Wheel/Tire makes shudders during a turn at low acceleration or going up a hill leading to uncontrolled acceleration. I have brought the car in for inspection and service and the issue could not be replicated by the techs, however the problem occurs with daily driving. An online search shows that this is a very common problem with the transfer case.

Description of the Problem: At ~57,000 miles, the front differential on my 2025 BMW X7 M50i failed and was replaced by an authorized dealer in March 2025. The issue was believed resolved, but in October 2025 the vehicle was returned to Advantage BMW because of a question about when the vehicle showing shuttering, vibration, and binding during low-speed turns. The car has been at the BMW dealership since 10/15/2025, where it was diagnosed with a transfer-case failure. Both failures occurred without any warning lights, messages, or diagnostic alerts. The symptoms were only mechanical noise (front differential) and driveline vibration (transfer case). The dealer confirmed that BMW issued Service Bulletin SIB 27 02 20, describing similar transfer-case/driveline malfunctions. The failed components are available for inspection. This issue poses a safety hazard, as the xDrive AWD system controls traction and stability. Sudden drivetrain failure without warning can cause loss of power distribution between axles and loss of control during acceleration, turning, or highway driving. Multiple owners have reported identical failures on the BimmerPost G07 X7 forum (https://g07.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2011112), indicating a broader defect pattern. Summary: Two major drivetrain components—the front differential and transfer case—have failed on my 2025 BMW X7 M50i under 60,000 miles with no warning indicators. The transfer case in my BMW X7 began making grinding, jerking, shuttering around 65,000 miles. The dealer failed to diagnose the issue at that time when I brought it in at 71,000. (approximately $9,000–$10,000). Transfer cases "should be" designed to last well over 150,000miles. Maybe my car was a lemon but it seems to be a common theme/legal suite for BMW X7 owner.s This issue connitued causes sudden loss of power delivery, shuddering, and unpredictable handling—especially during acceleration or turning—which can increase the risk of an accident. Many BMW X7 owners have reported similar premature transfer case failures online, suggesting a widespread defect that may affect vehicle safety. BMW should investigate these failures and take accountability for transfer case defects that appear to occur prematurely and often shortly after warranty expiration. Consumer forums (like Bimmerpost and CarComplaints.com) show multiple reports of X7 transfer cases failing between 50K–90K miles.

two fan blades came off and punctured my radiator. I replaced the radiator/fan for 4300 and when I picked it up, it said the power was limited and to get it to a BMW dealership right away and when I took it to BMW, they told me the engine was shot and cylinder four was completely destroyed. Then both through BMW corporate and the dealership that I bought the car at new in 2022 I was told there was nothing that they would do at all. In fact I was told it would cost $46,500 plus tax to replace the engine. The car is only worth 40 and I owe 29 I have been without a car for many months and I don’t know what to do with this card is essentially become a paperweight. I bought it brand new at arrowhead BMW for almost $115,000 with 3000 miles on it. Someone had purchased it new and brought it back and I’m not sure why exactly. It just doesn’t feel right that I should only be able to drive a car for 65,000 miles until it’s completely valueless furthermore, my attorney informed me that there was a class action lawsuit around my engine that was closed and it just doesn’t seem right that they would continue to make this engine. I’m hoping there’s some sort of resolved because it’s a very costly situation for me and my family

The contact stated that the further the vehicle was away from an object, the greater the dark shadow was cast. The contact stated that the closer the headlight was to an object, the dark shadow was smaller. The contact stated that the failure obstructed the vision of the left side of the roadway while driving at night. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the headlight failure was acknowledged. However, the dealer had not yet determined a cause or a repair for the defect. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle remained with the dealer. The failure mileage was 2,914

Box 1227 Westwood, NJ 07675 Subject: Request for Compensation Due to Prolonged Safety Recall – 2025 BMW X7 (VIN: [XXX] ) Dear BMW Customer Relations, I am writing to formally raise my concern regarding my 2025 BMW X7, which has been subject to an open safety recall since August 2024. It has now been over 13 months without a remedy from BMW. This vehicle was leased through BMW Financial Services with the intent of being used as part of my business operations. Due to the unresolved recall and the associated safety responsibility issues, the vehicle has been restricted from use and rendered inoperable for its intended purpose. Despite this, I continue to make full lease payments, which has placed an unnecessary financial burden on my business for an asset that cannot be utilized. Given the prolonged delay and the material impact on my business, I respectfully request that BMW provide appropriate financial relief or compensation, which may include: •A credit or reimbursement for lease payments made during the period of inoperability, •The option to terminate or exchange the lease without penalty. This situation has been ongoing for well over a year, and I believe BMW has a responsibility to ensure that customers — especially those who rely on their vehicles for business purposes — are not left bearing the cost of a vehicle that cannot be safely used. Traveling on I70 on 9/3 at 70 mph around 2pm the car stopped abuptly and displayed Emergency Stoppage and made an SOS call to BMW. After a few minutes the car was retarted and we proceeded to our destination. No injuries or damage since there was no one behind us. Dealer told us not to drive the car and it iwas towed to BMW Service.

