My 2024 model Y experienced a steering rack failure. It took three steering racks for Tesla to fix the issue. I was given the vehicle back and the same issue occurred two weeks later. This time it was worse, including failure of the entire power steering issue.

SUSPENSION
I was driving home and turned the wheel to the left to back up into my driveway when I heard a loud grinding noise. The car came to a complete stop and wouldn’t move forward or reverse. I got out of the car walked around and saw two large bolts laying on the floor. Bent down to look under the car and saw the lower control arm on the right front laying on the ground. Apparently, the two bolts had come loose somehow and the control arm dropped. Thankfully, it occurred in front of my house and not on the highway, which I happened to be on five minutes prior.

SUSPENSION
the rattling sound is getting louder after 13000 miles on my model Tesla Y and Tesla denied the warranty. It happens to my model 3 as well with VIN# [XXX] and that time they fixed it under warranty. I was told by the Tesla employee who inspect my model 3 and she confirmed it's a very common problem happen in Tesla. I owned cars in my life and first time I experience the rattling sound like that. SEAT BELTS
One of the rear seat belts will not latch. The buckle will go about 3/4 of the way in, but will not latch completely. It feels like there is something preventing the buckle from inserting compeltely. This puts our family at risk because one of our children cannot buckle their seatbelts when riding in the car. This has been present since we bought the car; it was delivered to us on August 11 and was not functioning upon delivery.

i was dropping my daughter to school making a right turn on a light i heard a pop made an appointment with tesla for them to check what was it.. was still able to drive the car for 2 hours for some errands then around 10:30 i heard a thud looked at my rearview mirror saw bolts falling off my car was able to pull over in safe place then check my car saw the right wheel was off then check under saw the control arm or stabilizer im not sure fell off i wasnt driving fast it just failed…

Driving north on [XXX] just north of Red ond Oregon on a 2 lane section at sunrise with traffic aware cruise control set the Tesla braked aggressively when a semi approached in the oncoming lane. Neither vehicle crossed the center line but the crash alarm blared and the car braked almost causing a rear ending accident. The contact owns a 2022 Tesla Model Y. The contact stated while driving 20-25 MPH, the hood unexpectedly opened, struck the windshield, and obstructed the visibility of the road. The contact was able to pull into a parking lot. The contact stated that while attempting to close the hood, he noticed that the hood struts were completely damaged. The contact removed the struts and closed the hood manually. The vehicle was taken to a Tesla Service Center, where the contact was informed that the vehicle data recorder was missing information on the failure. The Tesla Service Center replaced the windshield at the owner expense. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V554000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages, Electrical System); which the contact related to the failure. The Tesla Service Center informed the contact that the hood repair could not be covered under the recall because the failure could be related to an aftermarket accessory that the contact had installed on the hood. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 28,000.

AIR BAGS, SERVICE BRAKES, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
We were about the park in the marked parking lane and the vehicle unintedly accellerated, the brakes did not work and we saw message "Automatic emergency brake not available" and Air bags not available. We tried to control the vehicle to avaoid crashing into the porch of the infront apartment and steared the speeding vehicle and the vehicle hit the pillar of the aparement and finally came to halt few meters away in the parking lot as the front right wheel broke. 1. The ADAS Automatic emergency breaking seems failed 2. Forward collission warning seems not working 3. The safety of the driver and the passenger were at risk while the collission happened 4. I am not sure if the similar incidents happened or can be reproduced by the dealer/manufacturer. 5. Vehicle components inspected by the Tesla collission center but no software logs inspected and they said that they cannot get the device crash/event logs. 6. At the incident/while the incident was underway we saw few message that displayed "Automatic emergency brake is not avaiilable" and "Air bags are not available"

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Adaptive cruise control frequently rapidly decelerates (phantom braking). This can occur on empty roads in excellent weather conditions, but happens every time I have used the cruise control. The rapidity of the deceleration creates a significant risk of being rear ended. I have stopped using cruise control as it is too dangerous. This has been a noted problem on multiple Tesla models for multiple years. So far Tesla or NHTSA has not addressed the problem.

Warning popped up for Faulty Passenger Seat Belt Tensioner. On checking, the seat belt tensioner was broken and the whole seat mechanism had come off. This surprised serious safety incident happened without anyone sitting on Passenger side or using the seat belt.

LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION, UNKNOWN OR OTHER, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS
This is a complaint regarding a malfunction of the Tesla Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature, which resulted in damage to my vehicle and may potentially pose a significant safety risk to public. On 07/02/2024, my newly purchased Tesla [Model-Y 2024] was parked next to a pillar in a parking garage. After ensuring that the Full Self-Driving sign was on, I activated the FSD feature. However, as soon as the function was engaged, the vehicle instantly took off and made a right turn. This sudden and unexpected action caused the right side of the back passenger door to scrape against the iron guardrail on the pillar and caused damages to the right back passenger door and a portion of right back fender. This action happened so sudden that did not have the chance to react and take manual control. I contacted Tesla to report the issue and seek assistance, but after +4 weeks of contacting and restless following up with Tesla service teams, Tesla stated that the software was functioning properly and denied any responsibility for the malfunction, and they closed my case without offering any resolution or further investigation. Luckily, this incident happened in a confined parking garage. It could have resulted in more severe damage or injury had the circumstances been different. Additionally, Tesla's dismissal of the issue and refusal to accept responsibility is deeply concerning, especially about the reliability and safety of their Full Self-Driving technology. I sincerely request your office to investigate into this incident, and I hope you could advise any appropriate action to examine and address this issue. I attached a few photographs of where my vehicle was parked before the FSD was turned on, and the damages on both my vehicle and the guardrail at the time of the incident. I am more than happy to provide any further information or clarification. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your guidance and assistance.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
While driving straight on a 2 lane divided highway, the Traffic Assisted Cruise Control decided it needed to slow itself down significantly to 15 MPH under the speed limit (posted speed limit was 65 MPH). There were no vehicles in front, behind, or beside my vehicle. The breaking occurred when it came across a line break where cars from the opposite side of track could turn left onto a service highway but no one was in that divide nor in the turn lane. There was no warning or any obvious indication that the vehicle should harshly slow down for any safety reason, where in fact is there was a vehicle behind me, it could cause a crash. I made a request for Tesla to repair the vehicle, but in my attached photos, you can see that they admit to the issue being software related and insisting that it is an unrepairable problem until a software update can be issued.

Over last several weeks, I noticed a pungent smell in the cabin on my 2023 Tesla Model Y. The smell is intermittent but has me concerned. I left voice messages at the local Tesla service center but they have not reached back out to me. The Tesla app complaint directed me to the Tesla service center. I would like to get a response back from the manufacturer as they have long wait times on the phone and are not replying back to the messages

Driving [XXX] enroute to Houston from Peoria, AZ, on cruise control, the auto braking activated aka ghost braking, causing the car to extremely brake. No other cars or trucks near us and no signs in area that might affect cruise control. I thought this was fixed! Totally unsafe. Luckily no one was behind us. We were driving on a 2 lane highway, when we came to an intersection with a center turn lane the car panicked and swerved left and then braked and disengaged the autosteer/cruise control. This was not with autopilot, just autosteer.

We were on the freeway with cruise control on and the car slammed on the brakes. It automatically slowed 15mph while in front of another vehicle. The cause was that it hallucinated a person in the lane of the road, I could see the "person" on the screen of my car. However there was no person or hazard in the way.
