BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS
A numerous occasions, when I put the car into reverse to back out of a porking spot etc The backup sensor on the right side of the car activates as though there's something on that side, when there is nothing there. It's extremely nerve-wracking to think you're going to hit something when you aren't. I put in a random day but this is having a multiple occasions.

I saw the recall for Nissan infotainment system randomly rebooting: R22A5 PC901 PC902. My 2019 does the same thing. I've had it occur twice in just the last month. It is available for inspection anytime. Safety issue is the same as for the recall listed above. No confirmation/reproduction by a dealer, no inspection by others, no warning lamps.

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V024000 (Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed parts were not yet available. The manufacturer had been notified of the issue. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

AIR BAGS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, STRUCTURE:BODY
1.Frame bracket has rusted out and dealer only sells whole frame. VERY EXPENSIVE *It is obviously an issue which has not been addressed but has been *noted on internet. (went after market to repair still at $775!) 2. Airbags system light now on and was on recall in the past. Dealer will only look at it for $100. * Noted on internet as a continuous issue for some. 3. Cruise Control on past recall. Has not functioned since dealer fixed in recall. *Still turns on by itself and will not go off unless I turn vehicle off. **Definite safety issue** 4. Parking brake not functioning properly was also on recall. If I use it then it will not release all the way and continues to drag. USELESS. Have had repaired 2 times by mechanic since recall. 5. Transmission replaced on SILENT recall with extended warranty. Had issues from almost the start. WHY would I purchase another Nissan of any type? Vehicle 2008 Nissan Rogue is 13 1/2 years old with only 76,000 miles. No way should it have these issues. It has never been in an accident! I love the vehicle but not these issues. I will be replacing this vehicle in the future with a competitor.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Over the past 6 months was when the following electrical issues began. I was traveling around 25 mph when my Foward Collison Warning signaled and led to the Automatic Braking Emergency engaging. There was no other vehicle or object around. I was in the countryside. The weather was clear. If this were to happen under different circumstances on a busy highway it would have caused an accident, most likely fatalities. The other drivers would have had no warning because the vehicle does brake hard even stop abruptly depending on speed. The vehicle locked up and I didn't have control over my vehicle anymore. Also more then once the Forward Collison Light came on when it was raining and/or dense fog. The brakes did not engage and the alarm did not sound but the warning still showed on the dash. It eventually stopped showing on my dash as I drove, but I did pull over and wipe the sensor area. Another problem I'm encountering is the Parking Collison Warning. Sensors are detecting something and being activated when there is no object behind vehicle. I even got out of vehicle to make sure because I didn't see anything in my camera. When I made sure there was nothing obstructing my travel I preceeded and the sensor stopped beeping. I have checked the Nissan website and entered my VIN but unfortunately there were no recalls for these malfunctioning sensors.

Saturday 08/06/2022 my 2016 Nissan Rogue caught fire as I was driving down a side street in Adrian, MI. 49221. Lights came on on my dash, it appeared to be every warning light, the car jerked me over as if I lost power steering and the car took over, my son and I could smell something hot. I put the vehicle in park as flames were coming from the engine compartment, my son was able to open his door and get out, my driver side door would not open and I had to climb out the driver side window! The fire department was called and after they were able to put out the fire as I watched my car literally melting, they told me it was an electrical fire. My car was then towed to Clift Buick GMC in Adrian, Michigan.

While driving on freeway with speed of 60-65 the hood starts like bouncing up and down. I have a fear of it breaking loose from the latch and flying up toward the front windshield and blocking the drivers view to drive. I have not took it into a manufacturer due to time so I just decided to see on the app if there was a recall on this or if anyone else has the same experience

While using the Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone system the person I call hears a whistling noise through the phone's speaker during the call and the whistling noise increases when the engine RPM is raised. This is a known problem in some of the 2016-2018 Nissan Rogue models.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
When the driver side door reaches an internal temperature of over 100 degrees in direct sunlight, the actuator that controls the door lock will no longer function until the door cools down. The problem is easily reproducible but I have not been to the dealer as of yet. There is no warning system I know of to indicate this problem. My only safety issue was trying to get into my car. I was forced to do it from the rear drivers door, reach in and manually unlock the front drivers door. The key will not turn the lock when this occurs. None of the other doors seem to be affected, but I have not tried to reproduce it with other doors.

Hi there, question. I own a 2013 Nissan Rogue and the passenger side airbag will not work because the sensor on the passenger seat is not working. So when a person seats on the passenger seat, the airbag is not active. I have contacted Nissan and they have informed me that the part is no longer available. I am sure I am not the only person who has this issue. How can I report this so that Nissan can take action on fixing this issue? Thanking you in advance. [email protected]

The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle decelerated to 45 MPH. The contact stated that the vehicle would not exceed 45 MPH. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact veered to the side of the road. The vehicle was taken to the used car dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred while driving. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that neither the authorized dealer nor the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 111,000.

issue started with crank no start, internal lights flashing, then power steering and check engine light came on. after a few more tries starting vehicle, driver side window stops functioning, all internal lights are flashing when any button is pressed, and key fob stops connecting to the vehicle.

POWER TRAIN
When driving the car it will start to slow down though i hit the gas it doesn't do anything, I have to try to find a safe place to pull over and not get hit by another car while doing so. If I stop and wait it will sometimes get better, but it started doing it more often so I stopped driving it. I'm usually driving in town on flat roads when it happens. There are no warning lights coming on, the engine temp gauge doesn't show overheating. If I put the transmission in neutral I can push the gas pedal and the RPM increases but not when the transmission is in gear. The battery is fine and has no starting issues. I have checked fluid levels and they are full.

While driving down a road at 40mph that has a speed limit of 45 there are a set railroad tracks that you go over. Of course I slow to 20mph but the forward collision warning activated but it was not a warning but an out right complete stop of the vehicle which would have cause rear end collision if someone was behind me. And it was reported to Nissan about the situation and requested to disable this safety feature but was denied.

The contact was able to restart the vehicle and continued driving. However, the failure had been reoccurring while driving. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission had failed. The dealer was notified of the failure and an appointment was scheduled for a diagnostic test. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. Car seat was removed from car to be cleaned and set in ground. The base of car seat fell off and springs and buttons popped out. The springs and buttons are those used to adjust recline of seat. Upon further inspection and comparison to identical seat purchased at same time, but different color, the broken seat had no screws holding in base of seat. The intact seat I compared it to had 8 star head screws in the base holding it onto the frame. I have never seen any screws on the actual seat of my car, I was unable to locate any screws on the ground where I set the car seat down to clean it.

Driving on NYS thruway when my vehicle suddenly started losing speed. I had the gas floored and could not get the car to accelerate. My speed dropped to 40 MPH with cars coming up fast behind me. I put on my flashers and exited the thruway.
