I took my 2022 Nissan Frontier SV 4x4 in for an oil change and a state inspection. The shop discovered that my left rear axle seal was leaking all over the brakes and rotors. As a result, it failed the inspection, and I had to spend $1,600 to get it repaired. The mechanic mentioned that it's unusual to see this issue on a 2022 model with only 27,000 miles. I figured I should report it, as it might be a concern.

The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the rear blind spot parking sensor. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The contact stated that several days later, upon entering the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start as expected. The contact was able to jump start the vehicle leading the contact to believe the battery was dead. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the battery was drained, but were unable to determine what caused the battery drainage. The vehicle was not repaired. I was sold the 2012 Nissan Frontier SL from Lynne's Nissan City in Bloomfield, NJ being told it was a safe vehicle and passed their inspection. After bringing it to my mechanic I was informed the frame was so rusted it was unsafe to drive. They are now trying to resell the vehicle not disclosing that information.

Hello, I was an owner of a new 2020 Nissan Frontier pro4x. My vehicle had 33,000 miles, garaged in the winter and never used for towing. All minor maintenance were performed at a certified Nissan dealer. On [XXX] I was driving my truck on [XXX] in Youngstown when suddenly I heard a terrifying loud grinding noise coming under the truck causing also the truck to shake violently. I'm blessed that I didn't not lose control of the vehicle and most importantly it did not happen on the freeway. This happen as I was ready to merge into [XXX]. I arranged the truck to be towed to Sims Nissan dealer in Youngstown. I was told that my driveshaft came apart somehow causing other major damages to other critical parts of the truck. I end up also calling my Insurance. I discussed with them the incident, and the insurance started a comprehensive claim. On May 29th Robert Griffith the Adjuster call me to inform me that the truck will be totaled. I've already reached out with a letter to Nissan Headquarters, I explained what happened but most importantly wanted to Nissan to be aware of my incident. Didn't get any help or support but I was given a claim number, [XXX]. I've also contacted BBB of my incident. I feel really strong that this incident should have never happened and I will do my best to get an answer. Thank you so much for your time. Several times since I purchased this vehicle new I have experienced throttle delay from a standing position. (Example) While stopped at a red ;light or a stop sign or trying to accelerate from a stopped position into oncoming traffic there is a throttle delay of a few seconds. In other words I step on the gas peddle and nothing happens. After 2 or 3 seconds the throttle picks up and the car starts to move. This is in my opinion a very serious problem because a few second delay could result in a major accident if trying to accelerate into oncoming traffic. I brought this to the attention of the nissan dealership service dept. only to be told that there is no defect found. I checked (on line) and found that other people with this vehicle have experienced the same problem. I would appreciate you investigating this serious condition. Your next question on when this condition occurs cannot be answered because it's an ongoing issue. I'll just put a date Thank you

I took my truck in to a dealership to fix the airbag recall. I do not believe they fixed it because the airbag light is still on on my dash board. It is the only light on as this truck is low miles and regularly maintained.. I asked them and they just said, "we fixed it." However, they did not.

After owningthe vehicle for five months and around 7500 miles, I begin to notice my brake pedal pulsing when I press hard and as time went on, I started feeling vibration in the vehicle and the front wheel. It felt as if the front brake rotors warped. this should not happen. The vehicle was driven normally no overheating or hard use of the brakes.

I have had this issue for years and unable to fix it. My solution was not to drive my truck in snowy weather. The first incident was I was driving down hill around with snow that barely started to stick. I driving around 65mph when my truck started to buck. I slowed to 30mph and my truck was still bucking. It did not stop until the weather warmed. By the next storm I was traveling around 60mph in light snow and my truck slid. I slowed to 50mph and when going uphill my truck lost control. It felt like the brakes locked. I tired to get control without pressing the brakes that did not work and when I did press the brakes it felt like my petal was already pushed down. I shifted the truck to gain control. Since then I have never drove that truck above 35 mph in snow. After a few weeks of bad weather the truck would either buck or just not move. The truck finally throw a code saying the right rear wheel speed sensor had a weak connection. I took the truck to three mechanics were they found nothing wrong and could not mimic my issue. I replaced my speed sensor myself. I was able drive the truck in snow without it bucking but the truck would still lock up the brakes and slide. I just never drove fast enough that the slide wasn't serious. After years the truck stopped driving in the snow period again. I took it to a local mechanic and a nissan dealership. Both said the connection were fine to everything but they were able to lock the brakes. I was told by both that it was the abs module and the part was on back order. I called to different dealerships and multiple told me that people have waited for 6 plus months on this part. It took me years of being car-less every winter to figure out what was wrong and to get told the part was on back order. Based on my research is this isn't uncommon. I won't be shocked if there hasn't been car accidents from this. My vehical is dangerous and I have no way to fix it before next winter.

- #11656850April 25, 2025STRUCTURE:INTERIOR PANELS:SUN VISOR
The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated that while unhooking the driver’s side sun visor to block the sun, the sun visor swung back and struck the contact in the face. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the failure was acknowledged; however, the contact was informed that a replacement part was on backorder. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was given the same information as the dealer. The contact stated that due to a medical condition and the medication needed to treat the condition, he must be examined by a medical professional whenever his body gets hit, to ensure that he remains in good health. The contact had sent several emails to the manufacturer for updates and received replies that there was no update on an ETA for the part. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 200.
