On [XXX] we charged enough more than 80% limit to travel towards Knoxville . The vehicle indicated we have enough charge to reach Knoxville supercharger. Kindly note our vehicle has set like that it can’t go more than 80mph. While we’re closer to severville, the vehicle still indicated that I need to drive to Knoxville but indicated battery percentage will be -2% means we will not be able to drive safely and reach Knoxville supercharge as family and might be stranded in middle of night somewhere without any help and safety compromised. This is series issue in vehicle diagnostic and projection while driving it and trusting to take us to right place with proper guidance to supercharger availability. It created a great panic to our family in middle of night. This has to be investigated for misguiding the customers about mileage model-y can go and it’s capability to project supercharger availability to safely drive with family. We panicked and found out supercharger [XXX] in [XXX] in Sevierville that model-y will NOT route or guide us to get charged. This caused reliability and approvals to let such vehicle to be sold which can put everyone at risk. What if we didn’t find our self the charger and vehicle suddenly stopped in middle of traffic that could have caused accident or rear-ending. It’s serious safety issue that vehicle is not evaluating and projecting right information to travel on Road. I have taken pictures while this happened and can attach them. Also we all can witness evidence on this whole safety problem we experienced. Reporting this to ensure no other citizen should be put thru such safety issue on a vehicle that runs in American soil. A suspension bolt fell off while making a U-turn. It was linked to the lower arm. Hear a loud pop while backing out and made a left input on the steering wheel to complete the turn but the steering wheel will not turn. Check the right front wheel and it was toed inward. Called AAA and they where able to re-install the bolt. AAA also has also mention that another bolt was loose and about to fall off. He did not specific which bolt was also loose. Car was driving to a Tesla service center and they inspected the front and rear suspension. When asked why this had happen, the service advicer wasn't clear but stated bolt was loose from factory or at another service center. The car did not have previous work don't on suspension. FYI, we where traveling on freeway speed for about 2 hrs before the bolt fell off.

I bought aftermarket wheel covers for my Model Y from Tesmanian in August 2023. One flew off while driving in July 2024, and it was an extremely scary situation. I did not hit any pothole or strong bump or anything. It just popped right off. When I inspected my other wheel covers, they were in really bad shape. Many of the clips had failed (see pictures of two different wheel covers), and the wheel covers were likely imminently to fly off. I immediately contacted Tesmanian about this unsafe product. Tesmanian has completely ignored my safety concern and failed to protect the consumer - I have not heard from them following the last date I contact them, which was 4 August 2024 (see attached email chain). If one of these flies off a wheel at high speed, it has a legitimate potential to result in an accident. Tesmanian needs to immediately pull this product off the market, alert everyone who purchased this item as to the unsafe nature of the product, as well as provide a full refund to for all orders placed. Tesmanian's handling of this unsafe product is unacceptable.

Whenever turning a clicking sound is occurring underneath the driver seat. The seat does not seem to be properly secured from the factory. Tesla said it does not seem to be a safety concern over the phone and will not work to get my vehicle into the service department in a reasonable timeframe. Many weeks to schedule with no alternative.

My Tesla car (Y model) had a glitch (malfunction) that caused it to suddenly brake twice when there was no objects in the road. I had my accident on [XXX] on [XXX] when the car enabled emergency brake for no reason when I was driving in my lane with no objects in its way. I was able to gain control of the tesla back and thankfully nobody hit me as a result. The second glitch happened couple minutes later when the phantom braking spinning my car around causing it to hit the concrete barrier and causing a damage to the car. - #11606372August 4, 2024FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Tesla's autopilot/Full Self Drive feature is reading Minimum Speed Limit signs as the speed limit and slowing to 40 mph on 70 mph highways. This is happening to many Tesla owners who are talking about it on social media platforms like Reddit. The cameras usually read speed limit signs and either slows or accelerates to match the posted speed limit. With the most recent software update it's now reading Minimum Speed Limit signs and sometimes random highway signs, such as GA 25, and slows to 25 mph. It was dangerous for me specifically when I was passing a slow-moving big rig this past weekend. As I passed the truck doing roughly 75 mph the car saw a minimum speed limit sign and immediately slowed to 40 just as I was getting back into the right lane. That's downright dangerous.

My tesla frunk has opened twice without warning or command on, [XXX] and [XXX]. This is after the 2024.20.3 update that was supposed to fix it. Jason from roadside assistance had me do a soft reboot and hopes it won't open in the future. Thankfully both incidents occurred in the parking lot. Conclusion is that Tesla did NOT fix the issue and there will be severe accidents in the near future. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The automatic windshield wipers will not turn on during rain and mist. Also the wipers will not turn on when there is water and visibility is very poor. For unknow reason the car jammed the brake almost bringing the car to a stop on the freeway on cruise control and nearly caused a pile up.

- #11605643July 31, 2024VISIBILITY/WIPER
I have a complaint about the wiper system. The wiper settings include "Off", "Auto", and numbers 1-4 corresponding to different wiper speeds. The "Auto" detection is based on the front facing camera rather than any rain sensors, and is incredibly inconsistent. It regularly turns on the wipers in completely clear and dry conditions and often fails to turn on the wipers even in heavy rain. This would be more of an annoyance than an issue if it were possible to adjust the wiper speed manually, but it seems that the wipers still utilize some form of auto detection even when set to numbers 1-4. In this particular incident, I was driving in heavy rain, and had the wipers set to "4", the highest setting. Even in this setting, the wiper speed would often slow down regardless of the weather conditions, drastically reducing visibility in an unpredictable manner. At one point, the wipers, still manually set to the highest setting, stopped altogether, and I instantly lost all visibility and I had to emergency brake, as I could not see the road. On the highest setting, the wipers stopped for well over a second, and did not start again until I pressed the wiper button, restarting the wipers. It is one thing to rely on a proprietary and unreliable detection system when wipers are set to "Auto", but I feel it is a major security issue to deceptively allow this unreliable rain detection to override manual wiper settings set by the driver to the extent that the wipers may stop moving entirely in the middle of a downpour on the highest setting.

Since the recall earlier this year on for the Autopilot, I now have a car that is actually more dangerous as it emits a very jarring audible warning when I engage the Autosteer option. This has actually caused me to jump in my seat and cause me to turn the wheel creating a dangerous situation. Not only is this a potential accident waiting to happen, it is also superfluous as the driver is the one who pulls in the turn signal stall to engage the Autopilot and the Autosteer functionality. I do not need a very loud and startling tone to sound advising me that the Autosteer function is engaged. Please remove this as it is creating a dangerous driving environment. I have friends who also have Teslas and they confirm this hazardous condition exists in their cars as well. Thanks.
