SummarySupersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 15-80 dated March 20, 2015. The addresses and contacts stored in the Navigation >> Favorites, Navigation >> Directory, and Navigation >> Last destinations submenus disappear intermittently. Intermittently, the MMI system does not appear to remember that the user?s myAudi PIN has already been entered, and it requires the user to enter the PIN again. The voice recognition system does not easily recognize commands spoken by the driver. This condition can be consistent or intermittent. If a user stores addresses and contacts in the Navigation >> Favorites, Navigation >> Directory, and Navigation >> Last destinations submenus while a Bluetooth phone is paired to the vehicle, those addresses and contacts will only be visible any time that the same phone is paired to the vehicle. Any time that the same phone is not paired to the vehicle, the addresses and contacts will not be available. If a user stores addresses and contacts in the Navigation >> Favorites, Navigation >> Directory, and Navigation >> Last destinations submenus while a Bluetooth phone is not paired to the vehicle, the addresses and contacts will be available any time. In vehicles with Audi connect, the user is prompted to enter the myAudi PIN when selecting online destinations, accessing weather or other online information, or when importing contacts from the myAudi account. If the user?s Bluetooth phone (the same phone that was paired to the vehicle when the PIN was entered initially) is paired to the vehicle, the user will not be prompted to re-enter the PIN after it has been entered. 2016 A6 and A7 vehicles have a known software issue that requires the myAudi PIN to be entered with each ignition cycle. Multiple voice recognition training sessions can be stored in the MMI for different users when different phones are Bluetooth-paired during each training session. If no phone is paired, the training session will be stored under a default profile. Thi

SummarySupersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 15-90 dated June 5, 2015. When the vehicle is started, the GPS location or vehicle direction indicated on the MMI navigation map does not match the vehicle?s actual location or direction of travel for a long period of time (often as long as 10 minutes). The issue occurs in open sky, with no large buildings obstructing the sky view. The issue is intermittent, but it can occur for long periods of time during a single day. The issue resolves itself intermittently. The issue typically happens on very warm days when the HVAC system blower is at a medium to high setting (auto or manual), with air being directed out of the panel vents. When the issue occurs, the GPS navigation system satellite reception shows 0 satellites. Due to the infrequency of the issue, this might not be verifiable. (To view the number of satellites being received, go to Nav >> Route >> Select Current Position (first item in list) and scroll up). No DTCs related to the GPS antenna or MMI system are present. The vehicle is an A4 (including S4 and allroad variants), A5 (including Cabriolet, S5, and RS 5 variants), A6 (including S6 variant), A7 (including S7/RS 7 variants), A8 (including long wheelbase, S8, or W12 variants) or Q5 (including SQ5 and hybrid variants). (Q7 and Q3 vehicles are not affected by this condition. See TSB 2030465, 91 MMI3G+ GPS navigation location inaccurate or navigation takes a very long time to acquire location (Q7 or Q3) for Q7 and Q3 vehicles.)

SummarySupersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 87 number 14-49 dated April 25, 2014. Air conditioning is inoperative. The HVAC blower functions normally. Battery discharged; however, when charged, there is no bus silence when vehicle ignition is off. The A/C pressure/temperature sensor, G395, leaks refrigerant. This causes sensor G395 to show an incorrect or implausible value when reading MVBs. An incorrect signal or a low refrigerant level in the system can cause the air conditioning compressor to deactivate. The LIN cable connecting the vehicle electrical system control module, J519, to sensor G395 is pinched or cut. This affects the A4/S4, A5/S5 Coupe and Cabriolet, and Q5 vehicles. The A6 and A8 are not affected by this type of failure. The pressure sensor G395/G65 sends an incorrect signal that prevents bus silence and the battery is discharged. Sensor G395 is a LIN slave of the vehicle electrical system control module. The vehicle electrical system control module transfers the information provided by the sensor via the comfort data bus to the climate control module, J255.

SummarySupersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 87 number 15-66 dated July 29, 2015. The air conditioning does not cool, or the cooling performance is very weak. The air conditioning system cools, but the compressor is noisy. The noise is characterized as a grinding or groaning noise. Either symptom may be intermittent. No DTCs are stored. The condition may be caused by a faulty N280 valve . The internal components of the valve can be obstructed and incapable of full function. This loss of refrigerant regulation from N280 can cause noise from the A/C compressor and/or affect the HVAC cooling.

SummarySupersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 21 number 14-21 dated November 26, 2014. The MIL is on. Customer may report a reduction in power. DTC P029900 (Turbo/Super Charger Underboost) is stored in the engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 01). The circlip connecting the turbo wastegate actuator rod and the wastegate flap lever can fall off due to low tension of the clip. Consequently, the wastegate linkage becomes disconnected, causing MIL on and DTC P029900.

SummarySupersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 48 number 15-65 dated March 23, 2015. Customer may report hearing creaking or squeaking noise from the steering column when steering slowly (the noise can be duplicated while the vehicle is stationary if the steering wheel is turned slowly). The noise may get louder at higher temperatures or when the vehicle is driven for a longer period of time. The noise comes from the sealing sleeve/steering column opening on the bulkhead. Insufficient lubrication of the intermediate steering shaft in the area of the sealing sleeve.

SummaryThe customer complains that the Audi connect online service in their 2011-2013 A8, 2012-2013 Q7, or 2013 A4, A5, A5 cabriolet, or Q5 vehicle only reaches 2G service when in metropolitan areas. This bulletin applies only to model year 2011-2013 A8, 2012-2013 Q7, and 2013 A4, A5, A5 cabriolet, and 2013 Q5 vehicles. For 2012-2013 A6 and A7 vehicles see TSB 2039515. The model year 2014 A8 is not included in this repair. Model year 2014 was the last year before the A8 product improvement and ElsaPro may classify these vehicles as model year 2013 because these vehicles are the same from a technical and design standpoint. But unlike the model year 2013 vehicles, the model year 14 vehicles already have the updated telephone module in the MMI. Recently, T-Mobile (the service provider for Audi connect) has repurposed some of the GSM spectrum (3G on 2100Mhz band) to maximize 4G LTE coverage in certain metropolitan areas. Devices that do not support 3G service on the 1900MHZ band (including MMI main units of the vehicles to which this bulletin applies) will only receive 2G service when the switch is completed. The change currently only affects the markets listed above, but will affect other markets in coming years. This bulletin will be updated to include these markets as changes occur.

SummaryThis document contains the Audi maintenance schedule. The intervals shown in this table are based on vehicles operating under normal conditions. In case of severe conditions, such as extremely low temperatures, excessive dust, etc., it is necessary for certain operations to be carried out in between the given intervals. This applies particularly to engine oil changes and the cleaning or replacing of the air cleaner filter element.
