- #11754611August 3, 2026STRUCTURE:BODY
1. Component / System Failed: - The primary exterior paint and clear coat layer completely separated from the factory electro-coat (E-coat) primer on the vehicle's body structure (specifically near the rear quarter panel, roof pillar, and doors). The vehicle and affected component are available for inspection upon request. 2. Safety / Risk to Safety: - While driving at highway speeds (65+ mph), large, thick sheets of brittle paint layer detach and fly off the vehicle. This creates an unexpected road debris hazard for trailing motor vehicles, potentially causing driver distraction or windshield impact for vehicles behind me. Furthermore, large paint loss around the roof/windshield pillars creates noticeable glares and glare reflection in direct sunlight, compromising visual clarity. 3. Dealer / Professional Confirmation: - Yes. I brought the vehicle to a local Toyota dealership service center. The service department confirmed the paint detachment, noting it matches the known factory primer adhesion failure pattern addressed under Toyota Customer Support Program ZJB. However, they stated the extended program window had elapsed and refused coverage. 4. Prior Inspections: - The vehicle has been inspected by a Toyota dealership service department. It has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives as no collision has occurred yet. 5. Warning Lamps, Messages, or Prior Symptoms: - No dashboard warning lights or messages appeared prior to the failure, as this is a structural/body paint adhesion defect. The issue first appeared as minor blistering/bubbling along the panel edges without any external impact or stone chip damage, and rapidly progressed into large, multi-inch sections peeling off down to the bare grey primer.

- #11754226August 1, 2026VISIBILITY/WIPER, BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING, SEATS
Driver seat feels like something is loose in the back and is popping randomly almost like somebody’s kicking you in the back. It can be very distracting while driving. This happened on the 2026LE I had that I turned in because of that problem. I’ve had it seen several times by the dealership for this issue and there’s no solution. There’s also an issue with the wiper blades going extremely too slow for rain, especially in South Florida with weather that includes torrential downpour. You cannot safely see even at full speed wiper. This may seem like a time in which you should just pull over, but I was born and raised driving in South Florida in the rain and I’ve had multiple vehicles that I’ve never had this issue before. Electronic system can be fidgety. The rear cross traffic warning stopped working. I was not aware and did not realize I had somebody in close proximity that could happen accidentally hit.

Everytime I break and accelerate there’s a popping noise coming from the middle back part of the driver seat. I took it to a Toyota dealerships and they drove it and it did the same thing. And all they could do was tell me wait until there’s a recall.

Went in to get a service done for my vehicle and all the highlighted areas were the problem. They stated models from 2019-2022 The Camrys all have had transmission issues. I still have my car and it’s working, but I don’t want to pay for a new transmission when Toyal manufacturing has been aware of these models and issues.

- #11753793July 30, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, POWER TRAIN
While actively moving at highway speeds on July 13, 2026, the vehicle suffered an instantant, total loss of all 12V electrical auxiliary power. The dashboard flashed 'Hybrid System Malfunction' and 'Drive-Start Control Malfunction' before all digital instrument clusters, center infotainment displays, and cabin lights went completely dark. Power steering and braking assist dropped to emergency backup thresholds, creating an extreme safety hazard. The vehicle was moved to a dealership where it has remained disabled for 17 days waiting on factory engineering guidance.

My transmission is experiencing slipping, which causes the engine to rev up without delivering power to the wheels when I accelerate. This delay in gear engagement creates a high-safety risk during merges and passes because my vehicle cannot match traffic speeds predictably. Also, when pulling out onto a busy road I am not able to do it normally, I have to do it very slowly because it will miss and the engine revs up. This is a huge concern for all of us Toyota owners with this type of transmission. I see the history and issues have been know for quite sometime and Toyota has done nothing about it.

Annotated § 55-24-101 et seq. that my 2026 Toyota Camry is a "lemon" due to a substantial safety defect that remains unremedied. Specifically, the vehicle is subject to a safety recall regarding "loss of drive power while driving at higher speeds or a vehicle fire could increase the risk of a crash or an injury.", which substantially impairs the safety and use of the vehicle. As of the date of this letter, my vehicle has been out of service for 30 calendar days because the authorized dealer, Capital Toyota, has informed me there is "no remedy" available to safely repair the vehicle. I am hereby requesting that Toyota provide a full refund of the purchase price, $32,799, or a comparable replacement vehicle. Please contact me within ten (10) days of receipt of this letter to coordinate the resolution of this matter. Sincerely, [XXX] Toyota Motor replied they just going to fix it when it becomes available INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Multiple door actuator locks are faulty and broken, conveniently just out of warranty. The first right passenger door lock broke/faulty in October 2025, leading me to discover a class action lawsuit was filed against Toyota for faulty actuators. This can be found here: [XXX]. This faulty door lock was fixed as a goodwill gesture from Toyota; The same issue occurred recently for the front driver door, leading me to bring it to the dealership to confirm the issue and note that the actuator is "faulty" and needs replacement. Toyota refuses to cover this ongoing issue with the door actuators and is refusing to fix this concern or part. This is a major safety issue in case of a crash; if the driver's door is the only way to leave the vehicle, a faulty locking and unlocking leaves me liable for being trapped in said vehicle. The transmission is failing after about 65,000 miles (7 years from first use). It can be inspected upon request. My safety is at risk in that the transmission is steadily getting worse and could fail at any time or any speed. The transmission failure was diagnosed and confirmed by a local Toyota dealer. There are no warning lights. A high-pitched whine is heard while driving which gets higher with faster vehicle speed.

The Panoramic Moonroof suddenly is stuck in the vented position. It wont open more or close. Just get a clicking noise. This appears to be a very common issue amongst buyers of this generation of toyota. It started raining/hailing when I had it opened and could not close it I had rain falling down on me getting in my eyes and hail hitting me while driving which was a big safety issue.
