2025 Chevrolet Tahoe, 6.2L L87, approximately 51,500 miles, rod-bearing/internal engine failure, complete engine replacement required. 1500 miles prior to engine failure the cam/lifters were replaced. Repair invoices are attached. I was told my warranty going forward would be the remaining miles left on my 60k power train warranty. This is not acceptable.

I am the original owner of my vehicle. It is essentially 4 years old and the evaporator coil has gone out on the vehicle. The evaporator coil goes passed just cooling the car. It affects the defrosting and temperature of the windshield for safety. The dealership is the one too have diagnosed the issue with the vehicle. It requires a complete disassembling of the dashboard on their part in order to repair. The only warning I received was the passenger's side of the car blew cool air, the driver's side blew hot air for a couple of days and then it went out completely. There was housing by the dashboard. When it rained, I could not defrost my windows. I was in a very unsafe situation.

My Vehicle has a 5,3 engine it now has 23000 miles. It goes to the dealership for all the oil changes. I check my dipstick before I took it in for service and warranty work for a third time first time at this dealership. But noticed there was no oil on the dipstick. So I went to auto zone and bought a new 3 gallon container and funnel. So they changed my oil and put it in and I got my vehicle back and I now bought a clear 2 gallon measuring bucket to see how much oil I had in it. I just videod my pour into the container and it is 3 quarts low. I was under the 7500-mile mark that gm requires you to change the oil. This is a new vehicle, and I shouldn't see this happening at all maybe 100000 miles but not 23000. I also just found out I have a one of a kind 2025 Tahoe with the new 2026 software that is completely messed up. The dealership wiped out critical engine data and no that is at zero when I picked it up. And the calculation for engine hours and idle is not the true numbers and it is corrupted. The other dealership didn't know my vehicle has the new data. So I can only assume they made a big mistake releasing this vehicle. So I also have a driver's seat that goes snap or clunk. Everything with GM has Bulletins. I didn't buy a 86000 dollar used piece of junk i bought a brand-new truck. And Gm will not let the dealership tear into the engine to find out what the noise is and the damage. I use a stethoscope and you can hear the lifters and rockers on the left bank, and the front makes strange noises and it has a hollow sound also. So sensor collision avoidance issues since the day I bought it. And with all the corrupt downloads from whatever software they used has destroyed my Tahoe along with the engine. I have video evidence also and the oil that just came out of my vehicle was gross dark and disgusting and smelled to high heaven. I need help

I am reporting a paint defect on my 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe. The paint on the hood and roof is peeling, flaking, and delaminating without any external damage or misuse. The failure appears to be progressive and worsening over time. The clear coat and paint layers are separating, exposing bare metal and increasing the risk of corrosion. This issue is widely reported by other owners of 2015–2020 GM full-size SUVs, including the Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade. These vehicles were manufactured at GM’s Arlington Assembly Plant and are currently the subject of an active class‑action lawsuit alleging defective factory paint application. Despite the widespread nature of this defect, General Motors has not issued a recall, service campaign, or extended warranty to address the problem. Repair costs are significant and require complete repainting of affected panels. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this paint delamination issue, as it appears to be a systemic manufacturing defect affecting a large number of vehicles and may lead to corrosion-related safety concerns over time. The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to a dealer, where the NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) remedy was completed with an oil change and oil cap replacement. Approximately three months later, while the contact's wife was driving approximately 45 MPH, the engine stalled. The driver was able to coast to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the engine had failed. The engine was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000.

- #11760405August 28, 2026ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
A couple weeks ago, the truck suddenly started running rough and the front collision avoidance system failure message displayed. Immediately took it to the dealership. Computer read out showed #7 fuel injector failed. Repaired and was fine. Yesterday, 8/27/26, same thing happened again. Immediately went to the dealership. Now #4 fuel injector failed. Service manager just called and states that Chevrolet does not have that injector and on backorder with no date of expected delivery. No other Chevy dealer has #4 fuel injectors either. Tells me that there is an overwhelming demand for fuel injectors that indicates a defect. Meanwhile, the truck is out of service and GM is not addressing the issue to replace all the defective injectors.

My vehicle had a pop and loss of power on the highway. After pulling over, I did not have a check engine light but did connect my code reader and found a P308. I felt unsafe to drive so I had it towed to a shop. I later found out the DOD system or lifter on valve #8 has failed and needs replacement. Factory recommends oil change at every 7k miles, I did them at 4K. My oil pressure was up to par with the small window of real time allowable oil pressure. The design was great on paper but one of the worst engines GM has ever made. I sincerely hope there is enough people complaining about these 2021 GM 6.2 & 5.3 engines!!

