahoe to safety out of the tunnel. I had it towed to my mechanic he said it’s the transmission . The engine light came on afterwards. The dealer refused the acknowledgment of the vehicle. I purchased as is. I purchase the vehicle 11-09-2022 it shut off 12-20-2022

My taheo keeps giving a warning of Trailer Break System. That started going off out of no where the first time it start I was almost to where I was going so just turned vehicle off. It stated beeping and giving me the same warning have had my breaks changed thought it would fix the problem. It continues to beep every couple seconds and continues to say Trailer Break System. Then read the reason this continues to happen is Wire Harness is defective. It is a safety risk because it is very distracting with the alert chime for the driver

Hello to whom it may concern, I purchased a certified pre-owned 2016 Chevy Tahoe in November of 2019 from a Woodland Ca dealership. Over the last six years, I have put only 31k miles on the truck. In 2022 I have put in a new transmission at 120K and now not even a year later I’m getting a warning message popping up on the dashboard service Trailer brake system. I have NOT towed anything in the last two years since my move. However, on January 4th of this year 2023 when the warning started, I thought it was just that I accidentally hit the trailer switch. I hit the switch again and the warning went away. However, the warning is increasing in the number of times it’s coming on. I took it to a mechanic and discovered they said that a wire needed to be replaced. When I went to YouTube, I noticed that there were several videos on the same issue. This unexcitable that a company as big as GMC wouldn’t take care of the part that results in the warning. My vehicle is not safe to drive in that condition. The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the service safety restraint system warning light illuminated, causing the air bag warning light to remain illuminated. The contact stated that the liftgate failed to unlatch and open as needed. The contact was able to manually unlock the vehicle. Additionally, the dome light was malfunctioning. The contact stated that the sunroof failed to open as needed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the air bags might fail to deploy as needed in the event of a crash. The contact was informed that the sunroof, liftgate and lights needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 13,000.

While driving in traffic the car shut off, engine stopped. When the car stopped it went into park. Could not restart the car. Starter worked and engine started but ran very rough then stopped several times. I could not completely shut off the car in an attempt to basically reboot. Car had to be towed to the dealer.

The contact was informed that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V739000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact was referred to the manufacturer for assistance. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was 11,000.

When pulling out of my driveway my gas pedal foot became stuck on the gas pedal. I could not remove my foot from the gas pedal. I immediately stepped on the brake pedal and then my Tahoe accelerated rapidly. I removed my foot from the brake pedal because any pressure on the brake just caused the car to accelerate faster. I then managed to wiggle my gas pedal foot from off of the gas pedal, it took a lot of effort. I was wearing normal men's shoes with no protrusions of any kind. I have recently seen in the news several similar occurrences including one that resulted in a fatality and others being injured as the car accelerated into an Apple store. In two of these cases that I've seen in the news the drivers have reported that their foot became stuck on the gas pedal and when they applied the brakes the car accelerated out of control. This is exactly what happened to me except i managed to get the car under control before I hit anything. My inspection of the Tahoe's pedals revealed that the two pedals are very close to each other and when applying the brakes the brake pedal comes down on the foot that is somehow stuck on the gas pedal. I believe the stuck accelerator foot was somehow trapped under the brake pedal. The pedals are too close together.
