• Unexpected "Audi pre sense front partial braking."
• Unexpected "Audi pre sense emergency braking."

In these situations, the "Audi pre sense symbol appears in the instrument cluster and an audible warning is issued." Notably, the hazard flashers are not activated, and the side windows remain closed when these interventions occur. Technicians often find that the concern cannot be reproduced during a test drive.

Diagnosis

When a customer reports an unexpected Audi pre sense warning, technicians are instructed to ask specific questions:

• When did the Audi pre sense front intervention take place (date and time)?
• Was the red Audi pre sense symbol displayed in the instrument cluster during the complaint?
• Was a warning tone issued simultaneously with the red Audi pre sense symbol?
• Were the hazard warning lights switched on or the side windows closed at the same time?

Following this, the technician performs the "Audi pre sense test program" using the ODIS diagnostic system.
