Vehicle was a 2021 Ram 1500 (60k miles) with no known problems or issues. Drove home during during rainstorm truck operated normally. Next morning truck started normally with an error message "Power Steering Unavailable". Truck then began to run through a series of "error messages" and windshield wipers turned on and truck would not shutdown, unless you disconnected the battery. Towed to dealership and after several weeks of diagnostics with the manufacturer's assistance (due to the number of errors) it was determined the failure was the Power Steering Module. Once the Power Steering Module was removed, all other modules came back online and functioned normally. Even though the dealership has seen multiple failures of this type, it was not on the recall for this truck. Had this failure happened with my family in the vehicle while driving, it could have had devastating effects...

I was told by the dealer that the exhaust bolts for the Y pipe to the extension pipe are broken causing my exhaust to be louder than normal. My truck is 4 years old and I expect that the exhaust hardware would last longer than 4 years but apparently not. This condition may allow exhaust fumes to leak into the cab area of the vehicle potentially leading to someone getting sick or worse causing an accident from potentially loosing consciousness while driving. I went to a forum where they discussed this issue of the broken bolts on the Dodge Ram Trucks.

The MPU system was going out caused engine noises, the engine didn't sound like it wanted to change gears i drove very rough to the repair shop, it looks to be like a well known issue on Dodges with Etourqe they are 3 to 6 months behind in parts manufacturing

Driving to work and my truck lost all electrical power. All display lights turned on and hazard light signal started blinking but the hazard lights were not actually on. I then lost all electrical power; power steering, hazard lights would not turn on, all dash lights and display lights, head lights at first and then the battery died a couple minutes after that started. I could not put the truck into neutral so I could push it to the shoulder of the highway. I had to put it in Neutral manually with the pull tab under the steering wheel. My Ram 1500 5.7L hemi etorque was towed to Andy Mohr Chrysler Jeep Ram. The service shop told me that the motor generator unit is on back order and it could take a month or 2 months for the part to come in.

The dashboard Leather is delaminating causing viewing of the heads up display and lower windshield to be difficult, It also causes condensation build up on the windshield because the leather is redirecting the air. This Truck has 10245 miles.

SUSPENSION
1. On August 14th, 2025, Rear Air Ride Suspension failed. Received a “ Service Air Suspension Immediately” warning light right before the air suspension failed and lost control of the rear suspension. Yes it’s available for inspection. 2. The rear shocks lost air and the vehicle started to drive erratically and bouncing up and down. Could not keep control of the steering due to this. 3. It was confirmed at the dealership 8/18/2025 when the dealer representative installed the diagnostic reader in my obd port of my vehicle they determined codes for air leak and possible faulty air compressor or rear Air shocks. 4. The vehicle nor it’s components have not been inspected by manufacturer, police or insurance representative. 5. No previous warnings of this issue.

I am submitting this complaint regarding a critical issue with my 2021 Ram 1500 equipped with the eTorque mild hybrid system. The vehicle has become inoperable due to the failure of the etorque alternator in this system. Unfortunately, Mopar—the official parts supplier—has not made this part available, and it has been on indefinite backorder for months. This is a known issue and has broken just outside of warranty. I'm in desperate need of this part and the backorder and supply time is unknown with no ETA.

I have owned this vehicle 10 months and for the third time now it is having the same reoccurring electrical issue. The first time the check engine light came on went to the dealer they hooked it up said just a battery drive it you will be fine. They turned the code error off. Left dealership drove to Home Depot and went to leave got in push the start button and the truck started making grinding noises and every error message for every safety device began cycling on the dash. After several minutes it all just stopped and the truck was dead no responses could not unlock or lock doors. Could not shift or do anything. It had to be towed to dealership. After two and a half weeks they said it was repaired some value was stuck open and drained battery and shorted everything out. They replaced valve and batteries. Within two months check engine light came on and vehicle was dead again. This time was able to jumpstart and took it back to dealership. Left it there they had it two weeks and said it was the battery. Claimed could have been faulty battery. Now here it is another two months and check engine light came on, truck wouldn’t start. Got a jump then every safety system error messages started cycling through again. Immediately had to disconnect both batteries to make it stop. Reconnected drive home to where it is dead as a paperweight. Called dealership and they say bring it in a week and half from now and they will get to it when they can. There is something majorly wrong with this truck. It is unreliable and not safe to drive. 100% lemon that I am stuck with due to negative equity that is growing as time passes. All the forums have people repeating same issues with their trucks as well. A coworker has same truck 1400 miles and his check engine light just came on as well. Please investigate and force them to provide a real solution for this year model truck.