I purchased 2020 4 PM BMW X7. Since the time I purchased, my air conditioning has not worked properly. Due to living in the hot state of Florida and it’s been an ongoing concern with my family as I have six kids. Bmw is denying that there is any problem with my air-conditioning and always reports that it’s a normal range. All you have to do is one search on the Internet to know that I am not alone in this issue. I finally took my vehicle to another dealership that duplicated by complaint on day one. Bmw is denying any problem. Any liability any responsibility even though the vehicle is underwater They know they have a manufacturer defect and if they admit there’s a problem they would be forced to recall all of these vehicles that us consumer spent a lot of money on.

AUSTIN, TX 78729-7687 PHONE (512)343-3570 ON AUGUST 28 2025 AT 11;00AM WITH JASON SANTOSUOSSO. THIS SERVICE ADVISORY TOLD ME THE RECALL IS NOT COVERED, BECAUSE MY VEHICLE HAS 36,100 MILES-JUST 100 MILES OVER THE 36,000-MILE FACTORY warranty. HE INFORMED ME THAT BMW 'DENIED" THE REPAIR AND THA I WOULD NEED TO PAY $1900. OUT OF POCKET, (INCLUEDE OIL CHANGE $329), EVEN THOUGH THIS A FEDERAL SAFETY RECALL. AS PER NHTSA REGULATIONS, RECALL REPAIRS MUST PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE, REGARDLESS OF MILEAGE OR WARRANTY EXPIRATION, REFUSING TO PERFORM A BRAKE-RELATED SAFETY RECALL DUE TO MILEAGE IS NOT ONLY UNREASONABLE BUT APPEARS TO VIOLATE FEDERAL LAW. THE VEHICLE REMAINS UNREPAIRED AND POSES A POTENTIAL SAFETY RISK TO MYSELF AND OTHERS. The issue originates from the transfer case, which has been identified as the malfunctioning component. The transfer case was previously serviced according to the manufacturer's official technical bulletin, but the problem returned after the prescribed post-repair evaluation period. The condition compromises vehicle stability and creates a potential safety risk, particularly when merging into traffic, turning at intersections, or navigating tight spaces — where unexpected hesitation or loss of traction can lead to a collision. The issue has been confirmed by authorized dealership technicians, and acknowledged by service personnel as a commonly recurring defect in this vehicle model. SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
SUMMARY: INTEGRATED BRAKE: The Integrated Brake (IB) system may not have been produced by the supplier according to specifications. If the IB system was not functioning properly, a warning lamp and message will be displayed in the instrument cluster. In August, this recall was expanded to include additional potentially affected vehicles. SAFETY RISK: In some cases, there will be a reduction in power assist braking, which could lead to an extended stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash. The Antilock Brake System (ABS) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system may not function, which could also affect braking performance as well as vehicle handling and control. However, fully mechanical braking is not affected and, if the IB system is not functioning properly, the parking (emergency) brake will be automatically activated to aid in braking performance and help maintain vehicle stability and control. REMEDY: The Integrated Brake (IB) system will be replaced for free by an authorized BMW center which should take about two to three hours. RECALL STATUS: Recall INCOMPLETE. Remedy not yet available This recall was issued on February 12, 2024, more than a year ago and the manufacturer has informed that the parts to fix this issue is on backorder. This is a safety issue.

We are the original Owner of a 2023 BMW X7 with 17,500 miles. The past 2+ months the screen/display will go blank for up to 30 seconds while driving the vehicle. Obviously this is a serious safety issue. We took the vehicle for service where it was originally purchased at BMW I will say, this issue is very disappointing, scary, and disturbing. The vehicle was originally brought into service on 7/3 and no resolution for the problem has been presented as of yet. According to the Service Advisor, multiple software updates have been applied and the screen/display has been replaced twice, still no resolution. Brought back into Dealership on 7/23/2025 for the same repeated and dangerous issue Brought back again on 8/3/2025 for the same repeated issue. We were promised it was fixed. Drove the car 4 hours, and once again the screen/display went blank.
