Shortly after leaving my house I glanced at the digital readout for my speed and noticed that the instrument cluster was blank. I pulled over, stopped my Jeep, then restarted it to see if that would correct it, which it did not. I took it to a reputable auto/electrical garage who at first noticed a master fuse block blown and replaced the fuse block. That didn't correct the instrument cluster however but they did find a recall 30B for 2020 Jeep Wrangler. I called Stellantis (1 800 334 9200) today, Feb 16th . I was told by 3 different people in 3 different departments that even though there is a safety recall on 2020 Jeeps my VIN# isn't included. I asked why not and was told that it depended where the Jeep was made. They also told me that the repair will be at my expense. This doesn't seem fair to me because the recall is a safety issue to replace the instrument panel cluster free of charge. Just because my Jeep VIN# wasn't included doesn't mean it wasn't going to fail like the others that were included!! I have no readouts on my dashboard and am sure it won't even pass inspection now because of that, let alone serious safety concerns without warning lights. I have to ask you, SHOULDN'T MY JEEP BE INCLUDED IN THIS SAFETY RECALL AND BE CORRECTED BY THE MANUFACTURER?!?! Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter! EV Battery recall without resolution. After receiving the recall notice and scheduling service at the dealership, the Jeep Was kept for 6 weeks and they replaced both the EV battery and the starting 12v battery. After driving the vehicle for less than a week, the EV battery started making gurgling and bubbling sounds after starting and continued for about 30 sec - 1 minute after turning off power. No message or warning lights have indicated any type of issue. The dealership said the car is not safe to drive and asked me to have it towed to the shop. I have had to pay almost $3,000 out of pocket for a rental because I use my car for work. My reimbursement is still processing and my vehicle is back in the shop. This was the 4th attempt to upgrade the software and the first time replacing the battery to my knowledge.

1. Loss of motive power at freeway speeds (drops to ~40 mph) despite >40% battery charge 2. Uncommanded switching between electric and gas propulsion; driver cannot control the transition 3. Unintended acceleration in reverse / tire spin even after releasing accelerator 4. Steering wheel shaking at highway speeds → potential loss of control ***All of these items create a high risk of rear-end crash, parking-lot collision, and pedestrian/property hazard This is not “normal hybrid operation.” It is an intermittent propulsion control failure (loss of power + uncommanded acceleration behavior) that materially affects safe operation, so it should be handled as a warrantable defect and a safety defect, regardless of recall status. And because the vehicle cannot reliably maintain electric propulsion and instead experiences unpredictable loss of power and forced transitions to the gasoline engine—even with significant battery charge remaining—it is not functioning as a hybrid/electric vehicle as advertised. I paid an additional premium for hybrid/electric capability, but due to these propulsion-control failures the vehicle cannot be safely or consistently operated in electric mode and therefore is not providing the advertised hybrid/electric functionality.

The hybrid propulsion system in my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe intermittently malfunctions while driving. The “D” (Drive) indicator on the gear selector begins flashing, and the engine RPMs suddenly decrease without warning. During these events, the vehicle loses propulsion power and responsiveness. After several seconds, the vehicle may return to normal operation. This failure affects the hybrid powertrain and transmission system. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This condition creates a serious safety risk because the sudden loss of propulsion reduces the vehicle’s ability to accelerate or maintain speed in traffic. This is especially dangerous when merging, crossing intersections, or driving at highway speeds, as it increases the risk of collision due to loss of power and reduced vehicle control. The vehicle has been evaluated by a Jeep dealership service department. The dealership has not provided a permanent repair, and the manufacturer recall affecting the hybrid system remains open and unresolved. The recall repair has not been performed, and the hybrid malfunction continues to occur. The vehicle has been inspected by dealership personnel, but the issue remains unresolved. The dealership indicated that replacing the 12-volt battery may help, but no definitive root cause has been identified, and the hybrid system malfunction continues. There were no battery warning lights prior to or during the failure. The primary symptom is the flashing “D” indicator and sudden decrease in RPMs, followed by temporary recovery. This indicates a malfunction of the hybrid propulsion system. This unresolved hybrid system failure presents an ongoing safety hazard and loss of propulsion while driving.

