SummarySERVICE INFORMATION FOR FUEL GAUGE INACCURATE WITH DTCS STORED IN ECM SERVICE INFORMATION If a fuel level sensor has been diagnosed as sending an incorrect level signal, and one or more of the following DTCs are stored in the ECM, do not replace the entire âFuel Level Sensor Unit, Fuel Filter and Fuel Pump Assemblyâ (fuel pump assembly). The fuel level sensor can be replaced separately. ï· P0460 (FUEL LEV SEN SLOSH) ï· P0461 (FUEL LEVEL SENSOR) ï· P0462 (FUEL LEVL SEN/CIRC) ï· P0463 (FUEL LEVL SEN/CIRC) NOTE: Warranty claims referring to fuel level issues that result in the replacement of the entire fuel pump assembly will be charged back.

SummaryWireless Apple CarPlay® Update Voluntary Service Campaign ***** Campaign Summary ***** INFINITI is continuing to conduct a Client Service Initiative (CSI) on certain specific model year 2020-2021 QX80 vehicles that were previously included and subsequently removed and suspended from the initiative under PC839. The previous software update did not fully address the intended concerns. INFINITI is launching a new CSI that will provide clients with a free Infotainment software update, which includes Wireless Apple CarPlay®. The CSI will be available until June 30, 2022. The update will bring the vehicleâs software to current production level, improve system overall performance, and enable clientâs use of Apple CarPlay® wirelessly. For more information on Apple CarPlay®, please refer to: INFINITI Apple CarPlay® Features & FAQs INFINITIâs InTouch system is designed to improve the driving experience. Certain Model Year 2020 and 2021 INFINITI vehicles are already equipped with Apple CarPlay® to enhance iPhone usersâ experience with iOS13 and later, but they currently require a USB cord connection to an iPhone to use. The update eliminates the need to remove the iPhone from oneâs pocket or bag. ***** What Retailers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaign I.D. PC882 ⢠New vehicles in retailer inventory can also be identified by using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). ï§ Refer to IPSB 15-286 for additional information 2. Retailers should ensure any applicable vehicle has the latest AV control unit software installed, and use ITB22-013 to update the following software: ⢠Enablement of Wireless Apple CarPlay® ⢠Stability improvements and âbugâ fixes

This upgrade will bring the vehicleâs infotainment software up to current production level, improve system overall performance, and enable wireless use of current Apple CarPlay® features. RETAILER RESPONSIBILITY It is the retailerâs responsibility to check SERVICE COMM using Service Comm I.D. PC882 for the status on each vehicle falling within the range of this client satisfaction initiative, which for any reason enters the service department. If a vehicle subject to this client satisfaction activity was part of a retailer trade, the letter associated with that vehicle should be forwarded to the appropriate retailer for upgrade completion.

SummaryBATTERY QUICK CHARGE NOTICE SERVICE INFORMATION When charging the vehicleâs 12 volt battery with the high amperage quick charge function, the ignition should never be ON, or turned ON, while charging. Attempting to start the vehicle, or turning the ignition ON, while using the high amperage quick charge could potentially damage the fuel pump control module. ï· Only turn the ignition ON when either the ESM or a technical service bulletin service procedure states to do so, and only while using a battery maintainer or smart charger set to reflash mode, or a similar setting. ï· Battery voltage should not exceed 16V during a reprograming operation.
