In June of 2023 at around 79,000 miles. I was driving on the highway and had a sudden loss in acceleration and would not go above 65 mph. During the inspection, the dealership ran the vehicle through 3 tests of oil consumption and it failed 2 out of 3 which did not result in a replacement of the oil pan system. My car continues to burn through oil at an increased rate (every 3000 miles). I know because the dip stick is completely dry when checking it. In July of 2024 at around 84,000 miles, while driving on the interstate, I experienced a loss in acceleration again. My Tucson would not accelerate over 65mph. I took it into the dealership and they found that my catalytic converter needed to be replaced. The replacement was estimated to cost around $5000. For each incident, there were no warning lamps that illuminated on the dash. The oil light did not come on nor did the engine light come on.

- #11605626July 31, 2024VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
While slowly pulling into a parking space at a local shopping center, my 2024 Hyundai Tucson Limited suddenly accelerated while I still had my foot on the brakes to stop. The acceleration was so sudden and intense that I had to swerve to avoid a head on collision with a car parked in front of me. It took me a few seconds to gain control of the car, as the engine was revving at a high acceleration rate and the brakes were not working as they should. Just as suddenly as it happened, it then stopped and I was able to regain control of the car. Had there been other cars in the parking slots nearby, there would have been no to way to avoid a collision.

- #11605615July 31, 2024FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
While driving my 2024 Hyundai Tuscon Limited, 55 mph in left lane on highway, with no cars directly in front of me and only one car alongside me in the right lane, my emergency braking red warning light suddenly came on as the car abruptly braked hard for no apparent reason. Within several seconds, I regained control of the car. Luckily there wasn't a car closely following me, which thankfully probably averted a collision. I have since made an appointment with the dealer from whom I purchased the car and am awaiting the results of their inspection of the car.

Have had to replace the regulator in all four windows. Seems to be a pretty common problem online. Reporting this so hopefully enough people say something that Hyundai has a recall and reimburses us for the repairs. Thanks

The drain plug was loose, even thought the mechanics ensured it was tightened. This is another case out of many of 2019 Hyundai Tucson owners who have found the drain plug to be faulty causing loosening and then falling out causing all oil to drain quickly and without warning. My engine unfortunately died mid drive while at the base of a large bridge, causing safety risks to myself and my passenger, as well as other drivers on the road. The engine lost so much oil at once giving no chance to even be warned about malfunction, as we were driving and it just fell out. My engine seized completely. This is not the first time Hyundai parts have done this, according to other owners, mechanics and other forums. Hyundai still has no recall for this faulty parts and offers no assistance to remedy a potentially life threatening situation.

The contact owns a 2019 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving at 5 MPH, the vehicle slowed down. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the knock sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. While driving, a month later, the vehicle slowed down. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the knock sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The engine was replaced. Additionally, while driving, an unknown vehicle crashed into the rear of the vehicle, and it continued to move forward. The steering wheel became stuck and was uncontrollable. The driver shifted the gears to park and neutral. The vehicle was idling high and low. The driver depressed the push-to-start button, but the vehicle continued to move and drove onto the lawn over a flower bed and fence, went across a two-way highway, slowed down, and stopped. The vehicle was towed to a body shop. A police report was filed. There were no reported injuries, fire, or air bag deployment. The manufacturer was contacted to obtain the EDR box, and they sent an engineer who reported that the air bags were not supposed to deploy and was unable to duplicate the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.

I was driving in the main road with my grandkids and the vehicle just shut down . I bought it in November of 2023. I brought it back to carmax because it was hesitating and not acting properly and it was within my 90 day warranty and they said nothing was wrong . Motor seized and turbo no good a few months later and I owe 19000 on this car and they refuse to replace the motor since I’m second owner without a warranty they were suppose to give me . I had to get people to push my car to the side and wait 2 hours for a tow and now the garage says it’s 10-11000for a motor . Carmax just said they would pay for labor charges but that still leaves me with a hefty bill on top of what I owe . I told them to just take the car and give me another or pay for the motor and they refuse . My cars now sitting at my house because I can’t afford a motor . It’s a 1.6L motor with turbo . That price is a used motor :(

The rear turn signals on the 2023 Hyundai Tucson are on the rear bumper. They are never seen by any car or truck sitting behind you or next to you in your blindspot. I believe the 2022 & the 2024 also have this issue, and there are numerous complaints about it online, especially on Reddit and auto forums. They are dangerous. Cars too close behind you or next to you in your blindspot, will never see your signal, especially the larger cars & trucks or tall autos such as buses, garbage trucks, etc. Here is one of many articles & videos about this issue: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

There are no cars in front of my vehicle and it is not the collision warning but it will flash on the dash the the emergency brake is engaged in red, it will make a warning beeping noise and the car will brake on its own.