Safety Concern – Steering Instability / Death Wobble – 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara To Whom It May Concern, I own a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara with approximately 30,000 miles. I am writing to formally document and request a resolution for a recurring and severe steering instability commonly referred to as “death wobble.” The vehicle experiences violent front-end oscillation after encountering normal road conditions (e.g., highway speeds and minor road irregularities). This condition poses a significant safety risk to me, passengers, and other drivers. This issue has been widely documented in Jeep Wrangler models and addressed in various Technical Service Bulletins concerning steering dampers, ball joints, track bars, and front suspension components. Given the known history of this condition in Jeep vehicles, I am requesting: A full diagnostic inspection of all steering and suspension components. Confirmation of any applicable Technical Service Bulletins. Repair or replacement of defective components at no cost. Written documentation of findings and repairs. This vehicle has been properly maintained and has low mileage for its model year. A violent steering oscillation at highway speed is not normal wear and tear — it is a safety defect. If this issue cannot be resolved under warranty or goodwill assistance, I will pursue escalation through Stellantis Customer Care, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and applicable consumer protection or lemon law provisions. I am requesting written confirmation of how this matter will be addressed. Sincerely, Cindy Rossbach 29872 Milby Drive Easton, MD 21601 410-829-2098 [email protected] VIN: 1C4HJXENOMW771106

The dash displayed multiple warning ICONS and I carried the Jeep to a mechanic. They discovered that the ABS Module, which is the anti braking system, had a fault error and needed to be replaced. After multiple attempts have found out that this particular ABS Module, OEM Part number (68145835AE) is no longer available by Jeep Chrysler and has not been available for the past few years. This means the Jeep is not safe to drive if the roads are wet or icy due to the possibility of loosing the brakes from skidding/loss of control of the vehicle.

The ABS control module has failed. Anti-lock brake and stability management systems, in addition to vehicle descent control are malfunctioning. This renders the vehicle extremely unstable and difficult to drive. Stellantis is aware of the problem and reports no replacement parts are available and has not issued a recall. The vehicle has low milage and has never been in an accident.

I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe with approximately 14,000 miles. The vehicle is subject to multiple safety recalls involving fire risk and potential catastrophic failure. Recall 1 involves the high-voltage battery. The manufacturer instructed owners not to charge the vehicle and not to park near structures due to risk of fire. The recall notice states that not charging may lower the risk of fire. Recall 2 indicates that manufacturing contamination (dust/debris) may cause fire or catastrophic engine failure. No remedy is currently available and no repair timeline has been provided. To perform the battery recall, the dealership advised that the vehicle must be charged. However, the dealer indicated limited charger availability and no loaner vehicles, requiring the vehicle to be left for multiple days. Recall 1 has been repaired, but it took multiple attempts because the dealership was not properly equipped to handle it. Recall 2 remains outstanding. Due to manufacturer safety instructions and unresolved recall conditions, the vehicle cannot be safely or normally operated as intended. There is now a pattern of recalls involving acknowledged safety risks with potential fire and catastrophic failure. I sought manufacturer-sponsored arbitration regarding these safety concerns. Relief was denied on the basis that risk of catastrophic loss does not constitute a defect unless a failure event occurs... I am submitting this complaint due to concerns regarding vehicle safety, operability, and the absence of a timely remedy.

After first month the trouble began. It’s a diesel. Many times this car has stalled in traffic — while stopped in traffic and while driving at high speeds. Everything just turns off and steering wheel locks up. It says to put in park. After many tries to start, it will turn back on. Has been taken to dealer many times and nothing has worked. I’ve left Jeep there for months at a time, and they still can’t fix it. This is a safety hazard. Someone might get killed by this. How can this be allowed? We need help desperately.

Jeep Wrangler JK ABS Module Issue: History, Stellantis Response, and Safety Concerns Background: The Discontinued ABS Module Problem Jeep Wrangler owners (particularly Wrangler JK models from 2011–2018) have been plagued by failures of the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) control module – a critical component that controls the vehicle’s anti-lock brakes and stability control. The problematic part is commonly referenced by Mopar part number 68259556 (with revisions AA, AB, AC, AD, AE for 2014–2018 Wranglers). In recent years, this ABS module was discontinued by the manufacturer and put on indefinite backorder, leaving owners unable to obtain a replacement when the unit fails. The issue isn’t isolated to just one part number or model – similar ABS module shortages and failures have been reported in other Stellantis vehicles (including later Wrangler JLs and even Ram trucks) as well. Stellantis (the parent company of Jeep, formerly FCA) has not provided new stock of the module for an extended period, creating a nationwide shortage that has frustrated many customers and raised serious safety concerns. Timeline of the Issue and Part History Owners and mechanics first began noticing ABS module availability problems around 2021–2022, coinciding with supply-chain disruptions and corporate changes. Mopar initially listed the Wrangler JK ABS module as on backorder, with projected availability dates that kept slipping (one OEM parts source in early 2022 noted the part was backordered with no firm ETA). By 2023, the situation worsened: dealerships reported that no new units were being produced at all, effectively discontinuing the part without warning. Supplier Fallout: According to insider reports on Jeep forums, the shortage stemmed from a supplier issue – the original ABS module supplier for Jeep/FCA stopped production (allegedly after Stellantis attempted to cut costs), and it took the company over half a year to find a new supplier. Some reports claim Stellantis “tried to