Engine locked up from crankshaft bearing failure, mega fuse blown My wife and I were driving 70mph on a highway when I lost the throttle and other power. I pulled over to the side the best I could but barely over the white line. It was a dangerous situation for us & tow trucks, the engine was locked up & the flat bed truck couldn't tow vehicle. The 2nd truck was a reaper style truck which was dangerous to setup on the side of highway. The dealership diagnosed and replaced engine to their guidelines. I requested the oil cooling lines & housing be replaced as well to avoid metal debris to enter new engine to avoid recurring engine failure. At first both requests were denied, then another dealer represntive said the oil lines would be replaced but the housing would not be. I even offered to pay for that replacement which was denied. I invested a lot into the vehicle, I was assured the original recall and engine oil change would be sufficient. I also purchased to dealer premium care package to really take care of my vehicle investment.Engine failure was around 29,000 miles. The engine failure happened on a Sunday morning, I didn't receive any loaner car or rental car until Thursday affecting my work transportation. Once the dealer rented me a car, I asked if I needed anything to pick up the car, dealer rep said no. Once at rental car place, I needed a credit card and ID, I was charged $250 for the time I had the rental car. The rental car was not close or comparable to my vehicle, which I still had to make payments while it was broken at the dealership. I really worry about my safety, reliability and travel going forward with this vehicle. I also am very concerned about the vehicle losing value due to known issues. There was no warning signs until the failure, I believe the dash message said 'please press start' or 'press start'. Overall this has been a tough and stressful situation with my expensive vehicle investment. Vehicle unavailable- 7/26-8/17

I am writing to express my disappointment with how the L87 engine recall was handled on my 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. I purchased this vehicle for approximately $82,000 and brought it to Kunes Chevrolet in Lake Geneva multiple times for scheduled maintenance. During my first visit after learning of the recall involving potential connecting rod and crankshaft defects, I specifically asked when my vehicle would be inspected and repaired. I was repeatedly told that I would receive additional information in the mail and that I would be contacted when repairs became available. Over the course of several oil change visits, I continued to ask about the recall. Each time, I received essentially the same response. During my most recent visit, I was informed that when the recall procedure became available, the dealership would listen to the engine with a stethoscope and then determine whether the vehicle required repairs or only a switch to a heavier oil viscosity. As a customer who invested $82,000 in a full-size SUV, I found that response extremely disappointing. The recall concerns involve engine components that could potentially lead to catastrophic engine failure. Being told that the solution may simply be listening to the engine and installing thicker oil did not inspire confidence in the long-term reliability of the vehicle. Ultimately, my confidence in both the vehicle and the handling of this recall deteriorated to the point where I no longer felt comfortable taking long trips with my family. I made the difficult decision to trade the vehicle in less than two years after purchase, resulting in an approximately $26,000 financial loss. I believe customers who invested significant amounts of money in these vehicles deserved clearer communication, a more proactive response, and a solution that restored confidence in the product. Unfortunately, my experience left me with serious trust concerns regarding both this recall process and General Motors' customer commitment.

I have 19,000 miles. After each oil change, the engine begins to idol rough, the vehicle violently shakes and the traction control and ABS turn off. The first time this happened it was determined that there was a cylinder (4) failure causing a missfire. This was corrected under warranty. A few months later immediately after receiving an oil change again, the same actions occurred. This time the computer is showing a cylinder (7) failure and engine missfire. This is very similar to what is happening on the 6.7 L GM recall l, but I don’t have the 6.7 I have the 5.8. I believe the issue is bigger than just the 6.7 L.

This vehicle is subject to Safety Recall N252494000 / NHTSA Campaign 25V274 for a known L87 6.2L V8 engine defect. Prior to the June 2025 recall notice, I incurred repair costs for the same defect at Schumacher Chevrolet, [XXX], on XXX ($405.63) and XXX ($2,755.76), neither of which resolved the issue. On XXX and again on 02/14/2025, the vehicle suffered total loss of propulsion on [XXX], once causing a missed professional licensing exam and requiring emergency roadside repair. The vehicle's engine replacement repair order remained open for 181 consecutive days (XXX) before GM authorized a full engine replacement under warranty. I submitted a written reimbursement demand to GM on XXX for $10,717.31 in documented losses under 49 CFR § 577.7. GM has not responded in writing and instead offered an unverifiable verbal credit of $3,000, which the servicing dealer has no record of. I am filing this complaint due to GM's failure to remedy this known, pre-notification defect within a reasonable time as required by 49 U.S.C. § 30120.