Car lunched from a traveling in traffic 50+ mph to 39 mph and then had to push the pedal to the floor to get it off the highway and on the side during 5 o'clock traffic. Said something about the hybrid battery and went dead. Dealer has had it for 11 days and still can't get it started. Apparently there are THREE batteries in relation to this hybrid and all 3 don't work and never seen this before. Since it's been at the dealer, hyundai has emailed me no less than 3 times that I need to check my lights because my battery is getting low all the while it has been completely dead and they don't even know it. Suffice to say, there was NO WARNING other than a couple of miles prior, my car lunched down to the 39 mph and I lunged on the gas and it picked back up again but it wouldn't do it a 2d time. They obviously still don't know about the vehicle being so dead 2 different tow trucks had to be called because even the tires were locked up. Just still receiving my messages I need to check my lights because my battery (NOT BATTERIES MULTIPLE) is low and it's not low, THEYRE ALL 3 DEAD. I was in a dangerous situation and always felt safe in a 2 yr old car with a full tank and hybrid battery backup and less than. 20k miles. IF EVER FIXED because service may have to send OUT OF STATE I will never buy a hyandai or hybrid again. The entire battery system broke down. Which killed the entire electrical system which now no one knows how to fix

On 5/27/24, my check engine light came on and the vehicle stayed to shimmy and shake each time I would press on the gas. Had the vehicle towed to the dealer for the #4 fuel injector assembly to be replaced. The same thing happened on 7/16/24 while traveling out of state. I was traveling on a highway and had to keep my emergency flashers on as I tried to coax the car to the next exit. Couldn't go above 25-30 mph. Had vehicle towed to a dealer for the #2 fuel injector assembly to be replaced. Now I am again without a vehicle because on 7/26/24, the same thing happened and I was told it is the #1 fuel injector. I was told by 2 different dealers that this is a known Hyundai Tucson issue but they are only allowed to replace what is coming up with an error code. They are not permitted to change all of the assemblies at one time, even though it would save them and Hyundai Corporate quite a bit of money in the long term. They've now paid to tow my car 3 times, paid workers 3 times the amount of money to replace what could've and should've been done the first time. The dealer was going to try to get the #3 assembly replaced now but there is no guarantee. I'm afraid that I'll have to be back there in another week or two for the last one. This is a serious issue that is not being addressed.

Defective operation of switch that controls shade panel on panoramic roof. A quick single rearward press should open the shade panel on the panoramic roof. Sometimes is does. More often than not a quick single press operates as a long-duration press and opens the shade panel *and* opens the panoramic roof. This was reported to the Hyundai mechanic at my initial warranty service and ignored. This issue was again reported to the Hyundai Service Manager at my second warranty visit and he successfully reproduced the issue during his own testing. Having the panoramic roof open unexpectedly may be a driving hazard, requiring the driver to respond to the unexpected circumstance, take their eyes off the road to reengage the control switch to be able to close the panoramic roof (what if it is inadvertently opened during a thunder shower, dust storm, or hail storm?)

While driving home from work, my engine all of sudden started making a loud knocking noise sounded like you were going up a roller coaster. The oil light started flickering and then the engine light came on. I honestly didn't know if I was going to make it home due to the noise and the car was shaking while driving. I had to have it towed to the dealership. The dealership confirmed the engine needs replaced. I can't even get a new engine anywhere because no one can order one or find one in stock new. I feel it is a safety issue because the engine could have failed on the highway while driving putting myself and others at risk of an accident or maybe even death.

While driving home from a doctors appointment my engine all of sudden started making a loud knocking noise, the oil light flickered on and off and the check engine light came on. I honestly wasn't sure if I would make it home with the loud noise the engine was making and the car was starting to shake while driving. I did have it towed to the dealership (I have 2 2017 Tucsons both currently at the dealership with blown engines under 60000 miles) and they confirmed the engine needed replaced. I feel this is a safety concern because the engine could have failed while driving putting myself and others at risk of an accident or maybe even death.

For a year my vehicle has this sort of loud noise, sort of a vibration , it has been consuming and burning large amounts of oil, to now where I'm having to put 1-2 Quarts of oil in a week. I was made aware from a mechanic at Hyundai there is a class action lawsuit for an engine defect where the rod bearing breaks which damages the engine and can cause either the engine to seize or catch on fire.. Hyundai refused to fix the engine until it is deemed a total loss despite them being aware my vehicle is already displaying the symptoms of this engine defect. This is so unsafe for not only myself and my family but other motorists .
