Summary2022-2023 Escape and Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with 1.5L engines should add local fuel once the vehicle arrive to the dealership to reduce the risk of driving performance issues such as: rough operation, idle quality, engine misfires, lack or loss of engine power. These conditions may occur due to different fuel specifications between manufacturing plant and final market. Make sure that the vehicles in stock have local fuel added.

SummarySome 2020-2023 Escape/Corsair vehicles may exhibit a door ajar warning indicator or higher than expected efforts to fully close doors. Verify the hood/liftgate are not open. Confirm all doors are fully closed and latches are fully engaged. Doors will not fully close when lightly letting go of the door or letting it swing closed from a short distance under its own weight. Push/pull effort must be applied to doors while closing to fully engage latch and turn off the ajar signal warning. If doors are still not fully latching closed, manually adjust door striker position to allow for proper alignment and engagement to the door latch. The door hang position may also need to be slightly adjusted to achieve the same effect. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-03.

SummarySome 2021-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit DTCs U2100 and/or U3002 stored in the cruise control module (CCM), side obstacle detection control module LH (SODL), side obstacle detection control module RH (SODR), side obstacle detection control module C (SODCMC) and/or side obstacle detection control module D (SODCMD) after a module replacement. DTC U2100 may set when the module has not been properly configured after replacement. DTC U3002 may set when the module has been configured with the incorrect VIN. To correct this condition, verify that the module storing the DTC has been installed following the applicable Workshop Manual (WSM) Removal and Installation procedure. If the DTC is still stored, download and run the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Write application found under Toolbox, Multi-Module tab in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS).

SummarySome 2021-2023 Bronco Sport and 2020-2023 Escape vehicles may exhibit a rattle or flapping noise coming from the rear air extractors while driving. This may be due to the normal operation of the rear air extractors. To determine if this is a normal condition, perform a road test at 40 mph (65 km/h) or above. Inspect if the noise is coming from the rear extractors. During the road test alternate air conditioning (A/C) between fresh mode and air re-circulation mode. If the noise is eliminated when the A/C is in fresh mode, this is considered a normal characteristic of the vehicle and no repairs should be performed.

This is incorrect and opposite to what is displayed in the center display screen. The direction of travel should be to the right (or counter clockwise) around the roundabout. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in October 2023. Replacement/reprogramming of the IPC will not resolve this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.

SummarySome 2023 Escape vehicles built on or before 6-May-2023 may exhibit a condition where the power liftgate does not close when using the power liftgate control switches. The vehicle may exhibit diagnostic trouble codes B1454 and/or B1455. Prior to following Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostic procedures, remove the liftgate left/right/center upper trim panels. Refer to WSM, Section 501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation > Removal and Installation. Disconnect C4173 and C4172 and verify the resistance of the anti-pinch switches. Refer to the Wiring Diagram, cell 109. If the resistance is below 5.58K ohms, replace the affected switch(s). If both anti-pinch switches measure above specification, perform a power liftgate initialization and re-evaluate the concern. Refer to WSM, Section 501-03 Body Closures > General Procedures.
