AIR BAGS
Light blinks for (no airbag on passenger side) working. Light also blinks on dashboard showing no airbags. My car has just over 76,000 miles with meticulous maintenance and no crashes, accidents or even bumps. There are countless complaints, inquiries and threads on the internet regarding the above mentioned problem. I don't know if anyone has taken the time to make an official inquiry but it requires your scrutiny. The fix is a new seat and or an old one that the components still work. There are countless people drivng this vehicle without airbags. We need a fix that won't cost $10,000 (estimate from dealership). Also, where can one find a seat??? Inifinity needs to provide a fix that allows the airbags to function properly without the consumer having to find a new/used seat (and none are available nationwide). The modules are a mere $200 but integrating them into a seat is impossible, so the "fix" is a new seat. This problem exists as the cars age. I project that all inifinities with this style seat have, or are going to have, the same problem as they age. If not, what remedy did Infinity offer in its newer models, leaving the rest of us driving death traps, with no means or opportunity for safely find a "fix". STRUCTURE
The contact owns a 2011 Infiniti G37. The contact stated while parked, a water leak coming from the driver’s side floor was discovered. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the cause of the water leak was unknown; however, the independent mechanic also informed the contact that when the carpet on the driver’s side floor was removed there was a towel underneath. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.

My vin # [XXX] comes up as a 2 door 2011 infiniti g37. Mine is a 4 door. The problem is the air bag light started to blink and the airbag light would show passenger airbag. I've researched enough about the takata air bag recall and the 2011 infiniti g37 is a part of that recall. It's mind boggling just thinking about the dangers of my vehicle that I need to get to and from work daily as well putting anyone on the passenger seat. I just purchased a 2012 Infiniti G37 and love the car. Once I drove off the car lot I noticed the dashboard was extremely sticky and shiny and appears to be melting. Every time the dash gets in the sun and heat it gets worse. It causes a glare on the windshield that is blinding. I'm afraid the blind spots are going to cause me to hit a person or another car. I contacted Infiniti and they said there is nothing they can do since the car is out of warranty. What can Infiniti do to resolve this dangerous situation?

Front passenger air bag occupancy sensor failure. Sensor is located on front passages seat and activates or deactivates passenger air bags based on occupancy and or weight. The vehicle has less than 90,000 miles. Passenger airbag/seat belt warning lamp on. Passenger airbag off indicator light remain on even when passenger seated. Repair cost estimated over $5,000. Vehicle will not pass inspection.

Sunroof faulty. I've had car less than 3 years. I work from home and keep car under a carport. After a downpour of rain when I was out of town the interior front sides and floor were soaked. I wash the car myself with hose because drive thru washes will have water come in thru side of front n back sides of the interior. Whe n I got the car th flooring was already lifted on driver n passenger front sides. The previous owner kept car garaged but apparentlythe car had sunroof drain issuesbeforei ownedit. . Thanks

I am the original owner of this 2009 G37 sedan with only 12K miles. This car has never been in an accident. It is perfectly maintained and sits in a garage 99% of the time. Last week the airbag light flashed on. The dealer said the error code was B1018 (Occupant Classification Sensor malfunction). The cost of the passenger seat cushion alone is $7,500. This problem was also found on the 2007 & 2008 G37 models and part of a NHTSA recall (#08V521000). I found this problem all over the internet and this NHTSA site for this model year G37. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS PROBLEM. Why isn't this part of the 2007/2008 recall when the sensor is bad in both instances?

2013 G37 with only 58K in miles. The passenger interior was flooded after some rainstorms. The dealer has provided me an estimate of $3,000 to repair the sunroof drain and the water damage to the body control module (BCM). Infiniti Consumer Affairs has been zero help. They just gave me the run around. There are tons of videos and posts regarding the defect with the sunroof drain.

Airbag warning light came on. Took the car to the dealer and they gave me an estimate of $10,858.62 to repair the airbag! I feel that this is a defect and should be a recall item as I have since read several complaints of the same exact problem! This car has been kept in the garage and only driven when the weather is beautiful! it only has 29,100 miles on it. We bought it from the Infinity dealer in Annapolis, MD in 2012.

The passenger airbag does not work. The light on the dashboard indicated it needed service. When I took it into the dealer, they said it was $7,000 to fix. (More than the car is worth for resale.) After some research, I’ve come across complaints about this on multiple sites & comment boards. This is a serious safety issue. I can no longer have passengers in my car (such as my children). Something has to be done.

The firewall drain grommets for the sunroof drain line have needed to be replaced three times over the past 5 years. This is a well known design defect. Many Infiniti owners have complained about rain water ruining the interior foot wells on both the driver and front passenger areas AND causing damage to electronics inside the car. The design flaw issue is very expensive to repair, and to add insult to injury, the costly repair does NOT last for more than a couple of years. These vehicles should have a recall issued, which is the only real way to get the Infiniti car manufacturer's attention. Otherwise, vehicles will continue to be sold with this known defect. Damaged electronics are dangerous because they are known fire and safety hazards. Infiniti needs to be held accountable.
