On [XXX], I purchased a brand-new vehicle 2026 Toyota Camry hybrid from Post Oak Toyota (located at 5800 Tinker Diagonal, Midwest City, OK 73110). The dealership delivered this vehicle to me with an open, active safety recall that had not been fixed. We discovered the recall June 20 2026 after setting up the new Toyota app. The dealership violated federal safety regulations by finalizing the sale and delivering a brand-new vehicle with an unaddressed factory safety recall. I was placed at unnecessary risk during the week and a half I operated the vehicle. Furthermore, I have been deprived of the use of my brand-new vehicle for the vast majority of my ownership period because the dealer sold a product they could not legally or safely allow me to keep driving. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate this dealership non-compliance and delivery violation. the specific recall involves an improperly torqued bolt inside the inverter, which can cause sudden power loss or an increased risk of fire when the vehicle is running. the vehicle has been in the outside lot from July 3rd 2026 to present day so a total of 13 days. We have requested a buyback resolution because we no longer feel safe handling a vehicle that has started its lifecycle this way. Thank you for reading our statement. I am writing to report two serious safety incidents involving my Tesla Model 3 Full Self-Driving (FSD). First Incident: On XXX at approximately 8:00 a.m., I was traveling on [XXX], with Full Self-Driving engaged. Without any warning, the vehicle suddenly steered to the right, struck a mailbox, broke the right-side mirror, continued traveling for approximately 10 yards, and then came to a complete stop. At the time of the incident, there were no vehicles ahead of or behind my vehicle. I was holding the steering wheel, but I did not make any steering input or take any action that would have caused the vehicle to turn. Following the incident, I promptly reported it to the police, my insurance company, and NHTSA. I also scheduled an inspection with the Tesla Service Center in Princeton and contacted Tesla’s Vehicle Safety team. I was informed that Tesla would conduct an investigation and provide results within approximately 30 days. Second Incident: On XXX, at approximately 8:25 a.m., while driving on [XXX] with FSD engaged, the vehicle again veered sharply to the right without warning, nearly causing a collision with an adjacent vehicle before abruptly correcting itself. This recurrence demonstrates that a significant safety problem remains unresolved. Tesla previously inspected the vehicle and reported no issues with the FSD system, yet the defect persists. The contact owns a 2008 Toyota Camry. The contact received a warranty-enhanced program related to the dashboard. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the repair was performed, but the vehicle experienced the failure approximately two years later. The contact stated that while driving on several occasions, a sticky film on the dashboard created a glare, obstructing the driver's vision of the driver. On one occasion, while attempting to lower the sun visor, the contact’s left arm got stuck on the dashboard, and force was needed to remove the arm from the dashboard. The contact’s arm was burning after being removed from the dashboard, and there were marks on the left arm. The contact used burn ointment on the arm, but no medical attention was needed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

In an emergency stop on dry pavement, my braked did not operate in a straight line. The vehicle swerved. My statement is attached as Page 4 to an uploaded form supplied by the dealership abbreviated as "UB Interview Guide". You have my permission to inspect the vehicle which is in the possession of the Toyota of Santa Barbara dealership. Toyota of Santa Barbara has not to date inspected or repaired my vehicle. I am not aware that anyone has inspected the vehicle. I consider the problem to be one that could cause death or serious bodily injury if the vehicle is driven without repair. A red box appeared on my dashboard during the incident, but I had no time to read or process whatever message may have appeared. Please see my statement prepared within 24 hours of the incident.

On July 10, 2026, my vehicle was parked, turned off, and unattended. The front windows were partially rolled down because the outside temperature was approximately 80°F. I had been away from the vehicle for about one hour. Approximately 20 minutes before discovering the incident, I heard fire trucks nearby but did not initially realize they were responding to my vehicle. When I returned, I discovered that the vehicle had caught fire and that the fire department had already extinguished it. I do not know what component or system failed or where the fire originated. Before parking the vehicle, I did not observe any warning lights, dashboard messages, smoke, unusual odors, overheating, electrical issues, mechanical problems, or other symptoms that would have indicated a possible fire or malfunction. Because the vehicle caught fire while parked and turned off, the incident created a serious safety risk to nearby people, surrounding vehicles, homes, and other property. Fortunately, I am not aware of anyone being inside or immediately next to the vehicle when the fire began. A fire marshal is currently investigating the incident and the cause remains unknown. The issue has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealership, manufacturer, or independent repair facility. That I am aware of. The firemarshalle said it appears to be manufactured defects. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer to my knowledge. The damaged vehicle and affected components should be available for inspection upon request, subject to the requirements of the fire investigation.

My wife was in a crash that totaled my 2004 Camry. She swerved to miss a deer and was pulled off the road and into two utility poles and several areas of fence. None of the airbags deployed and the crash was well over the 14 mph speed limit suggested for the airbags to deploy. My wife was seriously injured and was lucky the seatbelt held her back. She spent time in a hospital and broken two ribs and bruised her heart. This could have been avoided if the airbags deployed. No warning signs and the vehicle was inspected on time every time. No recalls.

I am filing this complaint because my 2026 Toyota Camry Hybrid has been under NHTSA Safety Recall 25V869 since December 16, 2025. As of July 2026, Toyota still has not provided a repair or remedy. It has been more than six months, and owners continue to drive vehicles affected by a safety recall without any available fix. I believe this delay is unreasonable and I request that NHTSA investigate why Toyota has not made a remedy available within a reasonable timeframe. I rely on this vehicle every day for work and school. It is concerning to know that my vehicle has an unresolved safety recall with no repair available after several months.

Component failed: Falken tire size 235/40R19. The tire was manually over-inflated to a life-threatening 91 PSI by the service facility. It is currently available for inspection upon request.Safety risk: Upon driving onto public Highway 79, the extreme over-inflation caused the vehicle to immediately exhibit violent structural shaking and pull aggressively toward the ditch, creating an imminent danger of handling failure and a high-speed collision.Confirmation: The vehicle safety defect and inflation failure were officially confirmed and documented via a physical inspection by certified dealer Round Rock Toyota (Service Advisor Bryan Sanders).Symptoms: Extreme, immediate physical steering wheel vibration and severe vehicle pulling. They intentionally put a critical care patient out on the road with a tire turned into a bomb and then destroyed the CCTV footage.

2019 Toyota Camry with UA80 8-speed automatic transmission experienced complete transmission failure. Vehicle was diagnosed by a mechanic confirming transmission failure. Toyota was contacted for goodwill assistance under case number 260701001190. Toyota has missed multiple promised supervisor callbacks and has not resolved the matter. This transmission is currently the subject of three federal class action lawsuits alleging Toyota knowingly sold vehicles with defective UA80 transmissions prone to premature failure due to heat buildup and defective software programming.
