This article supersedes TSB 23-2240 to to add labor operation H and correct parts list. Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a no crank/no start with a battery draw and air conditioning (A/C) clutch engaged at all times. This may be due to an opened diode in the A/C clutch field coil damaging the output driver (field effect transistor YFET) in the body control module C (BCMC). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace the BCMC and A/C clutch field coil assembly.

This article supersedes TSB 23-2337 to update the Service Procedure and the causal part. Some 2022-2023 F-150 hybrid vehicles equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0420 and/or P0430 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to high sulfur content in the fuel. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM and remove sulfur from the catalytic converters.

This may be due to the software level of the SOBDMC. To correct this condition, perform the Service Procedure below to reprogram the SOBDMC to the latest software level via the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS).

Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles equipped with autowipers may exhibit an inoperative rain-sensing wipers feature, even when the feature is turned on in the Vehicle Settings menu. This may be due to the software level of the steering column control module (SCCM). To correct this condition, reprogram the SCCM using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) located under the SW Updates tab. To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS). This may be due to the software level of the image processing module A (IPMA). This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Engineering is working on a solution that is expected in Q1 2024. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments once the repair becomes available.

Do not replace or reprogram the SCCM, image processing module A (IPMA) or their components for this condition at this time. This DTC does not alert the customer, will not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that will reprogram the IPMA and is expected in late December 2023. Monitor OASIS for additional information.

Some 2022 F-150 vehicles may exhibit an inoperative headlamp after a body control module (BCM) software update. There may also be BCM diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B14E5:08 and/or B14E7:08 present. This may be due to a software incompatibility between the headlamp light emitting diode (LED) control module and the BCM. If this condition occurs after a BCM software update, confirm the BCM is at the latest software level and replace the headlamp LED module on the affected headlamp. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 417-01.

These may be due to a calibration parameter in the driver door module (DDM) and/or passenger door module (PDM). To correct the condition, reprogram the DDM and PDM using the latest level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool then perform the Power Door Window Initialization procedure for both the DDM and the PDM. Summary
Some 2021-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may exhibit the navigation feature in the center display screen only displaying imperial (feet and miles) units and not being able to change to metric (meters and kilometers) units. This may be due to the software level of the SYNC module (APIM). To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the APIM to the latest software level via a coordinated flash. NOTE: The APIM software update that addresses the symptom listed in this article may have been sent via Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) to connected vehicles that have automatic updates enabled through the center display screen. Enter the vehicle identification number (VIN) in Professional Technician System (PTS) and check the OTA Dashboard under the Connected Vehicle tab for OTA update history. If an update to the APIM has successfully completed recently and the customer is reporting the symptoms are no longer present, this article may not apply.

Some 2021-2023 F-150 Raptor vehicles may experience a rattle noise from the exhaust at the exhaust tailpipe actuators. This may be due to the exhaust tailpipe actuator valves rattling inside the muffler assembly. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) and install new exhaust tailpipe actuator and/or valve springs on the exhaust tailpipe actuator valves.