I took my truck into the dealership for the second time because my tpms module was not functioning correctly. I would get an error about a mile into my travels saying it was unavailable. My second appointment the technician found the rear windshield is leaking water down through the back driver side and dripping water onto the module. Ram issued a previous recall for cars manufactured on or before Sept 30 2020. My truck was manufactured Nov 4 2020. The problem is the same but my truck some how was manufactured after the supposed fix date. It’s clear if you read on ram forums that tons of people are having the same issue. Rams fix is just sealing it but I have to pay out of pocket due to their failure of admitting the recall should go past Sept 30 2020 manufacture date.

I purchased a brand-new 2025 RAM 1500 Laramie, and from day one it has been a nightmare. Only TWO days after delivery, the truck completely died and had to be towed back to the dealership. Since then, it has been in for repairs FOUR separate times. The last time was [XXX], when it was towed again — and here we are, almost TWO MONTHS later, with my truck still sitting at RAM Greenway, untouched, no repairs, no updates, no solution. Nobody is working on it, and now they have the audacity to try to charge me for the rental car while they hold my truck hostage. Meanwhile, I’m still paying the monthly payment for a brand-new vehicle I can’t even drive. RAM Customer Care is absolutely useless — they just send copy-paste updates saying “the dealer is working on the vehicle” when clearly NOTHING is being done. Zero accountability, zero urgency, zero customer service. This situation has caused me extreme stress and financial loss. I depend on a reliable vehicle for my family and my daily life, and RAM has failed on every level. Do NOT buy a RAM vehicle. Do NOT do business with RAM Greenway in Orlando. I am writing as a concerned RAM owner facing a severe safety risk due to the unresolved OEM trailer brake controller (TBC) issue. I bought my truck to tow a travel trailer, which I cannot safely do without resolving this. Background: • Purchased 2025 RAM 1500 LARAMIE CREW CAB 4X4 (VIN: [XXX] ) in March 2025. My previous 2022 RAM’s TBC is incompatible with 2025 due to CAN-bus/electrical changes—this was not disclosed at purchase. • On April 3rd 2025, Mopar support incorrectly told me to buy PN 82219232AA. I later found I needed 82219240AB, which I ordered. Delivery was repeatedly delayed, then canceled in May with no alternative offered. • Opened Case [XXX] with RAM Customer Care on June 10th 2025—no resolution since. • I confirmed my truck is pre-wired with harness 68601443AA and only needs module PN 68569520AB and dash switch PN 68618899AA. I sourced these and scheduled install at Serra Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM for July 28th 2025. Initially told they could do it, but upon arrival, they refused, claiming it must be done at the factory. This is incorrect. Mopar document 82219232AB [XXX] ) provides dealers official instructions to install/activate the TBC, especially when the truck already has the factory wiring. Safety risk: I used a CURT Bluetooth brake controller as a temporary fix. It frequently loses connection, making it unsafe during sway, high winds, or oscillations. If it fails mid-trip, I lose trailer-only braking. Request: 1.Immediate coordination to install/activate the OEM TBC (Sales Code XHC + proxy alignment). 2.If not feasible, replace the vehicle with one having a factory TBC at no cost to me. The contact owns a 2023 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and towing a trailer, there was an abnormally loud sound coming from the vehicle. The contact drove the vehicle to the shoulder of the road and inspected the vehicle. While inspecting the vehicle, the contact became aware that the tailgate had independently unlatched. The contact stated that the tailgate had fallen onto the crank. The contact stated that there were damages to the tailgate and the paint due to the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the contact was informed that the repair was not covered under recall or special programs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact referenced an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 22,550.

POWER TRAIN
This truck has shut down on me, put itself into park and set the ebrake numerous times. Twice it restarted right away, one time it died and would not restart because the battery was completely discharged. It have been in service 3 times, the 1st time no faults were found, the truck was in the shop for 2 months. The second time the vehicle was in the shop for 2 or 3 months and the etorque was replaced. Currently the vehicle is in the shop, the dealership said the truck started right up with no faults found, the shop is trying to find the fault.

WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY THE TRUCK WILL JUST SHUT OFF ALMOIST CAUSING A REAR end collision. this has happened 3 times and the truck will not start some times needing the battery to be disconnected in order for the truck to crank back up.

VISIBILITY/WIPER
Blind spot towing mirrors very unsafe cars motorcycles and people disappear behind mirrors especially the right side have had many close calls. Ram needs to go back to old style mirrors.
